04:21 AM Jak_o_Shadows: If you have a needle position sensor, rather than an endstop, you could just close loop control it to the up or down position?
04:27 AM Jak_o_Shadows: @sinned6915
11:22 AM sinned6915: i do not have motor driver yet
11:23 AM sinned6915: i was looking at either vESC or an used Anaheim Automation one from eBay.
11:25 AM sinned6915: the anaheim unit would not be able to control speed via pwm, only potentiometer
11:27 AM sinned6915: its a dumb box, with only the provision to start/stop/coast the motor
11:28 AM sinned6915: needle position sensor needs to go on the machines 'crankshaft' or some other timed linkage internally
11:29 AM sinned6915: the handwheel on the unit can get out of sync with the crankshaft
11:30 AM sinned6915: i am looking for something that i can couple with the arduino
11:30 AM sinned6915: is the proper device a phase driver or motor controller?
11:57 PM mun: Anyone know of a good way to run a power cord to a rover in a warehouse? The rover isn't battery powered
