03:31 AM BitEvil is now known as SpeedEvil
02:22 PM sinned6915: can someone point me to a resource so i can learn howto control a BLDC with arduino?
02:23 PM sinned6915: i am imagining the arduino would be programmed to have max and min speeds
02:23 PM sinned6915: then a potentiometet to go 0-100% of that range
02:25 PM sinned6915: BLDC as in a400-600W 90mm diameter motor
02:25 PM sinned6915: like a longboard
03:18 PM Phrkd is now known as Phreaked
07:32 PM rue_mohr: sinned6915, you tried this before about 2 years ago
07:32 PM rue_mohr: I still have my current control circuit on the bench
08:00 PM sinned6915: 2 yrs ago, EPIC fail
08:00 PM sinned6915: what is the control circuit on your bench?
08:00 PM sinned6915: maybe i goofed on building it
08:16 PM mrdata: sinned6915, what does your schematic look like?
08:29 PM sinned6915: i dont have it anymore. i remember it was epic blue smoke extavaganza
08:30 PM sinned6915: ight now, i want to put a BLDC on a sewing machine
08:30 PM sinned6915: i am replacing a universal AC/DC motor, that is 1/15hp , 1A
08:31 PM sinned6915: with someting like an Anaheim BLWR233 at 24V
08:31 PM sinned6915: i dont have a controller yet
08:32 PM sinned6915: i am pretty sure that i can configure arduino to either spit out 1.5-4VDC signal or PWM signal to vary the motor speed.
08:32 PM sinned6915: i want to have 'endstops' for needle position at top and bottom of range
08:33 PM sinned6915: and then have a parameter to select when the motor stops, which position it remains in
08:34 PM sinned6915: maybe another servo/solenoid to control the presser foot
08:34 PM sinned6915: so that i can mimic the behavior of an industrail machine on a home machine
09:04 PM Atomsk is now known as ace4016
09:14 PM rue_mohr: the arduino isn't your problem, its the phase driver
09:14 PM rue_mohr: its not just on/off, there are current control considerations
09:43 PM sinned6915: cant the aruduino manimupate the motor driver?
10:00 PM rue_mohr: yea you need a motor driver that can do all sorts of stuff, do you have one already?
