12:39 AM Jak_o_Shadows: So there is more PCB errors
12:45 AM Jak_o_Shadows: so I can't use the serial
12:45 AM Jak_o_Shadows: not without bodging more
02:46 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Ok, so TX isn't working
02:46 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I can live with that
02:46 AM Jak_o_Shadows: but hey, I now have a teensy tiny little serial servo driver
02:46 AM Jak_o_Shadows: that does teh PWM itself
02:47 AM zhanx_workshop: TX is always working
02:47 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I just ported rue_mohr's serial servo protocol to it
02:47 AM zhanx_workshop: i am swamped with work in TZ
02:47 AM zhanx_workshop: TX
02:47 AM Jak_o_Shadows: aha
02:47 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I somehow connected the pin to ground
02:47 AM Jak_o_Shadows: and also connected RX and TX, on the other side of the solder jumpers
03:05 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I wonder, if I set them to use unique servo numbers, how well can I just chain all the serial lines together?
03:21 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Ok, so 1 = 100 ns. I want 0.5 -> 2.5 ms
03:21 AM Jak_o_Shadows: so I need some sort of scaling.
03:21 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I need to figure out how to do scaling.
03:22 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Where is the problem really
03:23 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Hmm. 1 -> 1000 map to 1 -> (1000*2.5ms / 100ns)
03:26 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Or should I discard the region below 0.5 ms, and just have 1 = 0.5 ms
03:26 AM Jak_o_Shadows: but start from 0.5 ms
03:29 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Nah, it's nice to be able to just turn it off
04:12 PM Atomsk is now known as ace4016
06:20 PM gaze__: Hey does anyone have a clever way to make dsub cutouts without a milling machine or knockout punches?
06:45 PM Tom_L: kinda tough without a few tools
06:46 PM Tom_L: drill a line of holes and file it
06:58 PM gaze__: I have plenty of tools, I just don't have access to our machine shop due to covid
06:58 PM gaze__: and knockout punches are 500-1000 bucks!
07:16 PM Tom_L: well i've done it with a drill and files
