12:00 PM i-make-robots: *sigh* today is a day to refactor all my code. the closer i get to my goal, the more work it takes.

04:06 PM mumptai: also refactoring other peoples code helps with patience and offers new oportunities for creative swearing ;)

04:07 PM mumptai: the interesting part, is to actually try to figure out what constraints and assumptions lead to the code under refactoring
04:08 PM mumptai: its kinda the things that might be good to be avoided in future, or have to be accepted as circumstance

04:11 PM veverak: mumptai: sign of good programmer: important is not the code, important is why the code is like it is
04:12 PM mumptai: there probably are also good techniques that can be applied while refactoring
04:12 PM mumptai: i just don't know enough about 'em
04:14 PM mumptai: but i could imagine that deriving the implementation from some structured set of requirements and well defined surrounding might help with the meta. but who actually works like that?
