12:00 AM rue_mohr: I can tell ya whatever ya want to know!
12:05 AM rue_mohr: did you catch my thingiverse refs?
12:05 AM rue_mohr: sinned6915,
12:05 AM rue_mohr: (I'm just going to take a quick 8 hour nap)
12:05 AM sinned6915: np
12:05 AM sinned6915: i will look at TV
12:05 AM sinned6915: may you dream about not so angry pixies doing your bidding
12:07 AM rue_bed2: its ok, I'm IN bed
12:07 AM sinned6915: i was afraid you didnt like my attempt at angry pixie humor
12:07 AM rue_bed2: hah
12:07 AM sinned6915: AVe reference
12:07 AM rue_bed2: I can post schematic tommoorw if you would like
12:08 AM sinned6915: i want to try and leanr form figuring this out
12:08 AM rue_bed2: :)
12:08 AM sinned6915: i will ask questions in a day or two
12:08 AM rue_bed2: just dont give up an leu of asking eh?
12:08 AM sinned6915: of course not
12:09 AM sinned6915: i need to scrounge for some bits and bobs too
12:09 AM rue_bed2: the copper pipe is probably the only odd thing to try to find, but anywhere that does refrigeration should be able to throw you some scrap
12:09 AM sinned6915: i am pretty sure i have a 555
12:09 AM sinned6915: cap tubing is a bitch
12:09 AM rue_bed2: 5.25" floppy drives have find motors
12:10 AM sinned6915: it comes all different diameters
12:10 AM rue_bed2: suit to solder
12:10 AM sinned6915: good call on drive motor.
12:10 AM rue_bed2: my solder is 0.6mm for that
12:11 AM sinned6915: ok, nite nite
12:11 AM rue_bed2: mmm code myself to sleeeep
02:30 AM rue_bed2: uuuh , its not 6am yet
02:47 AM mrdata: it is in some time zone
02:48 AM mrdata: just not mine (EST)
07:09 AM flyback: BMCC
07:09 AM flyback: BMCC
09:29 AM veverak: hmm
09:29 AM veverak: anybody tip for IP camera with low latency?
09:31 AM veverak: P.S: we were asked to figure out a camera for robot... in undeground tunnel on 60m long cable
10:17 AM deshipu: can you just use a periscope? ;-)
10:18 AM deshipu: veverak: what is "low latency" for you?
10:18 AM veverak: it seems like under 200ms is win
10:18 AM deshipu: the ps2 camera is pretty good
10:19 AM deshipu: PS3 Official Eye USB Camera
10:19 AM deshipu: sorry, ps3
10:19 AM veverak: so far I've selected this: Hikvision HiWatch HWI-B140H-M
10:19 AM deshipu: and even has directional microphones
10:19 AM veverak: hmm, we wonder if 60m long USB is a good idea :D
10:20 AM deshipu: https://makehardware.com/2016/03/29/finding-a-low-latency-webcam/
10:24 AM chisight: the ps3 camera is good for it's array microphone but is otherwise not great at only 640x480. decent low light performance though.
10:27 AM deshipu: and cheap
10:27 AM veverak: money is not so much problem for this
10:27 AM chisight: dirt cheap, yes.
10:28 AM veverak: <300$
02:08 PM netwoodle is now known as noodle
02:21 PM BitEvil is now known as SpeedEvil
06:12 PM logb0t_ is now known as logb0t
07:54 PM rue_mohr: sinned6915,
08:47 PM rue_mohr: http://ruemohr.org/~ircjunk/projects/solderserver/p1140483.jpg
08:47 PM rue_mohr: can you read that ok?
08:48 PM Tom_L: i can see it
08:49 PM Tom_L: be better if you could zoom
08:52 PM DagoRed: Seriously? A push button solder dispenser?
08:53 PM DagoRed: That's impressively lazy... and now I want one.
08:54 PM DagoRed: Is there a reverse at all in case one takes too much solder out?
08:55 PM chisight: needs a foot pedal so you can hold the boar, hold the iron, and just push solder into it.
08:56 PM DagoRed: There is no reason that switch couldn't be a switch pedal.
10:36 PM sinned6915: rue_mohr: the pin numbers are a little hard to read
10:37 PM sinned6915: its hard to differentiate between 2-3-5
10:37 PM sinned6915: i think its pin 5 for the +5V control voltage
10:49 PM sinned6915: 3 for output to the step pin on the A4988
10:50 PM sinned6915: though I am not sure
10:50 PM sinned6915: I am looking at the LM555 datasheet for the one-shot monostable oscillator-
10:50 PM sinned6915: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm555.pdf
10:50 PM sinned6915: am I on the right track?
10:51 PM sinned6915: chisight: nah, no foot pedal needed, just a momentary ATX case switch, preferable with a non-nonsensical silk on the dupont connector
10:53 PM chisight: hopefully something better than an ATX case switch, those used to always fail. "my computer won't turn on"
