12:43 AM SleepyTurtle: Hi! Could someone please share a rule of thumb for choosing laser scanners for navigation?
03:04 AM flav0r: RUE !!!!!
03:04 AM flav0r: you there ?
03:11 AM flav0r: https://datasheet.octopart.com/LM9022M/NOPB-National-Semiconductor-datasheet-11896945.pdf
04:30 AM veverak: rue_shop1: ack
08:07 AM LuminaxWk is now known as Luminax
08:52 AM rue_mohr: flav0r, haha, using the filament driver as a charge pump, hah
08:54 AM rue_mohr: so, but
08:54 AM rue_mohr: its just an H bridge
08:55 AM rue_mohr: the schematics are worth more than the chip :)
09:02 AM rue_mohr: its interesting how they aren't worried about dumping that much noise on the 5V bus
09:03 AM rue_mohr: also interesting is the lack of negitive bias
09:06 AM rue_mohr: so flav0r, my answer is Si9986
09:08 AM rue_mohr: tho, aliexpress shows the LM9022 @ $9/20pcs
09:09 AM rue_mohr: so lm9022 @ ~0.50ea
09:09 AM rue_mohr: and Si9986 @ ~1.20ea
09:20 AM rue_mohr: MC33039
09:21 AM rue_mohr: ooo cheapcheap from aliexpress that one
09:23 AM rue_mohr: er, NO
09:23 AM rue_mohr: wtf
09:27 AM deshipu: it's probably a recycled part :)
09:28 AM polprog: grabby little hands with little hot air guns
09:28 AM rue_mohr: na, china is still overrun with suplus on old parts
09:29 AM rue_mohr: things like vcr head amps
09:30 AM polprog: i guess thats right
11:28 AM X-Scale` is now known as X-Scale
12:51 PM flav0r: yessss cheap it seems
12:52 PM flav0r: $6.65 for 20 with free shipping
12:52 PM flav0r: so i got some !
03:13 PM teej_ is now known as teej
03:45 PM SoCo_cpp_: I've got a purported ADXL345 accelerometer chip that is returning the incorrect device ID (via I2C). It is probably a fake. Does anyone know how to lookup a chip by the Device ID?
03:46 PM SoCo_cpp_: I'm getting device id 0xAB, but my ADXL345's should be returning OxE5. Any way to lookup what *would* return an 0xAB?
04:16 PM SpeedEvil: Where did you buy it from?
04:18 PM SoCo_cpp_: we ordered some from mouser for now, but this came from an independent seller of some kind :-|
04:18 PM SoCo_cpp_: stuck with about 150 of them (~$7/ea)
05:36 PM LuminaxHome is now known as Luminax
05:54 PM veverak: rue_mohr: any success?
07:03 PM rue_mohr: no
08:09 PM rue_mohr: veverak, your asleep now, right?
08:24 PM rue_shop1: ok
08:26 PM rue_shop1: Tom_L, pla wouldn't work, casue it'd come off in the heat
08:27 PM rue_shop3: mecha, I have to focus
08:52 PM rue_shop1: a good goal would be to get the old servo demo working
09:00 PM rue_shop1: ok, the pressure sensor baord is missing
09:02 PM rue_shop1: found it, cant recall if it works
09:08 PM rue_shop1: ok tiny26...
09:08 PM rue_shop1: I wonder if the firmware works
09:11 PM rue_shop1: hmm the mecha will use compound muscles, and each should have a local disconnect
09:12 PM rue_shop1: oh, I suppose there would be a big bus bank for each muscle then
09:12 PM rue_shop1: ok
09:12 PM rue_shop1: that makes the picture simpler
09:35 PM rue_shop1: oooh anchors on the sensor pipes
10:26 PM rue_shop3: ok I have the code here, but I'm not sure, quite how it works at the moment
10:27 PM rue_shop3: actauly
10:30 PM Tom_L: what heat?
10:30 PM Tom_L: the etchant?
10:30 PM rue_shop3: when are you tom?
10:30 PM Tom_L: problem would be getting it to stick good to the copper
10:30 PM rue_shop3: oh, yea the etchant heat
10:31 PM rue_shop3: the pla has a lot of thermal movement
10:40 PM Tom_L: there must be some medium you can 'print' onto the copper that _would_ work
10:40 PM rue_shop3: if I heated the copper it'd prolly be ok
10:40 PM rue_shop3: till it cooled...
