08:30 PM gartt: Heh this crappy old dinosaur Intel P4 Toshiba Satellite has a better keyboard and better low-aspect ratio monitor than the 6gig 5-core Samsung next to me with its crappy shallow button keyboard and high-aspect ratio monitor that's only good for watching movies but requires scrolling a third more to see anything in documents and websites

08:33 PM gartt: zhanx: Damn right. This old Toshiba is still going. I don't even know how old it is, but it must be around 15. Running slackware and fluxbox, it's remarkably fast
08:37 PM gartt: I never understood the keyboards of new laptops to make them thinner. They suck to use. I can type much faster and more enjoyably on the old style laptop keyboards that are more like desktop keyboards
