12:07 AM rue_mohr: ok, dynamic row sizign, here I go...
12:20 AM rue_mohr: called object 'r_height' is not a function or function pointer
12:20 AM rue_mohr: hahahah
12:20 AM rue_mohr: thats a first
02:29 AM flav0r: HEY HEY !!!!
04:56 AM Jak_o_Shadows: hi
05:20 AM polprog: hello
08:48 AM rue_mohr: ok, well aside from gui objects that seem to be much larger than they should be, I'm almost good
10:13 AM ldiamond: I'm looking for a gearbox with a high ratio multiplier that can take the power of a human arm with a 6-10 inches lever. I.e. I want to turn a handle to produce very high rpm on two wheels.
10:13 AM ldiamond: Maybe add some kind of flywheel too
10:15 AM Tom_L: harmonic drive
10:16 AM Tom_L: only they're mostly for reduction
08:29 PM k3g: harmonic drives don't backdrive easily
08:29 PM k3g: nor efficiently
08:34 PM zhanx: rue_mohr, that is right
08:35 PM zhanx: wait my scroll back was 2-3 days old
08:44 PM harwiltz: Hello all. I'm taking an introductory control course, and I'm tasked with designing a swing-up controller for an inverted pendulum on a cart. This course has focused solely on linear control, and the swing-up control is supposed to be non-linear, so I've never learned anything about this. I'm reading a paper now where they suggest to simply apply a sinusoidal force at the natural frequency of the pendulum
08:44 PM harwiltz: for the swing-up controller, but I don't understand where they came up with that idea. Can someone please explain this?
09:51 PM rue_bed: and gone
11:15 PM rue_mohr: I was noticing that the door ont eh cuppboard is kinda worn, then realized its about 50 years old
11:57 PM rue_mohr: wow
11:57 PM rue_mohr: cant buy anything from china anymore, min shipping is like $8
11:57 PM rue_mohr: everything goes from 8-55 for shipping
11:59 PM rue_mohr: its over.
11:59 PM rue_mohr: bugger
11:59 PM rue_mohr: shold have bought more, not sure of what
