10:02 PM Femrello: Are ROS and Gazebo decent tools for a begginers start in robotics?

10:05 PM zhanx: then as i learned more i stopped using the bootloader on the boards
10:06 PM Femrello: Ill look into arduino. I already know C so it seems like a good choice.
10:07 PM zhanx: well arduino is just an avr board with a bootloader
10:07 PM zhanx: and the knock off ones are cheaper than you can make them
10:07 PM Femrello: Also looking into robot simulators so I dont actually have to buy hardware.

10:08 PM Femrello: I have spare raspberry pi's, I imagine those could work well with some attachments.

10:09 PM expert975: Starting with Arduino then moving deeper into the microcontrollers is a nice ride.

10:13 PM Femrello: While im asking, any good resources for learning the hardware fundamentals I would need? Pretty much a begginer when it comes to hardware.
