12:12 AM flav0r: maybe i sidestepped it!
12:19 AM rue_mohr: no I'm pretty sure you missed the easter egg
12:19 AM rue_mohr: and it was the size of the t-rex
12:19 AM rue_mohr: whatever...
12:22 AM rue_mohr: Tom_L, want to makea super simple plastic injection moulder and play with making plastic moulds?
12:48 AM flav0r: WHAT WAS IN THE OMELETTE? ???
01:40 AM mrdata: eggs
02:28 AM Jak_o_Shadows: nah rue, I never even tried
02:28 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I have i2C writing working pretty well.
02:28 AM Jak_o_Shadows: i2c reading, well, i was having a little trouble
02:29 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Nicer drill press than mine. Mine is just stamped.
02:29 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Ok, admittedly mine is rust-free and working at the moment.
02:29 AM Jak_o_Shadows: through at somepoint I want to coat the metal surfaces with something.
02:31 AM flav0r: i2c needs pullups!
02:31 AM flav0r: usually
02:31 AM flav0r: woot
02:31 AM flav0r: i got all the navigation done for this parts database
02:31 AM flav0r: now to make some functionality
02:31 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I have internal pullups on the stm32's
02:32 AM Jak_o_Shadows: but their internal i2c hardare is a little complex
02:33 AM flav0r: always something dude!
03:51 AM flav0r: ill paste this here too .. you guys seems smart enough
03:51 AM flav0r: these aliexpress people are maddening
03:52 AM flav0r: someone try to figure this out
03:52 AM flav0r: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/50-Set-ZH-1-5mm-Female-Connector-Wire-Cable-Plug-with-SMD-Horizontal-Male-Socket-2/32814509468.html
03:52 AM flav0r: after 4 tries they finally sent me THIS datasheet ....
03:53 AM flav0r: https://imgur.com/a/5puGkgR
03:53 AM flav0r: in the listing theres a drawing of something called ZH-AWB
03:53 AM flav0r: the datasheet has a model of ZH-AWR
03:53 AM flav0r: am i just missing something here
08:54 AM rue_mohr: flav0r, its just a zh connector set, what is confusing you?
08:55 AM rue_mohr: the #P is the number of wires in it
08:55 AM rue_mohr: whats to know?
08:57 AM rue_mohr: http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/pdf/eng/eZH.pdf
12:12 PM flav0r: well theres no real confusion with any one sheet
12:12 PM flav0r: the “confusion” is there appears to be slight differences
03:46 PM veverak: https://scontent-frt3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.15752-9/42603553_2394626017220851_5554565536152551424_n.png?_nc_cat=100&oh=59900d74b0fc06f941298864d1c2b401&oe=5C605A6C
03:47 PM veverak: well
03:47 PM veverak: freecad has it's bugs
03:47 PM veverak: but doable
03:47 PM veverak: :)
04:16 PM flav0r: building an ark ????
04:52 PM Kristhian is now known as kristhian
09:37 PM rue_mohr: so zhanx
09:37 PM rue_mohr: my wifi coffeemaker
09:37 PM rue_mohr: I was thinking on it
09:37 PM rue_mohr: I should have some lights and buttons on the front of it atleast
09:37 PM rue_mohr: I mean, if nothing more to know if its on or not
09:38 PM rue_mohr: I'd hate to have to run to a web browser just to know if its on
09:38 PM rue_mohr: so, what should I put on it?
09:39 PM rue_mohr: you know, I suppose i should work out if I have enough power for the esp8266 first
09:41 PM zhanx: that would be a good idea for all of it
09:42 PM rue_mohr: thought on what should be on it tho?
09:43 PM zhanx: dual color led, green coffee is ready, red brewing, off is off
09:43 PM rue_mohr: on the web interface, I need to be able to set the clock, start times 1 and 2, manually turn on or off, know if its on or off
09:43 PM zhanx: one push button to trigger of course
09:43 PM rue_mohr: daul, dude, new era, lets do an rgb
09:43 PM zhanx: ok then rgbw
09:43 PM rue_mohr: I have some of those serial leds
09:43 PM rue_mohr: I havn't tried them yet
09:43 PM rue_mohr: w...
09:43 PM rue_mohr: w####
09:43 PM rue_mohr: ...
09:44 PM zhanx: i am working out host names for my wifi to make sure the router sees friendly names
09:44 PM zhanx: 2818
09:44 PM rue_mohr: yea, thanks
09:44 PM rue_mohr: I wonder if there is a library for that...
09:45 PM rue_mohr: haha for arduino
09:45 PM rue_mohr: :)
09:45 PM zhanx: there is
09:45 PM rue_mohr: go figure! ok!
09:45 PM zhanx: ok, I you can set 2 host names in the software
09:45 PM zhanx: one for the router and one for the "ide"
09:45 PM rue_mohr: k
09:46 PM zhanx: WiFi.hostname("Water-Sensor"); called before wifi.begin and
09:46 PM zhanx: ArduinoOTA.setHostname("Water-Sensor"); after it
09:47 PM zhanx: that should help see whats crashed
09:48 PM rue_mohr: zhanx, the outside is getting cold
09:49 PM zhanx: yes it is, hence why all my sensors are back inside again
09:49 PM zhanx: 2 are oda
09:50 PM rue_mohr: I presume d is for dead
09:50 PM rue_mohr: whats oda?
09:50 PM zhanx: dead dead
09:50 PM zhanx: I meant doa
09:50 PM rue_mohr: ok
09:50 PM zhanx: dead on arrival
09:50 PM rue_mohr: so much for learning new military things
09:50 PM zhanx: was talking to the wife when i typed that
09:51 PM rue_mohr: the sugar is apparently only for infection control
09:51 PM rue_mohr: I tried it on my last wound, no bleeding-mess control with sugar
09:51 PM rue_mohr: so I'll go back to 400c 'singe' to stop bleeding
09:52 PM rue_mohr: I think 400 is hot enough
09:52 PM zhanx: wonder if the sugar was cane sugar back then
09:52 PM rue_mohr: its not corn up here
09:53 PM zhanx: ok the ota is up how i want it. next up the Beaglebone black as a server
09:54 PM rue_mohr: I designed the cover for the coffeemachine panel
09:55 PM rue_mohr: so, I could put the OTA in and close it up now
09:55 PM rue_mohr: it would be nice, I need the bench space
09:55 PM zhanx: hows it powered and did you range test it?
09:56 PM rue_mohr: they split it, in the base was a power supply/io board, in the top was the controller
09:56 PM rue_mohr: so, I replaceed its brain
09:56 PM zhanx: k
09:56 PM rue_mohr: took a bit to work out how the io boards signals worked, but I got it
09:57 PM rue_mohr: so in the top is a small io interface, and the esp8266
09:57 PM rue_mohr: they aren't using an isolated 5V supply, so, no plugging into it
09:57 PM rue_mohr: 120VAC -> resistors/caps -> 5VDC
09:57 PM zhanx: ummm that is not good
09:57 PM rue_mohr: doesn't matter
09:58 PM rue_mohr: I dont have to touch it
09:58 PM zhanx: k
09:58 PM rue_mohr: flash w/ ota and close it up, right? :)
09:58 PM rue_mohr: I dont even have to figure out the software
09:58 PM zhanx: just add the host tags so you can find it easier
09:58 PM rue_mohr: park it somewhere in the house and write the software later
09:59 PM rue_mohr: well, as is, I have to know the ip address, cause the mdns on my network doesn't work, no upnp routers
09:59 PM rue_mohr: but I got it, so, I'm ok
09:59 PM zhanx: ok
09:59 PM rue_mohr: I can do it command line
10:00 PM rue_mohr: THO, good point I seem to need to do a hardware reset after the first update
10:00 PM zhanx: long as you got it, you can install it. set the mac address in the router and call it good
10:00 PM rue_mohr: oooh yea
10:00 PM zhanx: then program it never
10:00 PM rue_mohr: I can static it
10:00 PM rue_mohr: didn't think of that
10:00 PM rue_mohr: I suppose it should be static
10:00 PM zhanx: all mine are static
10:01 PM rue_mohr: I'd better break into my router then
10:01 PM zhanx: i have 75 static ips
10:01 PM rue_mohr: turn the ssh back on
10:01 PM rue_mohr: I cant remember how I divided my network
10:01 PM rue_mohr: I thnk I split it at 200
10:02 PM zhanx: I only have 4 hard ports so guess where mine is split at?
10:02 PM rue_mohr: *sigh* ok... that ssh port is soemthing to deal with...
10:02 PM rue_mohr: oh I mean the address range
10:02 PM zhanx: reminder 8266 is the port for the OTA
10:02 PM rue_mohr: I think ... above? 200 is static
10:02 PM zhanx: 5-200 is static for me
10:03 PM rue_mohr: ok, where is a monitor and keybaord....
10:03 PM rue_mohr: I need to make supper too
10:03 PM zhanx: get a rice cooker, add an esp to that also
10:04 PM rue_mohr: heating might be less of a problem this year if I move the 3d printers in form the shop
10:04 PM zhanx: eat, clean it refill for the next day
10:04 PM rue_mohr: I ahve a rice burner
10:04 PM rue_mohr: but I'm not supposed to be eating th stuff
10:04 PM rue_mohr: cholestersol
10:04 PM zhanx: i would starve with out rice
10:04 PM rue_mohr: if, that is, the cholesterol isn't part of a throid problem
10:05 PM zhanx: I eat lots of rice and vegetables
10:20 PM rue_mohr: according to this I moved it to port 10
10:20 PM rue_mohr: hha and I'm in
10:20 PM rue_mohr: postit...
10:20 PM rue_mohr: exit
10:21 PM rue_mohr: haha I think its under the efault nmap range
11:12 PM flav0r: HEY HEY !
11:35 PM zhanx: what you p to flav0r
11:36 PM zhanx: up
