12:26 AM rue_bed: wow I hear interesting things when I'm falling asleep
12:32 AM flav0r: WOOT !
02:29 AM flav0r: whart did you hear dude ???
02:47 AM flav0r: http://cathodecorner.com/nwl/nwld-mod-top.jpg
02:48 AM flav0r: hey see how this guy shoves the wires from the tube into female header connectors
02:48 AM flav0r: anyone know of a “better” type of connector to use for that?
02:49 AM flav0r: a different approach perhaps
04:08 AM Jak_o_Shadows: ah, damn, my protoboard is a different pitch to these pins
04:08 AM Jak_o_Shadows: dammit
04:41 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I made it work anyway
04:51 AM Jak_o_Shadows: http://pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=568bbeb33583ec10ed293db25819c9f9
08:49 AM rue_mohr: --
08:49 AM rue_mohr: Jak_o_Shadows, 1mm pitch eh?
08:49 AM rue_mohr: amazing how much .27mm can add up
01:52 PM chris_99: Hey, i'm just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHGLYRUKWeM It seems really amazing how agile it is. I don't really understand how it works though, so would be curious to know more
05:59 PM z64555: I'm pretty sure that's memory metal
06:02 PM SpeedEvil: The description says pnuematic
06:02 PM SpeedEvil: Pnumatic compliant actuators can be very fast.
06:03 PM z64555: that was my second guess, actually, didn't see the description :/
06:04 PM z64555: wonder how they're controlling the pressure to the chambers, tho
06:30 PM slicktux: Hello all, I am working with a Lidar and I am trying to come up with a formula, or algorithm, for detecting a best path forward. I'm thinking vectors and summation of them to do so; anyone here have experience with autonomizing robots with lidars?
08:12 PM _unreal_: been doing some hacking https://www.cnczone.com/forums/controller-cards/366112-software.html
08:55 PM Jak_o_Shadows: yeah rue_mohr. Apparently it's a JTAG connector - and I don't really have a JTAG programmer
09:19 PM zhanx: Jak_o_Shadows, make one
09:20 PM Jak_o_Shadows: I thought about that. I don't have a spare stm32.
09:20 PM Jak_o_Shadows: I should reprogram one of the st-links though
09:20 PM zhanx: st-links have one built in right?
09:29 PM Jak_o_Shadows: not the cheap ones
11:02 PM rue_mohr: itsn't stm32 only jtag?
11:06 PM Tom_L: pretty sure yes
11:07 PM rue_mohr: well, I have to be up at like 7:30 in the morning :(
11:08 PM Tom_L: why so late?
11:08 PM Tom_L: :)
11:08 PM rue_mohr: ugh
11:08 PM Tom_L: 5am every day
11:08 PM rue_mohr: there is a 90% chance they will miss the verry and it'll be 9:30, which I can take
11:09 PM Tom_L: gotta work?
11:10 PM rue_mohr: yea, disable a fire alarm sys for some pipe fitters
11:22 PM flav0r: wow
11:22 PM flav0r: i usually get out of bed at the crack of noon
11:22 PM Jak_o_Shadows: nah, the stm32's are SWD
11:22 PM Jak_o_Shadows: 6.30am, which is between you two
11:29 PM flav0r: what you working on Jak_o_Shadows
11:30 PM Jak_o_Shadows: I have a VL53L0X time of flight distance sensor I want to use
11:36 PM flav0r: rock on
11:36 PM flav0r: was it CHEAP ????
11:39 PM Jak_o_Shadows: $6?
11:40 PM flav0r: seems like a lot!
11:44 PM Jak_o_Shadows: Only #3.08 (AUD) if you buy 5000!
11:50 PM flav0r: oh you buy them local ?
11:56 PM Jak_o_Shadows: nah, online. aliexpress I thought
