12:18 AM rue_mohr: --
12:22 AM rue_mohr: ok, force feedback servo
12:22 AM rue_mohr: but first, supper
12:22 AM rue_mohr: or... tea?
12:22 AM rue_mohr: anda movie?
12:22 AM rue_mohr: ugh
01:18 AM pokmo: anyone know of any IR beam sensors that don't need both a transmitter and receiver?
01:19 AM pokmo: separate transmitter and receiver. the ones i've found come in pairs
01:20 AM pokmo: i wonder if there's any that's just one unit
01:20 AM pokmo: i.e. requiring just one power source
01:42 AM rue_mohr: pokmo, so youwant one with a reflector
01:43 AM pokmo: rue_mohr most of the IR beam transmitters i've found have a fairly wide angle - around 15 degs
01:44 AM pokmo: at say, a 2m distance, that's a pretty wide scope of view
01:45 AM pokmo: or does it not matter since the IR only reflects off the reflector?
03:20 AM rue_mohr: should be fine
03:20 AM rue_mohr: do you need 300 or more of them?
05:16 AM Jak_o_Shadows: How narrow?
05:17 AM Jak_o_Shadows: If you swap it to an angle, you might find it easier
05:17 AM Jak_o_Shadows: pokmo^
05:17 AM Jak_o_Shadows: also, the VL53L0x is a laser type sensor
05:17 AM Jak_o_Shadows: could be useful - i have one, haven't gotten it working yet
05:22 AM pokmo: rue_mohr not that many. just around 5
05:24 AM pokmo: Jak_o_Shadows nice. i'll check that out
05:27 AM Jak_o_Shadows: If you do get keen on that, let me know, i'll spend a couple of nights trying to get the code working for it
05:27 AM * Jak_o_Shadows doesn't guarantee success
09:57 AM VansFannel: Hi!
09:58 AM VansFannel: I need to construct a closed room with an obstacle inside, put a robot and make a map using odometry. How can I do it? Thanks.
10:13 AM polprog: import robotics
10:14 AM mrdata: he left
10:14 AM polprog: robotics.robot();
10:14 AM polprog: ikr
10:15 AM polprog: but every time he joins, he asks more and more broad question
12:08 PM rue_bed: it says you have to wait for an answer, not wait for the answer to finish
12:10 PM rue_bed: hmm what am I going to do today
01:38 PM rue_shop4: ok, force feedback servo, step 1, fix controller board
04:47 PM rue_mohr: ok, yay I fixed the toilet
05:47 PM ^O__O^ is now known as ^u__u^
06:50 PM ^u__u^ is now known as vampirewings
07:44 PM rue_shop4: I tested the m32 board, its working ok
10:56 PM Tom_itx is now known as Guest64656
11:22 PM Tom_shop: test
11:24 PM _unreal_: 1-2-3
11:27 PM Tom_L: setting up sasl
11:42 PM Tom_shop: test
11:42 PM mrdata: ok
11:42 PM Tom_L: setting up sasl
11:42 PM mrdata: how's your sasl
11:42 PM Tom_L: working
11:42 PM mrdata: does it have swizzle?
11:42 PM Tom_L: huh?
11:42 PM mrdata: \o/
11:43 PM Tom_shop: maybe swaggle but no swizzle
11:43 PM mrdata: good, then
11:43 PM _unreal_: I dont know what any of those terms are
11:44 PM Tom_L: they are for highly skilled personel only
