12:37 AM rue_shop4: what if I got to the last question and didn't understand any of them
12:59 AM rue_shop4: .... I lost a 0806 on the floor.... suppose there is no point trying to look for it...
01:01 AM rue_shop4: noope I installed it somewhere it wasn't supposed to go
02:00 AM rue_shop4: mmm nice dac,
02:01 AM rue_shop4: it looks like it has the same bumps as the last one I made, but their in the same place
02:01 AM rue_shop4: I think its a ripple carry thing with the 74hc393 I'm using to test it
02:32 AM rue_shop3: ok so
02:33 AM rue_shop3: lets play op-amp
02:33 AM rue_shop3: on one side we have 0-5V
02:33 AM rue_shop3: on the other side we have 0-1V
02:33 AM rue_shop3: the 0-1V is feedback
02:33 AM rue_shop3: waaaaait
02:33 AM rue_shop3: what?
02:33 AM rue_shop3: bipolar
02:33 AM rue_shop3: oooh, damn
02:37 AM rue_shop3: I need to rewrite that op-amp solver program
02:37 AM rue_shop3: ok
02:37 AM rue_shop3: on one side we have 0-5V
02:38 AM rue_shop3: on the other we have -1 to 1V
02:48 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Oooh, fluid mechanics problem, count me in
02:51 AM rue_shop3: hu?
02:53 AM Jak_o_Shadows: veverak form earlier
02:54 AM rue_shop3: k,
02:54 AM * rue_shop3 checks if the calc worked
03:49 AM rue_shop3: ok, +- the amp limits, my numbers were close
03:58 AM veverak: last exam finished!
04:01 AM rue_shop3: I cant really work out a way of doing digitally controlled current regulation without a DAC
04:02 AM rue_shop3: reading the current with an ADC would be bad, cuase it can climb really fast
04:02 AM rue_shop3: and if the threshold is analog, I dont think there is a digital way to set it
04:07 AM veverak: hmm
04:07 AM veverak: z64555 is not here :/
04:17 AM rue_shop3: ok I didn't solve everything, but I have a nice new little R-2R module design
04:32 AM Jak_o_Shadows: veverak, technnically, I should be able to handle simple fluid mechanics stuff
04:32 AM veverak: https://imgur.com/a/6qXreHv
04:53 AM Jak_o_Shadows: hmmm.
04:54 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I think I would expect the top one to drain to the level of the bottom of the middle hole
04:54 AM Jak_o_Shadows: so 3cm?
04:55 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Making some simplifying assumptions, the diameter of the pipes doesn't have a whole lot to do with the steady state of the system
04:55 AM veverak: talked about this with two people with some knowledge
04:56 AM veverak: both said: with this small diameter and properties of water, it's not so suprising
04:59 AM Jak_o_Shadows: ohhhh. Yeah, cause viscuous water
04:59 AM Jak_o_Shadows: is it siphoning all out? Is that's what's happening?
05:54 AM veverak: nothing goes down :)
05:54 AM veverak: after few hours, it suddenly started to flowing like hell
05:56 AM Jak_o_Shadows: oh, lol
05:56 AM Jak_o_Shadows: yeah, bigger tube would fix that. It's bloody weird though
05:56 AM Jak_o_Shadows: completley unintuivie
03:01 PM rue_bed: ah, I couldn't understand what it is
03:01 PM rue_bed: oops, scroll
06:48 PM rue_shop3: ok, I got the adapter for the 12' mecha
07:36 PM Jak_o_Shadows: "adapter"
07:44 PM Jak_o_Shadows: ?
10:01 PM Tom_L: rue_shop3,
10:01 PM Tom_L: would a water cooled copper tube around the motor help keep it from gettin too hot?
10:02 PM Tom_L: may be the best alternate to gettin a bigger motor
10:02 PM Tom_L: got an old fishtank pump i can use to circulate it
10:36 PM Jak_o_Shadows: oh lol, of course you get stupid results if you tell your logic analyzer that ground is rx
11:39 PM rue_: Tom_L, lots of the china ones put a sleve around the whole motor case
11:39 PM rue_: Jak_o_Shadows, esp since its expecting 0-5V
11:40 PM Jak_o_Shadows: Yeah. This particular serial adaptor sems to have some kind of differential chip thingy
11:40 PM Jak_o_Shadows: it only shows rx, tx pins
11:53 PM wenz: hey Jak_o_Shadows
11:54 PM Jak_o_Shadows: hi
11:54 PM wenz: how are you
11:54 PM wenz: im making a deeplearning
11:54 PM wenz: im programming it
11:54 PM wenz: ill show you my code
