01:22 AM rue_shop4: "warranty void if broken" WELL, ISN'T __THAT__ CONVENIENT FOR THEM!!!!
01:35 AM mrdata: always
03:18 AM rue_mohr: gee the world is getting quiet
03:18 AM Jak_o_Shadows: It is heading into winter
03:18 AM rue_mohr: not in canada
03:19 AM rue_mohr: I got a spare room, come visit for 5 months and build robots
03:19 AM Jak_o_Shadows: aha. Not sure work would appreciate that.
03:20 AM rue_mohr: its called working remotly, thats what the internet is for
03:20 AM Jak_o_Shadows: My work on that front (building robots) today might be limited to determining that this DE-9 (DB-9?) connector does not match a serial connection
03:20 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I am unable to work remotely.
11:58 AM rue_shop4: Jak_o_Shadows, connector of cable
11:59 AM rue_shop4: is it a db9M-F cable?
11:59 AM rue_shop4: does it have an APC part number? ;)
12:02 PM rue_shop4: ok, makers faire, what did I forgot???
08:56 PM Jak_o_Shadows: Nah, I cut ut off a gamepad, so I really don't think it's compatible
09:01 PM Jak_o_Shadows: It's only got 4 wires. I would guess they were +, GND, analog1, analog2
09:02 PM rue_shop4: prolly not
09:02 PM rue_shop4: + - DN and DP
09:03 PM Jak_o_Shadows: DN, DP?
09:03 PM rue_shop4: data negitive, and data positive
09:03 PM rue_shop4: thats what the usb data lines are called
09:03 PM Jak_o_Shadows: oooh.
09:04 PM rue_shop4: red black white green
09:04 PM Jak_o_Shadows: I dunno man. Why would you connect gamepad pedals via usb?
09:04 PM Jak_o_Shadows: The colours do match though
09:04 PM rue_shop4: what did it plug into?
09:05 PM Jak_o_Shadows: A set of pedals
09:05 PM Jak_o_Shadows: That would've had a brake & an accelerator
09:06 PM rue_shop4: if it went to a computer, its usb
09:21 PM Jak_o_Shadows: oh. Nah, it went to the wheel I think
11:32 PM rue_mohr: who knew, an i2 printer is a snug fit for a standard server rack
11:33 PM rue_mohr: *WHICH MEANS* its really plausable to make a rack mount printer
11:34 PM rue_shop4: with a few minor changes to the Z motor mounts, and changing up to use 4 of them, you can use the rack as the frame of the printer
