12:06 AM SpeedEvil: iut:)
12:09 AM SpeedEvil: :)
01:37 AM LuminaxWork is now known as LuminaxWk
02:49 AM Sargun: If you were to build a quick connect mechanism for a 4 inch water hose, how would you do it
02:50 AM Sargun: assuming you have magnetic couple
03:18 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I probably wouldn't use magnets?
04:01 AM SpeedEvil: Sargun: I would take a hozelock fitting and scale it.
04:01 AM SpeedEvil: Sargun: More seriously - do you actually mean 4" in diameter?
04:25 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I suppose pressure is important
05:04 AM SpeedEvil: Quick couplers for that size of hose are quite available.

05:28 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Twist-lock typey things?
05:28 AM Jak_o_Shadows: How do they seal?
05:34 AM SpeedEvil: Big gasket.
05:34 AM SpeedEvil: Clamp.
05:34 AM veverak: https://imgur.com/a/hHF2qrp
05:34 AM veverak: well
05:34 AM veverak: the battery fits in nicely
11:57 AM Sargun: SpeedEvil: yes
11:57 AM Sargun: SpeedEvil: I'm trying to build an automatic vacuum filtration system
11:58 AM Sargun: basically, there is a lower vessel -- which has a rubber seal, and lubricant.
11:58 AM Sargun: and a conveyor of filter paper atop it
11:58 AM Sargun: and then the upper vessel which carries the slurry
11:59 AM Sargun: When the system is in brew mode -- the upper vessel needs to clamp down on the lower vessel -- so the filter paper is in between. Subsequently, the lower vessel pressurizes.
11:59 AM Sargun: One the slurry is mixed, the lower vessel pulls a vacuum
11:59 AM Sargun: this makes coffee.
11:59 AM Sargun: Then the conveyor belt moves
11:59 AM Sargun: and we start the process over again
12:00 PM Sargun: I can draw a diagram if it helps
08:47 PM zhanx: Sargun: sounds cool
08:48 PM rue_mohr: so its not a supper amchine
