12:54 AM rue_: ok, so I cut the bad connector off my headphones
12:57 AM rue_: it seems a dependency check would have been in order
12:57 AM rue_: I have no connector to put back on it...
12:57 AM rue_: somehow
12:57 AM rue_: it looks like 3 ring connectors are out of stock here
12:57 AM rue_: somehow
12:57 AM * rue_ buys 100 pcs from china to make sure it dosn't happen again
02:21 AM rue_: damnit!
02:22 AM orlock: rue_: AC adaptor for my camera has never worked for me - until now
02:22 AM orlock: I closed the battery flap
02:22 AM rue_: EVERY TIME I want to read an SD card ALL the freaking readers are gone and I need to buy another one
02:22 AM rue_: DAMJIT!!!
02:22 AM orlock: There must be a microswitch somewhere, i'm sure i tried that before
02:22 AM orlock: and i know the feeling
02:23 AM orlock: i justrealised that both my laptops (old) have SD portsin them, yay
02:23 AM orlock: all my cards are micro-sd.. time to find an adaptor...
02:23 AM rue_: how the hell many readers do I need!?!?!
02:23 AM rue_: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
02:26 AM rue_shop3: I just want to read a damn card!
02:27 AM rue_shop3: damnit
02:27 AM AchiestDragon: still looking for one one with a papartape reader
02:28 AM rue_: found one...
02:28 AM rue_: ARG
02:31 AM Jak_o_Shadows: rue, as long as you put the 100pcs into a nice slot in a plastic container, i fully support your decision
02:32 AM rue_: aappparently I have to clean the cobwebs off the shop securrity camera
02:35 AM rue_: haha
02:36 AM rue_: the shop securrity cam hasn't been recording since jan.
02:37 AM rue_: thought checking it was a good idea
03:41 AM AchiestDragon: often the cams have a 7805 regulator inside there good when you run them from 9v but more often than not there used with a 12v supply , so the regulator dies after a few months to a year sometimes
03:42 AM rue_shop4: I wonder if its a noise thing, using a lienar regulator
03:43 AM Jak_o_Shadows: hmmm.
03:43 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Is it CCD or CMOS?
04:03 AM veverak: hmm
04:03 AM veverak: short range radio for "joystick and buttons"
04:03 AM veverak: "wireless controlerS"
04:04 AM veverak: only thing is that I would prefer two controllers, to one base station, so something that can do more than 1:1 connection
04:04 AM veverak: what do you suggest?
04:04 AM veverak: bletooth?
04:27 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Realsitically, your options are bluetooth, zigbee, the other RF type?
05:12 AM * rue_shop3 looks at clock
05:12 AM rue_shop3: well, there's yer problem, its 3am
05:15 AM veverak: Jak_o_Shadows: seem so
05:16 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Like, zigbee/the other RF type is the best solution isn't it?
05:16 AM veverak: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2479 could work for devel phase
05:16 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Like, performance wise
05:16 AM veverak: hmm
05:16 AM veverak: aren't zigbee more expensive?
05:16 AM Jak_o_Shadows: yeah
05:16 AM veverak: thing is, the base station is going to be raspberry pi propably
05:16 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Bluetooth 4 has the more than 1:1 doesn't it?
05:16 AM veverak: I think so
05:18 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I'd show you the bluetooth module I bought soewhat recently, but aliexpress isnt' letting me login
05:20 AM veverak: something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HC-06-RS232-Wireless-Serial-4-Pin-Bluetooth-RF-Transceiver-Module-With-backplane/1859109824.html ?
05:23 AM Jak_o_Shadows: Nah, a nicer one
05:23 AM Jak_o_Shadows: I have used those in the past.
05:24 AM Jak_o_Shadows: they're 1:1 mostly I think
05:24 AM Jak_o_Shadows: work pretty well though
