12:20 AM anniepoo: turns out the glue between head and body made a sort of natural washer

12:21 AM anniepoo: cut a slit in washer, tearing the ball
12:21 AM anniepoo: but put piece back, it's pretty much invisible
12:21 AM anniepoo: so put body on shaft, then put on glue, and then put on head
12:22 AM anniepoo: if worse comes to worse I can replace the head, I have another yellow ball

10:21 AM z64555: anybody have experiance unfreezing rusted bearings? I've got an offset shaft/double pillow block chunk of iron whos bearings were left out in the elements
10:22 AM z64555: tried hammering at the shaft in both axial directions, but that just chewed up the block a bit

10:34 AM z64555: no access from inside. I have about 1/8th of an inch clearance around the shaft
10:37 AM SpeedEvil: If it's actually iron, phosphoric acid can remove rust
10:37 AM SpeedEvil: which may help. Plus heat

05:05 PM rue_shop3: the idea with that one is that the frame is completely non-fritical, it just needs to be ridgid, everything attached to it is adjusted to be correct

09:47 PM z64555: stopped by my dad's today to get the flywheel tapped on the lawnmower, forgot to bring the wheel puller, though, and ran out of time/daylight today

09:50 PM zhanx: yep, you hold that in the air (clear of the feet) and tap with hammer the vibrations and the weight
