[00:16:41] <Jak_o_Shadows> nn
[08:58:03] <rue_bed> did the guy ever do that gearbox?
[10:52:28] <blib> has anyone coded a spline movement type method or moving 4-wheeled robots here?
[13:13:07] <mbrumlow> I got my rpi3 robot up and running, you can battle with the intel edison one if you like. http://pluto.brumtopia.com:8081/
[13:13:17] <mbrumlow> The intel one is on port 8080
[13:13:40] <deshipu> how do you shoot?
[13:14:26] <deshipu> how do you switch the headlights on?
[13:16:45] <mbrumlow> no headlights :(
[13:16:49] <mbrumlow> or cannon is on it right now
[13:16:58] <mbrumlow> I plan on putting the dart gun back on
[13:32:24] <deshipu> no death rays?
[13:32:38] <deshipu> what's the use a of a robot without a death ray?
[13:47:57] <Snert_> it's almost ther, unfortunately.
[13:59:23] <mbrumlow> The new bot I am thinking of putting a nurf gun on it.
[14:02:31] <deshipu> flame thrower
[15:07:31] <blib> anyone is using a brushless motor here? (100W around)?
[15:07:33] <blib> 12v
[15:52:18] <deshipu> no
[17:44:27] <z64555> blib: why ask specifically about a brushless motor, though?
[17:45:07] <z64555> They behave exactly the same as a 3-phase AC motor
[17:45:42] <z64555> delta configuration, specifically
[22:45:43] <rue_bed> blib, what you wanna know?
[22:45:52] <rue_bed> do you have a driver?
[22:45:59] <rue_bed> most drivers have a min speed
[22:55:29] <codepython777> rue_bed: do you have any recommendations for good brushless motors that are reliable but do not cost an arm/leg?
[22:55:37] <z64555> I unfortunately got disconnected around 6pm (4 hours ago), so I might of missed stuff
[22:56:32] <rue_bed> laser printers
[22:56:45] <rue_bed> free from places that dont lease laser printers
[22:56:57] <z64555> Motors are pretty durable to start off with, brushless doubly so b/c you don't have debris from the brushes to worry about.
[22:57:15] <rue_bed> colour laser printers have up to 4 brushless motors in them, matched
[22:57:21] <codepython777> z64555: any particular company recommendations?
[22:57:39] <codepython777> rue_bed: I was looking for something around 500rpm
[22:57:46] <codepython777> 100W , 12V
[22:57:48] <codepython777> > 100W
[22:57:54] <codepython777> good torque
[22:57:57] <rue_bed> they could do that, I dont know about the wattage
[22:58:06] <z64555> eh, most of the motors I work with are for electric flyers
[22:58:07] <rue_bed> how about I forward you a part number
[22:58:23] <z64555> and the occassional AC motor that got junked, somehow
[22:58:34] <rue_bed> prlly bohr or NEC motor
[22:58:57] <rue_bed> maybe panasonic
[22:59:10] <rue_bed> I'll look later,I'm trying to catch up on rest
[22:59:29] <codepython777> rue_bed: thanks
[23:25:25] <rue_bed> they are 24v, so I suppose 5A or more and its 100W
