[10:06:07] <lakshayg> Hi all! I need your suggestions for a robotics project I am doing
[10:06:39] <lakshayg> I am writing a library for motion planning as a personal project
[10:15:15] <z64555> neat
[10:16:03] <SorcererX> like a navigation system?
[10:16:27] <z64555> or maybe something to move an arm to a desired position and angle
[10:41:04] <lakshayg> I'm starting with a robot in 2D environment
[10:42:13] <SorcererX> that covers the majority of use cases I would imagine
[10:42:17] <lakshayg> Please have a look at my reddit post here: https://redd.it/4iv3o1
[10:43:09] <lakshayg> I need to make some design decisions before I go ahead
[10:43:35] <lakshayg> Any feedback is highly welcome
[11:33:17] <Snert_> more about the hardware side would be helpful.
[17:16:52] <Frank69945> Hello
[21:23:56] <rue_shop5> lak.. has to hang around irc longer
[21:46:07] <theBear> longer than me ?
[21:46:25] <DagoRed> No... that's too long.
[21:48:01] <rue_shop5> hmm
[21:48:27] <theBear> that's what she said ! woooaaahhhh ! totally off the hook maaaaaaan
[21:48:31] <rue_shop5> the medical machine I have on the deck uses damn near the same circuit I built on my diy motor driver for control
[21:48:38] <theBear> lol
[21:48:39] <DagoRed> theBear: nice
[21:48:43] <rue_shop5> theBear, where are all my L297?
[21:48:56] <theBear> i bet it got that a grade impossible approval that all our components aren't rated for too :)
[21:49:03] <theBear> umm, lawnmower ?
[21:49:30] <theBear> i got about 30 linear/audio rated to3p pfets here if ya need a few of them to craft it up
[21:51:09] <rue_shop5> I think I have some 297 around
[21:51:23] <rue_shop5> cant remmeber what devices are silly enough to use them
[21:52:25] <rue_shop5> hmm thats odd
[21:52:35] <rue_shop5> that medical machine has no flyback diodes
[21:53:24] <rue_shop5> ok, bigger question, if I'm doing the same thing they are, why dont' my driver work
[21:55:26] <rue_shop5> oh they did the current control a bit different
[21:55:35] <rue_shop5> used a monostable
[21:55:39] * rue_shop5 thinks
[21:56:36] <rue_shop5> wait a sec, there was no fet driver either
[21:56:54] <rue_shop5> the outputs of a 7408 thru a 100R resistor to the gate
[21:57:27] <rue_shop5> oh it wasn't a fet
[21:58:47] <rue_shop5> damn I forogot the part number
[21:59:09] <rue_shop5> must have been a logic level fet or a darlington NPN
[22:01:01] <rue_shop5> ARG
