08:37 akem i was wondering if some of the people over there are working day job or partial time in the robotic sector/industry because i feel like its either experimental/hobby or student, school, lots of students on freenode also..anyway i mean like there will not be much companies maybe especially in europe, boston robotics, sort of rare, maybe more in asia/japan

09:36 maiden i will build a simple "generic robot object" that are basicly a set of shapes, where the shapes can have a list of joints, each joints. Then i can have a parameter based "base humanoid" that i can hook up to different walk/gait schedules

09:37 maiden so the simulator will have few features, but have a simple generic robot format so other types of robots can be supported as well.

10:06 anonnumberanon rue_mohr, setting the baud rate to 115200 sends 17 characters in 1 ms. This fits well within my 20 ms servo refresh loop. Implementing a diy method for much faster serial is not necessary yet compared to sequencing the robot movements. I am working on that right now. Will first make the robot stand then kneel then stand then kneel and make sure the sequence is fluid, then evalute whether or not this "by hand" method is suitable

16:35 akem since we got 3d printed robot, i was thinking about face mask, printing mold for rubber masks, and 3d desktop printers are limited in size like 15×15
16:37 akem but printing separated parts that will clips together, then 1 layer inside the mold to get rid of the seams, where the clipsed parts touch themselves
16:38 akem liquid something not sure what for the layer inside, then drop in rubber inside once dried

18:25 Loshki There were public toilets elsewhere in Rome. Army style rows of wooden seats, no partitions. This whole privacy thing is culture-specific, and fairly modern.
