00:04 codepython777 Jak_o_Shadows1: have you used quadrature encoders ever?
00:04 Jak_o_Shadows1 No, but I get the basic theory. I am sadly lacking in most uC programming though
00:04 codepython777 Jak_o_Shadows1: what sensor would wear out in rue_shop3 muscle?
00:05 Jak_o_Shadows1 er, I mean make sensors to physically wear on your body, so it mimics your movements
00:05 codepython777 Jak_o_Shadows1: they look pretty expensive. - quadrature encoders rotary
01:44 rue_bed Jak_o_Shadows1, yup
01:44 rue_bed I need force feedback tho
01:44 Jak_o_Shadows1 Cool.
01:44 rue_bed I'm pondering either twisted line or air muscles
01:44 rue_bed there are things to be worked out
02:02 rue_bed potentiometers
02:02 rue_bed cheap cheap
02:02 rue_bed 10 bits over 300 degrees
02:11 rue_bed arg, I lost my $40 cpuon for the auto wrecker I think, damnit
04:50 veverak deshipu: well
04:50 veverak deshipu: 3 balloons in a row with diameter of 1.2m
04:58 deshipu that's nice, helium or hydrogen?
04:58 deshipu or hot air?
05:03 veverak helium
05:03 veverak btu should be able to lift by electronics
05:07 deshipu we have a guy in Poznan who is building a blimp too
05:08 veverak carbon tubes + 3d printer parts based skeleton
05:08 veverak 4 motors that can be rotated via servo
05:16 deshipu shame you can't 3d print from carbon fiber :)
05:23 veverak yeah
05:23 veverak actually I can't even 3d print plastic
05:23 veverak ...
09:12 rue_house wow, having the isp's email server down for a day reduced the spam by loads
09:13 deshipu hmm, they probably remove the inactive addresses from their spam lists
09:13 deshipu good idea
09:14 rue_house my email address is 21 years old right now
09:17 rue_house hey, no hackaday
09:18 rue_house hey, nothing new from had in like 24 hours now
09:28 deshipu I never got any mails from hackaday :/
09:28 deshipu am I being discriminated against?
09:29 deshipu I demand equal spamming!
09:30 veverak reminds me of the guy
09:30 veverak that argued that his ping is too low and he wants higher!
09:39 codepython777 hi rue_house

14:52 SpeedEvil Not strictly on topic. Doin it doggystyle. (sfw)
19:30 rue_house hi
19:57 zhanx quite aint it
20:03 rue_house the 10m of woven tube fro making air muscles arrived today, need to try it out
20:04 zhanx there was a project on hackaday on printing 3d air muscles not sure if you saw it
20:07 rue_house my email collapsed and had unhooked
20:09 rue_house I cant find the article
21:10 rue_shop3 ok, my 25lb fishing line only takes 16lbs to break
21:11 rue_shop3 playing with fishing line muscles, not impressed
21:12 ace4016 is that the one where it's twisted and you apply heat?
21:14 ace4016 if so, it's probably because the "muscle" is preloaded due to the twisting
21:14 ace4016 probably about 9 lbs in this case :P
21:53 rue_shop3 apparently
21:53 rue_shop3 I origionally thought they were using a motor to twist it to get a screw like effect
