02:07 rue_house http://ruemohr.org/~ircjunk/projects/newpower/p1070140.jpg <-- makeing progress on my new power supply
02:10 Anniepoo 8cD I sort of expected to finally realize that the entire circuit was crossed out in little blocks, and all that was left was a battery
02:56 rue_shop3 this late night temporal distortion is working out for me, its taken 10 mins to do an hours worth of laundry
02:56 rue_shop3 and its not even 1am!
09:11 Vetaxili Hi all. I'm thinking of using occupancy grid map to let my agent know where the obstacles are. But because the idea is new to me I wonder - how do I "scale" the units from a map to units that the agent uses? E.g. An occupancy grid map would be a 20x20 matrix, but an agent uses cartesian coordinate system... how do I 'compare' agent's [0.03, 4.5] coordinate with the information on the map?
12:22 rue_bed give major landmarks the map to scale it to
12:28 rue_bed that or have the map contain a fixed-scale fake object
12:30 Tom_itx like sunshine coast road?
12:30 rue_bed heh
12:31 rue_bed so I got some progress on my powr supply last night
12:31 Tom_itx i finally got FLIP to work under win7
12:32 rue_bed there are a few issues, but I think they are related to the breadboad its made from
12:32 rue_bed I thought you were good with that stuff
12:32 Tom_itx did you know win7 still has that dos file transfer utility
12:32 rue_bed I'm not surprised
12:32 Tom_itx i was good with it but the driver didn't want to install
12:32 rue_bed part of the exe is prolly used in explorer and they cant get rid of it
12:32 Tom_itx i figured it out though
12:33 rue_bed or nobody wants to remove it because they dont know what it is
12:33 Tom_itx i scanned the directory and found a few useful tools i wasn't aware of
12:33 Tom_itx yeah the guy that wrote it is probably dead now
12:34 rue_bed too bad you didn't get dos doing a usb drive, I'd like to have known how
12:34 Tom_itx did you see that link?
12:34 Tom_itx it will do it...
12:34 rue_bed no
12:34 rue_bed for 6.22?
12:34 Tom_itx pretty sure
12:34 rue_bed there will be a way of doing it with a dll file from '95
12:35 Tom_itx this was 2 sys files
12:35 rue_bed k
12:35 rue_bed oh yea, sys files
12:36 Tom_itx http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1046069/yes-usb-drivers-dos
12:36 Tom_itx read that
12:36 Tom_itx it wouldn't matter for me though, i just remembered that pc doesn't have any usb ports
12:37 Tom_itx give it a try and let me know...
12:37 rue_bed wholy javascript batman
12:58 bindigoat Humanity has to implement certain strategies now to prevent humanities extinction. If certain strategies are not implemented now humanity will become extinct in the future, let us start to implement the right strategies now to prevent humanities extinction.

13:01 stoopkid bindigoat: there's so many other things that threaten our survival
13:01 stoopkid bindigoat: while that's certainly an issue, it's certainly not a comprehensive representation of our potential threats
13:07 anonnumberanon http://vocaroo.com/i/s0eoJ003wGs7
13:07 anonnumberanon I have a new voice.
13:10 bindigoat stoopkid, you got to look into it more
13:11 stoopkid bindigoat: i mean, i'm not doubting that it's a potential threat to humanity's survival, there's just other immediate concerns as well
19:35 Vetaxili I want to write a simulation that uses some sort of sensor that looks for obstacles from within a specified range/distance. How would that sort of sensor be called so that I know what to base the simulation on? Or when could I find already existing examples if possible?
19:40 sector_0 hey guys
19:40 sector_0 if have this little setup
19:40 sector_0 http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2z8b86g%3E&s=8#.VQ9bp-nd_3B
19:40 sector_0 and I'm trying to draw a straight line
19:41 sector_0 however, the line starts straight but ends up going a little curve
19:42 sector_0 I'm guessing I have to vary the speed of the circles as they turn instead of having a constant velocity like what I'm doing
19:43 sector_0 does anyone have any experience with this sort of stuff?
19:43 sector_0 I'm hoping to find some sort of equation for this

22:57 rue_shop3 hmmm ya know, I think I can print them for less...
23:49 rue_shop3 how does one store random lengths of heat shrink tubing in such a way to not make a bench of a mess
23:50 rue_shop3 er, mess of a bench
