09:31 Veverak nope, why?
09:31 rue_house <Veverak> like [0.4343, 6.433, 3.4343454677]
09:31 rue_house awefull lot of decimal places
09:31 Veverak yeah
09:32 Veverak that's why I talked about making it more sane :D
09:32 Veverak rue_house: script generated coords
09:32 rue_house %03d :)
09:32 rue_house or f I suppose
09:32 Veverak ??
09:33 rue_house no I'm still waking up
09:33 verak didn't ge
09:33 rue_house %.03f
09:33 rue_house is what you use in printf to limit the decimal places
09:33 rue_house cant remember how to in python
09:33 Veverak wow, didn't know
09:33 Veverak :D
09:33 Veverak round() :)
09:34 Veverak I thought that it's %[width]f only
09:35 rue_house you can do %0--- will fill any unused positions with zeros
09:35 rue_house %03.4f will be min 3 and max 4
09:35 rue_house er, before and after decimal place
09:37 Veverak I see
09:40 josef_ Hi, i bought i controller some time ago, and you had to solder on metal sticks where the holes where PC0 upwards and PD0 upwards. However my solder iron was to big, and i ended up buring the board. It was so hard so i quit. I am thinking of bying a smaler solder iron, and give it another try. Is there a possibility of the board being broken due to it being burned?
09:41 rue_house anyone know what the ram is on a mega2560 before I can look i tup
09:41 rue_house ?
09:42 rue_house 8k
09:42 rue_house 8k is the answer we were looking for
09:42 rue_house that explains the memory usage of the fat library
09:43 rue_house makes it almost unsuitable for a M328

13:09 deshipu got my pcbs from dirtypcbs \o/
13:09 deshipu assembled the first robot with one of them
13:09 Tom_itx were they dirty?
13:10 deshipu china
13:10 deshipu ah, no, not particularly
13:10 deshipu but yellow
13:11 Tom_itx yuck
13:11 deshipu will fit those yellow servos I have nicely
13:11 Tom_itx ahh
13:58 Veverak deshipu any pics? :D
13:58 Veverak or you gonna show it on devconf :)
14:53 deshipu Veverak: https://static.hackaday.io/images/4802021422557718712.jpg
14:53 deshipu Veverak: yes, I will take it to the conference
14:54 Veverak nice
14:54 Veverak this looks awesome man :)
14:56 Veverak noh, I understad your motivation for small robots
14:56 Veverak deshipu: what features it got?
14:56 Veverak I recognize IR port and arduino pro ?
15:00 deshipu Veverak: yeah, that's pretty much it, also a battery charger
15:00 Veverak nice
15:01 deshipu Veverak: I need to have a simple toy controlled with a tv remote to show off in conference halls
15:01 Veverak yeah, this looks like it :)
15:02 deshipu I could add a board with sensors on top of it -- kinda like a shield
15:02 deshipu hmm
15:02 Veverak yeah, I see
15:02 deshipu actually, since the arduino is on a socket, I could have several arduinos with different sensors attached to them, already programmed to use them, hmm...
15:03 Veverak :D :D
15:05 deshipu since the servos and battery are the most expensive parts
15:07 Veverak hmm
15:07 Veverak yeah, the more I look at your robot the more elegant it looks :)
15:17 deshipu Veverak: the charger is an adterthought, it should really go below the board
15:17 deshipu after*
15:18 deshipu battery probably too
15:18 verak is used to remove battery and connect it to charger which is exte
15:18 deshipu this one also has overdischarge protection
15:18 Veverak hmm
15:18 Veverak yeah, that's nice
19:03 rue_house what happened to the much smaller baord you scabbed togethor before?
19:09 deshipu rue_house: that doesn't work with those PicoBlade servo sockets
19:10 deshipu rue_house: also, it can't be used as a base
19:10 deshipu for attaching the legs
19:11 deshipu eh, every time I try it, I have this ridiculous expectation that I will get the leg IK right on the first try
19:11 rue_house heh
19:11 deshipu honestly, I should have learned by now that it's not realistic
19:11 rue_house do you have some 1cm grid paper to calibrate with?
19:12 deshipu nah, I'm at the "moves in the wrong direction" stage now
19:12 rue_house heh, ok
19:14 deshipu actually, scratch that, it's the "does something completely chaotic" stage
19:14 deshipu I think I will try again tomorrow
19:14 deshipu good night
22:03 rue_house did you calibrate all the directions and check the ranges?
22:03 rue_house did you make sure that the power dosn't dip out?
22:03 rue_house pls tell me your not TESTING it on battery
22:05 Jak_o_Shadows or a low current wall wart
