10:34 verak got blobs at the start of the
10:35 Veverak length: 5, lift z: 0.2, speed: 40, etxtra length: 0, min travel: 2,
10:35 Veverak wipe: true
10:35 Veverak I suppose that length is maybe too much for retraction settings?
10:56 deshipu got it to walk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1IEHUp6wlQ
10:56 deshipu ok, one robot left to finish untul the end of the month
11:11 GuShH_Lap rue_house: and you thought shorty was ... short... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/53110484/Visita_Manolo/foto1.jpg
11:11 GuShH_Lap that's a brake disc and drum lathe, that's all it is meant for.
16:16 wolfmanjm Veverak: turn off wipe
16:17 wolfmanjm see if that helps. also retract for non bowden is around 1 bowden is 5-7
16:17 wolfmanjm also zlift can cause blobs
17:28 GuShH rue_shop2: finally got most of the mill together, enough that I could do a test cut on a block of delrin, quite good so far but it needs adjustment everywhere
17:28 GuShH plus the bearings are just breaking in, so I don't want to overheat them
17:28 GuShH noticed they went to about 40°C or so for short runs, which is normal at first
17:29 GuShH next up some alum
19:26 rue_house cool!
19:28 Tom_itx what?
19:29 Tom_itx fired up the control for the first time today
19:30 Tom_itx tested the 3rd board that was in it when the catastrophe happened... it's good
19:34 rue_house cool
19:35 Tom_itx 2nd one seems to be ok too
19:35 Tom_itx after the re'chip
19:47 rue_house I should go work on the oven but I'm too tired and its not close enough to working
19:48 rue_house I have to rewrite the software for direct lcd connection and computer control with variable setpoints via serial
19:48 rue_house which is easy if I can keep myself awake
19:50 rue_house I dont knwo what project I used a shift register to hook up the lcd with
19:50 rue_house oh, multibot
19:51 rue_house k
19:52 Veverak wolfmanjm: will try
20:54 rue_house ?The problem with doing nothing is that you never know when you?re finished.? ?Groucho Marx
21:02 Tom_itx 'Fat Chance' and 'Slim Chance' have the same meaning. ?me
22:38 rue_house so I need to eat
22:38 rue_house make a weee pcb for the reflow oven
22:50 rue_house I suppose I could drag out the 3d printer and hook up the indicator leds I put on it
22:50 rue_house change the temp sensor
23:02 rue_house today I took a test and one of the questions was to read a resistor
23:03 rue_house as usual I got 5 and 6 mixed up, but it was multiple choice and it corrected me
23:11 rue_shop3 hmmm dead bug in a toaster oven?
23:41 Tom_itx wee PCB for what?
23:42 Tom_itx moving io around a bit
23:42 Tom_itx moving limit switches & spindle on to the sserial board
23:42 rue_shop3 for the temp sensor circuit
23:42 rue_shop3 I'm putting a local 5V reg in the oven
23:42 rue_shop3 so what comes out is voltage
23:42 Tom_itx i did too
23:43 Tom_itx used a walwart and wired a reg to it
23:43 Tom_itx but it doesn't look like a wallwart now
23:44 rue_shop3 I'v set up that the control box will feed 12V to it
23:44 rue_shop3 I'm using a db9 to connect the two
23:44 rue_shop3 maybe then I can move the controller to different ovens if I want
23:45 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/toaster_oven/control_mounted1.jpg
23:45 Tom_itx that wart actually isn't that bad... it's actually got a full bridge on it
23:45 rue_shop3 cool
23:46 rue_shop3 does it power the logic too?
23:46 Tom_itx it's wired to the oven timer as an on off switch
23:46 Tom_itx yes
23:46 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/toaster_oven/control_mounted2.jpg
23:47 rue_shop3 your got lots morespace
23:47 rue_shop3 hu
23:48 rue_shop3 ...
23:48 rue_shop3 I dont have an off switch...
23:48 rue_shop3 hmm
23:48 Tom_itx this is a neater install this time
23:49 Tom_itx moved a few wires around
23:49 rue_shop3 do show when ready
23:49 rue_shop3 I need to take pics of this oven
23:49 Tom_itx i could but i'm gettin tired
23:50 rue_shop3 oo
23:50 rue_shop3 hmm, I was gonna put two leds on the SSR inputs to know if they are on
23:51 rue_shop3 if I put them on the SSR outputs, I'll know if one is locked up
23:51 Tom_itx ok i took a couple
23:57 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/psu/5vreg.jpg
23:57 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/psu/7i90_1.jpg
23:57 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/psu/7I90_2.jpg
23:58 Tom_itx notice the right board has 2 more empty headers
23:58 Tom_itx the left board is the sserial board
23:58 Tom_itx the cat5 is the link to it
23:58 Tom_itx lower left of the board
23:58 Tom_itx 32in 16 out
23:59 Tom_itx now there is only ONE wire per screw
