03:12 rue_more <rue_more> fun fun fun
03:12 rue_more hate it whe I'm in the wrong channel
03:14 rue_more I missed my mouth, maybe I should call it a night... naaaaaa
03:35 rue_shop2 sorting the bulk screws is revealing a problem, I have a LOT of short M3
03:37 Rif finish your reprap with them
03:38 rue_shop2 dont need them for it :)
03:38 Rif what do you need?
03:50 Rif rue_shop2, did you see any of me multi colour stuffs?
03:52 rue_shop2 yes, most cool
04:42 rue_shop2 I collected enough transistors for a little more than 18 axies
04:45 rue_shop2 which means I have a little more than enough for 20 axies
04:46 rue_shop2 another 74 axies to go
04:46 rue_shop2 296 more transistors?
04:57 rue_more good news, only 47 axies
04:57 rue_more so I'm almost half way there
07:13 ez1 hi, someone with experience in robotstudio (from ABB)?
09:54 myofevilrobots stretches, ya
11:50 rue_more ez1, hmm I'd like to
12:43 robotustra_ who can explain me what is the tape which is usually glued to the table of 3D printers
12:44 robotustra_ and is it needed?
12:44 GargantuaSauce there are a lot of different options for bed adhesion
12:44 robotustra_ because sometimes I see that people print on glass
12:44 GargantuaSauce blue tape can allow you to print onto a cold bed
12:44 robotustra_ fh
12:44 GargantuaSauce some people use kapton
12:44 robotustra_ ah
12:45 robotustra_ ok
12:45 robotustra_ tape - no heat
12:45 GargantuaSauce but i think just heated glass is the most common
12:45 robotustra_ if heated - can use just a glass surfece?
12:45 GargantuaSauce yeah
12:45 GargantuaSauce another option is pva glue i think
12:45 robotustra_ ok
12:45 robotustra_ ok
12:45 GargantuaSauce or for abs, "abs juice" which is just abs and a solvent slurry
12:46 robotustra_ ok
12:46 GargantuaSauce are you going to be doing pla mostly?
12:46 robotustra_ ordered delta
12:46 robotustra_ I don't know yet
12:46 robotustra_ just spent 1000$ for kit
12:47 GargantuaSauce which one? seemecnc?
12:47 robotustra_ yes
12:47 GargantuaSauce cool
12:47 robotustra_ http://www.3dsupplyworld.com/rostock-max-v2-complete-kit/
12:48 GargantuaSauce fancy
12:48 robotustra_ it gives 50 microns layer
12:48 robotustra_ and the build area is huge
12:48 GargantuaSauce my filament supplier of choice is voxel factory which i believe is local to you, btw
12:48 robotustra_ 11" diameter and almost 15"
12:48 robotustra_ I will see
12:49 robotustra_ may be I'll buy own extruder
12:49 robotustra_ because it comes 10 times cheaper than order in internet
12:49 GargantuaSauce i am under the impression that it's very difficult to get good consistent filament
12:50 GargantuaSauce which is why it's still so expensive
12:50 robotustra_ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/833191773/filastruder-a-robust-inexpensive-filament-extruder
12:50 robotustra_ something like this
12:51 robotustra_ and I see that dust deposit on filament and should be cleaned also
12:51 GargantuaSauce should be easy to mount a sponge in front of the extruder or something
12:51 robotustra_ yep
12:52 robotustra_ 50 microns it's quite small
12:53 robotustra_ professional printers do 5 - 28 microns
12:55 robotustra_ it's written that this printer can print with any material with heated bed
12:55 robotustra_ it means that just some of them stick to cold surface?
12:56 GargantuaSauce some heated beds can't quite get hot enough for abs to stick properly
12:56 GargantuaSauce or the more atypical plastics, nylon, polycarbonate, etc
12:56 robotustra_ this one can heat up to 110 degree
12:56 GargantuaSauce yeah that should do
12:57 GargantuaSauce good luck, i look forward to seeing how this works out
12:57 robotustra_ :)
12:57 robotustra_ yep, let's see what is it a toy or something useful
12:58 robotustra_ in case it's not so fancy I can improve it
12:58 robotustra_ by milling more rigid parts
13:03 robotustra_ one of the first projects on this printer will be filament extruder :)
13:29 robotustra_ http://i.imgur.com/2scFpSd.gif
13:39 MrCurious test
13:41 GargantuaSauce your gratuitous empiricism is not appreciated
13:45 robotustra_ test passed
14:30 GargantuaSauce https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bn7swFHCEAAm1Mf.jpg:large
14:30 GargantuaSauce what a shitty heatsink
14:33 rue_shop2 sweet, sorting out the rest of the stuff from last night I have another 5 axies of transistors
14:34 rue_shop2 -5V eh? she must be legacy ;)
15:14 Hyratel rue_shop2, actually I don't think that means it's negative, see the P+?
15:15 Hyratel yeah, it's a positive reg
18:49 GuShh_Lap rue_more: did you read the news about the square "black hole" on the sun?
18:49 GuShh_Lap odd stuff
18:50 GuShh_Lap as per that milling setup, the bar was held on the toolpost, 18mm endmill (thought it was 16, anyway that's only relevant to the work size, I wanted a full pass to cover all the metal)
18:50 GuShh_Lap I'll get you a pic later.
18:51 GuShh_Lap "coronal hole"
19:25 robotustra_ last year it was bigger
19:25 GuShh_Lap that's what she said?
19:29 GuShh_Lap rue_more: here http://gushh.net/tmp/p_20140519_210612f.jpg
19:29 GuShh_Lap yes I know, that's not a collet.
19:31 GuShh_Lap I thought the ER32 to MT3 kits didn't go up to 16-18mm but they go up to 20mm
19:31 GuShh_Lap still, they're quite pricey... I won't buy a set until I've got a milling machine and then I'll figure out what to do, hopefully I won't have to use many adapters and just share one set across.
19:50 robotustra_ :)
23:40 rue_shop2 there!
23:40 rue_shop2 if the voltage on the 12V solar panels drops to less than 1.4V, the yard lights turn on!
23:40 rue_shop2 now I just have to wait for my yard to get dug up and put back togethor to install them
