00:09 katsmeow-afk once every 3 days??
00:10 katsmeow-afk heck, didn't it dump all the water ut 3 times per day?
00:10 rue_house no
00:10 rue_house I think it dumped like 2 or 3 times last year
00:10 katsmeow-afk oh
00:11 rue_house hehehe spreadsheet programs dont like 6 million line csv files
00:11 rue_house its occupying my processor
00:11 rue_house (1 or 3)
00:11 katsmeow-afk winblows doesn't like directories with millions of files either
00:15 rue_house typical temp rise is 10c
00:15 rue_house at 3.5gpm
00:16 rue_house 50F
00:18 rue_house 87500 btu/hr
00:19 rue_house flow(gpm) * (temp out(f) - temp in(f)) * 500
00:20 katsmeow-afk you got that off a website
00:20 rue_house is it wrong?
00:20 katsmeow-afk i dunno
00:21 rue_house Tc = (Tf-32) * (5/9)
00:21 rue_house Tc/(5/9) = Tf-32
00:21 rue_house Tc*(9/5) = Tf-32
00:21 rue_house (Tc*(9/5))+32 = Tf
00:22 rue_house Tf = (Tc*(9/5))+32
00:22 tsmeow-afk now uses a browser units convertor that's not on her website any
00:23 MrCurious katsmeow-afk: what is cheap to you?
00:23 MrCurious and... are you canadian or scottish?
00:24 rue_house (btu/hr) = flow(gpm) * (((Tout(c)*(9/5)+32) - ((Tin(c)*9/5)+32)) * 500
00:25 katsmeow-afk usa-ian
00:27 MrCurious then cheap should be < $100
00:30 rue_house whats cheap for a canadian?
00:31 rue_house MY COMPUTER TAKES MORE THAN 60 SECONDS TO PROCESS 1m LINES OF SPREADSHEET DATA, i'M MAD!
00:32 MrCurious about $0.10
00:32 MrCurious they are as cheap as scotsmen; put a penny between their teeth, and yo uwill never hear em speak again
00:33 rue_house hah, my cheap is somewhere just under $50,
00:34 rue_house depending what it is
00:37 rue_house the furnace is 62000 btu/hr
00:41 rue_house I bought an mp3 stereo from china for $32, I cant wait to see what its like
00:41 rue_house (car stereo)
00:42 orlok head unit?
00:42 katsmeow-afk what will you do, since you are unable to wait on it?
00:44 MrCurious rue llink?
00:44 katsmeow-afk rue more?
00:45 rue_house http://www.ebay.ca/itm/190914701679
00:45 rue_house will that ocme up?
00:45 katsmeow-afk http://www.ebay.com/itm/190914701679
00:46 MrCurious nice
00:46 katsmeow-afk how do you get the mp3 into it?
00:47 rue_house memory card
00:47 MrCurious or usb thumb drive
00:47 katsmeow-afk Current slinking: Maximum
00:48 katsmeow-afk FM output: 1200Mv
00:50 rue_house hehe
00:54 rue_house hmm I see a lot of 10000 and 20000, not many peaks higher
00:55 katsmeow-afk are you going to try and canel the win, and get it from someone else?
00:55 katsmeow-afk cancel
00:55 katsmeow-afk praps they can ship it by air if you ask
00:57 katsmeow-afk ...
01:05 rue_house hmm numbers are lower tan I thoguht, I see lots of peaks at 30k btu/hr some at 40k btu/hr and one at 50kbtu/hr
01:07 katsmeow-afk have you calculated the energy to run the water pumps?
01:08 rue_house lots les sthan generating the heat
01:09 katsmeow-afk but you are loosing more btu than the pumps use
01:09 rue_house ..?
01:09 katsmeow-afk in the plumbing to the house
01:10 katsmeow-afk one hp = 2545 btu
01:10 rue_house according to prefigures, I lose up to 12kbtu/hr to the house
01:10 rue_house but now I have a measure
01:10 katsmeow-afk yeas, you are loosing 6hp on the way tot he house
01:12 rue_house I havn't run the better numbers yet
01:12 katsmeow-afk do you realise you are losing 6x more heat to the plumbing than i use to heat 1150 sq ft of downstairs space?
01:12 rue_house do yo urealize that any heat I put in the ouse leaks out the wals right away?
01:13 katsmeow-afk heck, it's is common for me to have the *air conditioner* on to *cool* this space when it's 40F outside!!
01:14 katsmeow-afk rip the interior walls off the studs, furr out the walls to 8 - 10 inches, have the walls foamed
01:14 rue_house no kat, its not worth it
01:14 katsmeow-afk fill the attic with cheap blow-in shredded anything
01:14 rue_house not worth it
01:14 katsmeow-afk ok
01:14 rue_house I could easily spend way way more than it would cost to buy a new house
01:15 katsmeow-afk i doubt that
01:15 rue_house yea
01:15 rue_house aluminum wiring
01:15 katsmeow-afk i am not rich, and i built this place
01:15 rue_house cheap heat is my solution
01:16 katsmeow-afk then rip out that water pipe to the house, and lay in a return and a feed, each 8" dia pvc or abs with pour in closed cell foamaround a centered 3/4 cpvc pipe
01:17 katsmeow-afk 4" foam is only R12, you'll still leak heat like a screen door, but it beats what you have now
01:17 rue_house its in 3" pvc
01:17 katsmeow-afk i know
01:17 rue_house I put two runs to the fireshed when the excavator was here
01:18 katsmeow-afk you have a measely inch of insulation on the pipe, at best
01:18 katsmeow-afk winter is freesing the ground, and youa re heating it
01:18 rue_house but they flood, I been thinking of changing it somehow
01:19 katsmeow-afk the shell hasto be watertight, like a well casing
01:19 rue_house I'm gonna calc the house power tommorow, I think
01:21 rue_house Lola8088, goodnight
01:24 katsmeow-afk rue, how much pressure can your heat exchanger take on the houseloop side?
01:26 MrCurious as expected, my atom boxes shutdown at 11pm
01:27 katsmeow-afk my thoughts are: you might save 90% of your existing losses into the ground if you: use 1/4 cpvc in the 3", held exactly centered, and insulated with closed cell pour or spray foam, then put the houseloop pump IN the house, suck (with vac breaker) from the furnace coil, push hi pressure out to the boiler exchanger and back to/into the house furnace
01:29 katsmeow-afk you gain the 1/2 hp of electrical heat, that pump cannot freeze up inside (hopefully), and the water will transit the pipe to/from 4x faster compared to 3/4 pipe
01:29 katsmeow-afk for the same volume, it hasto move faster in the smaller pipe
01:30 katsmeow-afk hence the pressure question
01:30 katsmeow-afk and of course, insulate and stop air from moving anywhere you can
01:32 katsmeow-afk the recycler place here has a storage shed as a office, with an inch of bad insulation in it, out in the sun, with hole you can see in and out thru the walls, roof, and floor, and they wonder why it's expensive to heat and cool it
01:32 katsmeow-afk and they do nothing to improve it
01:33 orlok i showed off these didnt i? http://www.crypt.net.au/Millie/
01:35 katsmeow-afk you showed some Millie pics last week, i commented on her eyes
01:46 orlok fuck, havent changed the oil or checked water in the outback for 2 years
01:50 orlok Poor bub is sick, must have picked it up from preschool
02:17 katsmeow-afk anyone need 74ABT16244 ?
02:18 katsmeow-afk how about for 1.75 cents each ?
09:33 rue_house still dont have any use for buffers
10:04 uehuehue Bufers?
10:04 uehuehue *buffers?
10:14 GuShH uehuehue: katsmeow-afk offered 74ABT16244... those are 16 bit buffers
10:15 GuShH uehuehue: ie. drivers for outout handling
10:15 uehuehue Ah ok
10:15 GuShH are you an arduinian?
10:15 uehuehue Arduinian?
10:15 GuShH arduino user
10:15 uehuehue Ah, yeah
10:15 GuShH no wonder you didn't know :p
10:15 ShH h
10:16 uehuehue :P
10:16 GuShH let's hope this macchiato will wake me up
10:17 GuShH work aside, I have to pretty much empty the garage so I can locate the lathe
10:17 GuShH then rearrange everything
10:21 uehuehue What do you make with your lathe?
10:21 uehuehue Ever tried making guns? :O
10:21 uehuehue hhehheheh
10:23 GuShH uehuehue: you almost hit the common lathe cliche
10:23 GuShH ie. "are you going to make silencers?"
10:24 uehuehue ah
10:24 GuShH I promised I would hit the next person to ask me, but you are probably way too far away
10:24 GuShH No, I'm not going to turn firearms, plus the lathe is the least of your concerns when it comes to firearm manufacturing
10:25 GuShH uehuehue: not everything has to be destructive and if I wanted a shady gun I could just buy it from someone... I have a few projects in mind which require a lathe, that's all.
10:25 uehuehue I was joking
10:25 uehuehue :)
10:25 GuShH I would however turn a silencer for an air rifle, that's entirely legal.
10:25 GuShH and yes high power air rifles are noisy.
10:26 uehuehue You would probably find it cheaper to buy one than make it from raw materials anyway
10:26 GuShH specially if they're dieseling
10:26 GuShH uehuehue: obviously
10:26 GuShH then again, if you were to buy an unmarked gun... you must have a pretty obscure reason to do that
10:27 GuShH also imagine getting caught with said firearm. even if you didn't fire it once, it's still illegal to own it.
10:27 uehuehue Yeah
10:27 uehuehue You in the US?
10:27 GuShH and the biggest concern I would have, is how dirty that gun really is.
10:28 GuShH No, not in the US...
10:28 GuShH Why?
10:28 uehuehue Just wondering
10:28 uehuehue Making conversation & whatnot
10:28 GuShH I could walk to the nearest walmart and pick up a couple guns, a cart full of ammo and an icecream on my way out if I were in the US.
10:28 uehuehue hhehehe
10:29 GuShH Argentina is starting to look like Brasil, in the sense that firearms are frowned upon
10:29 uehuehue Many countries frown upon guns
10:29 GuShH Idiots will always associate guns with crime
10:29 uehuehue Not sure where I stand on that issue
10:29 GuShH To me they're a hobby
10:29 uehuehue In some ways I'd like the freedom, but then I also know that there are real idiots out there
10:29 uehuehue Hard to make up my mind on that
10:29 GuShH You can kill someone with your bare hands, or just about anything.
10:30 uehuehue My country has many many gun owners
10:30 uehuehue Not too many shootings
10:30 GuShH What country would that be?
10:30 GuShH Crooks will always have guns
10:30 GuShH whether they're legal or not.
10:30 uehuehue it isn't that "guns can kill", it's that when guns kill you have piles of bodies. Not the same with knives/etc
10:30 uehuehue I am from Finland
10:30 uehuehue We have many guns
10:32 GuShH uehuehue: piles of bodies?
10:32 GuShH Not always
10:33 GuShH And you can have piles of bodies with knives too.
10:33 zap0 and plague
10:33 uehuehue Yeah, a semi-auto rifle/pistol can kill many people very fast. Imagine shooting into a crowd/etc
10:33 GuShH Again, it's all about the education, not the firearms.
10:33 uehuehue Knives are easier to run from or "block"
10:33 GuShH uehuehue: I would question why that person needed a semi auto, or full auto (if available) to begin with
10:33 uehuehue Most guns are semi-auto.
10:33 GuShH uehuehue: not if someone is keeping you at gun point, while someone else stabs you
10:34 uehuehue If you're only talking about bolt action, then they are usually fine
10:34 GuShH uehuehue: Yes, but you are thinking converted / limited submachine guns and such
10:34 uehuehue No, I mean a semi-auto rifle (imagine for hunting), and anything more
10:34 GuShH uehuehue: you can pile up bodies with a mauser rifle ...
10:34 GuShH In fact if you are well hidden, you can shoot for hours.
10:34 GuShH Well, why would anyone in the US require a 50 caliber rifle?
10:35 GuShH Other than, for fun.
10:35 uehuehue Why would you buy a .50?
10:35 GuShH And as far as I'm concerned, there have been no "robberies" involving a single one of them
10:35 zap0 hunting? what are you, a neadethel?
10:35 GuShH uehuehue: If I could legally own one, and if I could afford it and if I had a shooting range that would allow for one, I would have a 50 cal rifle.
10:35 hueh
10:35 GuShH For fun.
10:35 uehuehue I see
10:36 uehuehue I wouldn't mind owning a 1911 or AK
10:36 GuShH Why would you need an AK?
10:36 uehuehue For fun
10:36 GuShH and which one of the many incarnations...
10:36 GuShH Well, see?
10:36 uehuehue I think AK is a historical gun
10:36 GuShH But most people think you don't need one.
10:36 GuShH I would love to have all the WW2 guns..
10:37 GuShH But most of them are not for civilian use around here.
10:37 GuShH In fact just about anything over 22 is considered "conditional civilian use" without going into big calibers of course, those are not even allowed.
10:38 uehuehue right, but you also have to weigh the pros and cons of allowing people (most of the time with unknown mental states) from owning guns. As it stands, I currently think it's a good thing that my country doesn't have the same gun culture as the US
10:39 uehuehue Guns are fun, but I only trust myself with them.
10:40 uehuehue iirc there was a shooting in the us this week
10:40 uehuehue let me check
10:43 uehuehue Sept. 16 http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/09/16/20522196-gunman-kills-at-least-12-at-washington-navy-yard-gathering-weapons-along-the-way?lite
10:44 uehuehue Not this week, but recent enough
10:44 GuShH uehuehue: err
10:44 GuShH mental states...
10:44 GuShH Ok how about vehicles to begin with
10:44 GuShH Most accidents are caused by dipshits who don't even know the basics
10:44 GuShH May I remind you a vehicle is a deadly weapon.
10:45 uehuehue Right, it should be harder to get a license.
10:45 uehuehue I know "guns don't kill, people do", but the damage you can do with a semi-auto compared to a car is huge.
10:45 GuShH I don't know if harder, it should be so clueless dipshits don't end up behind a wheel, that's all.
10:45 GuShH I don't know...
10:45 GuShH You can drive a hummer (why the fuck would you need a hummer anyway) into a shopping mall
10:46 GuShH kill many, many people. Cost millions in destruction.
10:46 GuShH That's one truck that screams "my dick is too short to please anyone, including my hand"
10:47 uehuehue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NMnnMRWJ-0
10:47 uehuehue :D
10:47 GuShH damn russians
10:47 GuShH they've got some of our activists in jail right now
10:47 GuShH took them out of international waters and dragged them to russia
10:47 uehuehue You seen that in full?
10:48 GuShH modern warfare? I don't play that many games
10:48 uehuehue I mean that video I sent
10:48 GuShH I could see why some parents would disagree with that particular game though.
10:48 GuShH Yeah...
10:48 GuShH uehuehue: This happened not too long ago in a mall right?
10:49 uehuehue A car would do maybe 0.01% of the damage that four guys with semi-autos could do
10:49 GuShH I forgot the country...
10:49 uehuehue Yeah I think in africa somewhere
10:49 GuShH uehuehue: I disagree
10:49 GuShH I could drive into the line of an apple store, while all the hipsters are waiting for the new iphone
10:49 uehuehue There is no way a car would guarantee that every one of them die
10:49 uehuehue People would also jump out of the way
10:50 GuShH assuming you hit them sideways, you can try again until your radiator goes
10:50 GuShH uehuehue: they're hipsters, in trance.
10:50 GuShH they wouldn't see you coming
10:50 hueh
10:50 GuShH uehuehue: I would rather get them seriously injured than killed
10:50 GuShH that way they will suffer in life for being apple fanboys!
10:51 ShH <evil laugh
10:51 GuShH airplanes are considered transportation vehicles, right? so if you hijacked one, you could potentially kill more people than with any semi auto gun, and way faster too.
10:51 GuShH also, hi NSA what's up, not into allah -- Just passing time.
10:52 hueh
10:52 GuShH must play modern warfare 2 now
10:52 uehuehue You ever played it?
10:53 uehuehue I like the MW campaign story
10:53 GuShH no, I don't play many games at all.
10:53 GuShH seems old
10:53 uehuehue MW2 ending is pretty good.
10:53 GuShH 2009?
10:54 uehuehue Something like that, yeah
10:54 GuShH is the 3 any good
10:54 uehuehue Its good, but I think they tried a little too hard on that one.
10:54 GuShH And are they still using the quake engine underneath...
10:54 uehuehue lel no?
10:54 GuShH up until cod3 they still were
10:54 uehuehue sec let me check wiki
10:54 GuShH it was q3 with a few updates
10:55 uehuehue MW2 uses IW 4.0
10:55 GuShH some games are continued by other developers anyway
10:55 GuShH looks like 2004 for being 2009...
10:57 uehuehue Anyway I'm off
10:57 uehuehue cya
10:57 ShH sh

22:51 katsmeow-afk "In 1997, Philip Kennedy, a scientist and physician designed the world's first human cyborg named Johnny Ray." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyborg
22:52 katsmeow-afk In 2002, under the heading Project Cyborg, a British scientist, Kevin Warwick, had an array of 100 electrodes fired into his nervous system in order to link his nervous system into the Internet. With this in place he successfully carried out a series of experiments including extending his nervous system over the Internet
22:52 katsmeow-afk to control a robotic hand, a loudspeaker and amplifier. This is a form of extended sensory input and the first direct electronic communication between the nervous systems of two humans.
22:53 katsmeow-afk In 2004, under the heading Bridging the Island of the Colourblind Project, a British and completely color-blind artist, Neil Harbisson, started wearing an eyeborg on his head in order to hear colors
22:53 katsmeow-afk In 2012 at TEDGlobal,[20] Harbisson explained that he did not feel like a cyborg when he started to use the eyeborg, he started to feel like a cyborg when he noticed that the software and his brain had united and given him an extra sense.
