02:00 GuShH oh shit
02:02 katsmeow-afk all of us at once?
02:04 GuShH katsmeow-afk: I adopted a cat a few months ago, shop cat... problem, she got preggo ... latest news is she got 7 kittens
02:04 GuShH my god now I have more cats than MrCurious, this is all wrong. I need to find them a home the moment they can eat solids!
02:04 GuShH and take his advice, no naming them.
02:06 katsmeow-afk 7 is a *lot*
02:06 GuShH kinda cute though how yesterday the "father" met the "mother" for a few minutes, then she came back to the garage and a few hours later began labor...
02:06 GuShH she could've had 8
02:06 katsmeow-afk she may drag 1 or 2 out to die
02:06 GuShH now that she lives inside maybe there won't be any motivation to do that
02:06 GuShH unless they're very weak
02:06 tsmeow-afk
02:07 GuShH in which case it's normal ... can't do anything about that.
02:07 katsmeow-afk whatever you do, don't train them to get underfoot, because then they'll never unlearn it
02:08 GuShH heh
02:08 GuShH how long until they can eat solids? 4 weeks?
02:09 GuShH I forgot all that
02:09 GuShH I had to take care of a week old kitten a few years ago, feeding her with a plastic syringe and formula... she's the most annoying cat now, always full of energy and willing to annoy me at 4AM
02:09 GuShH (which is what happened right now, she woke me up and it's almost 4AM)
02:10 katsmeow-afk depends on the definition of "solids" , canned soft or water-moist-hard food they'll *sniff* as soon as they see mom eating
02:10 GuShH now she's staring at me across the room
02:11 GuShH she was left behind by her mother due to my brother's dog getting in the way, the dog however kept barking but never attacked the kitten... I found her and had to take her in
02:11 katsmeow-afk you seem to have an odd preoccupation with tapping your claws until the colored lights change position to a formmore pleasing to you
02:11 GuShH now this is the fun bit, the dog and the cat are friends... as is the new cat I took in
02:12 GuShH I guess dogs and cats can be as evil and useless as their owners
02:12 GuShH or the other way around.
02:12 katsmeow-afk yeas
02:13 hackkitten :D
02:13 GuShH sweet dog, never showed me any signs of aggression, I can remove it's food and he would just stare at me, big one too.
02:13 hackkitten puppy eyes~
02:13 GuShH then again I also rescued it since he was a little puppy... well, my brother did allegedly, but I had to take care of it
02:13 GuShH asshole
02:14 katsmeow-afk first time a animal growels at me while i am at it's food bowl, is the last time i put food into it
02:15 GuShH I knew what was going to happen so I had to adopt the little thing. Couldn't take his mom home though, the neighbours claimed ownership even though they never fed her
02:15 GuShH seen that dog eat from the trash one too many times, so I was also feeding her
02:15 GuShH some people are fuckwits.
02:15 GuShH if you don't love it, or can't have it, give it away to someone who will, at least.
02:16 GuShH bah
02:16 ShH walks
02:16 tsmeow-afk ag
02:16 GuShH hackkitten: mew mew mew mew mew mew mew mew mew mew
02:16 GuShH I think they'll turn me insane in no time.
02:17 GuShH Rather, more than I already am.
02:19 ShH realizes the number 7 is everywhere in his
02:19 tsmeow-afk admires the curves on that LM1084IT-ADJ <<== no 7 t
02:19 GuShH but it's in YOUR life not mine!
02:19 hackkitten mew mew, GuShH :3
02:19 GuShH there are three 7s in my birthday, to begin with
02:19 hackkitten we had piles of kittens on the farm each year
02:19 hackkitten was fun :3
02:20 GuShH what did you do with them?
02:20 katsmeow-afk <1v dropout at 1amp, 1.2v at 4amp
02:22 katsmeow-afk hmm, transient responce to 5amp load change sucks
02:28 katsmeow-afk well, LM7800 can't even do 5 amps <shrug>
02:28 katsmeow-afk i should put groceries away,, in the freezer, etc, bbiaf
02:36 tsmeow-afk takes all the pins out of the bike chain and replaces them with univer
02:49 GargantuaSauce http://i.imgur.com/3rCq4nZ.jpg attn katsmeow-afk
02:50 katsmeow-afk a 36-o-copter controller?
02:51 GargantuaSauce totally
02:52 katsmeow-afk how many boards are really there?
02:52 katsmeow-afk are you selling copters? or the brains for them?
02:52 GargantuaSauce [04:26:11] <dongs> i got liek 1500 pink blank boards
02:53 GargantuaSauce not mine
02:53 GargantuaSauce just retweeting
02:53 katsmeow-afk uh oh, they are gonna laugh at you forever
02:53 katsmeow-afk oh,, ok, laugh at dongs ..... <cough>
02:54 katsmeow-afk so........... whee do we see the copter and so forth?
02:54 GargantuaSauce it's just a controller
02:55 katsmeow-afk yeas,, but it isn't fine tuned to a particular size frame, weight, battery power, etc?
02:56 GargantuaSauce no it runs open sauce and has a serial interface for tuning
02:56 tsmeow-afk doesn't know the right question, the right words, and therefor doesn't have
02:57 GargantuaSauce i am just trying to be empowering here! that dude ordered 1500 pink boards and they are gonna sell like hotcakes
02:57 katsmeow-afk i am astonished,, you know what happened when i used pink
02:58 GargantuaSauce you ran into some moron in a machine shop
02:58 tsmeow-afk built this house to launch 20ft fixed wing uav out over the va
02:58 katsmeow-afk no, it was in this channel
02:58 GargantuaSauce even better
02:59 katsmeow-afk http://www.timeanddate.com/scripts/sunmap.php
03:07 GuShH GargantuaSauce: you should totally order 1500 pink boards too then
03:07 katsmeow-afk GargantuaSauce , it is an impressive pic, thanks
03:08 GuShH then sell them for $1 as coasters near the local pub.
03:08 GargantuaSauce if i had something worth making 1500 of, perhaps i would
03:08 katsmeow-afk for a buck, they might sell, might take years tho
03:08 GuShH unless you bend over and sell them to sparkfun for 50c
03:09 GuShH they'll sell them for 10 bucks
03:09 GuShH GargantuaSauce: two words for the pink fagget: impulse and greed
03:10 tsmeow-afk sooo much wants to make a non-cpu,, a decentralised (on 2 levels) comp
03:11 katsmeow-afk reconfigurable
03:11 GuShH as it turns out with all the work involved in the placement of components, soldering whether you've got an oven or not you may have to do some manual touch ups anyway, testing, etc. he's not really making much money for his time, sorry.
03:11 GuShH he enslaved himself to a small project
03:12 GuShH may sound good on paper, in reality he's just a slave of his own greed
03:12 GargantuaSauce pick&place
03:12 GuShH not everyone has that capability
03:12 GuShH and the setup takes time anyway
03:12 GargantuaSauce man you're judgemental for someone that knows dickall about the circumstances
03:13 katsmeow-afk some pcb fab houses will pick-n-place for a small fee, and power-on test for a fee
03:13 GuShH you are hilarious
03:13 GuShH katsmeow-afk: he clearly didn't go for that.
03:13 tsmeow-afk walks over and stares at the wall while you two have a pissng con
03:13 GuShH the only way you'll be making some profit is to outsource everything to china these days
03:14 GuShH GargantuaSauce: the circumstances are he's a greedy boy and he bought himself a pink wall.
03:15 GuShH do you know how much work goes into flowing all those boards, even with p&p and an automated oven
03:16 GuShH I bet you imagined the RepRap to be a magical object that would print you anything you thought of, it's not like that. It's more of a baby with special needs.
03:17 GuShH as are most homebrew tools.
03:18 GuShH katsmeow-afk: it's just silly, instead of boasting other's work just go and do your own stuff, quit staring.
03:19 katsmeow-afk errr, don't i build things?
03:19 GuShH not everything is what it seems, is the point.
03:19 GuShH I'm talking about GargantuaSauce...
03:19 katsmeow-afk oh
03:20 GuShH So where's RifRaf?
03:21 theBear probly still at work
03:21 GuShH oh it's like 4PM over there or so
03:21 theBear yup
03:21 theBear oh wait
03:21 GuShH 5AM here
03:22 theBear he's in the future
03:22 theBear it's 6
03:22 GuShH daum!
03:22 katsmeow-afk is 3 am here
03:22 katsmeow-afk am 3 is here ?
03:22 GuShH Maybe our clocks are just out of wack
03:22 theBear obviously, they all say different times
03:23 GuShH Everyone should use GCT
03:23 katsmeow-afk GCT ?
03:23 GuShH It's my own self centered solution, gushh's central time.
03:24 katsmeow-afk ah, i was thinking Galapagos Conservation Trust
03:24 GuShH Is that a thing?
03:24 GuShH Never been to the islands..
03:24 theBear everyone loves turtles
03:24 GuShH Dragons!
03:24 GuShH Oh? only turtles?
03:24 GuShH No trust then, burn it down.
03:25 katsmeow-afk lizards
03:25 GuShH I recall having to study the galapagos, but it was a long time ago.
03:25 ShH thinks most of what they make you study is not applicable in real
03:25 GuShH specially if you can't remember!
03:26 GuShH katsmeow-afk: I'm not sure you'll find everything you're looking for on those regulators
03:26 GuShH they're general purpose
03:26 GuShH linear has some nifty ones, at a cost. with great transient responses in general.
03:26 katsmeow-afk any good engineer could build better ones
03:27 GuShH if they have the time
03:27 GuShH how old is that part anyway
03:27 katsmeow-afk but they are cheap, in a small package, and available
03:27 katsmeow-afk dunno, 2005, i think
03:27 katsmeow-afk it's based on a 1970's part
03:27 GuShH lol
03:28 tsmeow-afk would use a IRFZ44, a TL431, and an opamp, pr
03:29 GuShH which opamp?
03:29 katsmeow-afk the ones i got qty 1000 of for 99 cents, of course
03:29 GuShH better not be lm358
03:29 ShH chuc
03:30 katsmeow-afk no, MC34072,, iirc
03:30 katsmeow-afk got qty60 600Mhz ones for free
03:30 GuShH yey, what's the intended application?
03:31 GuShH I've never used any of my high bandwidth opamps
03:31 katsmeow-afk video driver
03:31 katsmeow-afk i'll put them in a oscope circuit when i get the plugin frames finished
03:32 GuShH any tips on deburring sheet metal?, my deburrer is tiny, I had to make one... but it's not ideal
03:33 katsmeow-afk for drilled holes or what?
03:33 GuShH cuts
03:33 GuShH I'm almost done deburring, but it's been annoying.
03:33 katsmeow-afk sanding disc in a "body grinder" is real fast
03:33 GuShH for drilled holes I either use a backing plate and a big bit or a small stone, which of course gets chewed up, but they're cheap.
03:34 katsmeow-afk lite touch, keep it moving pretty fast
03:34 GuShH they're big-ish cuts though
03:34 katsmeow-afk even 36 grit is small enough
03:34 GuShH I've been using a tempered chunk of steel, with an edge ground on it so I could slide it across and cut the burrs
03:34 GuShH couldn't really find any tools at the store that would do that
03:35 katsmeow-afk move about a foot per sec with 36 grip, it will take down the burr from using your straighedge
03:35 GuShH there's a scissors type one that I've seen only once, didn't buy the thing, now it's not available.
03:35 katsmeow-afk err, grit, not grip
03:35 GuShH that's coarse
03:35 GuShH are you sure we need the speed? heh
03:35 ShH points out it's not a production
03:35 katsmeow-afk yeas, but figure how fast it's spinning
03:36 katsmeow-afk 36 grit is cheap in bulk, and lasts a long time unless you bear down on it
03:36 katsmeow-afk sanding paper disc, not grinding disc
03:36 katsmeow-afk it wil actually cut burrs off faster than a grinding wheel
03:37 GuShH http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/info_XC346_.html that's what I need
03:37 katsmeow-afk don't let the edge of the paper dig in tho!
03:37 GuShH what's with all the jewelry
03:37 katsmeow-afk that's too much work
03:38 GuShH that's more or less what I've been doing
03:38 GuShH it's a one off.
03:38 GuShH how do they work, 90° edge from the wheels in contact cut through?
03:38 katsmeow-afk i keep 4 grinders, loaded with : cutting disc, grinding disc, sanding disc, wire brush
03:38 GuShH I need an extra one for wire brush and polishing wheel
03:39 GuShH should've bought them when they were on sale, only got one
03:39 katsmeow-afk if i didn't need to be usiing those, i wouldn't have them, i'd have other tools, like http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/info_XC346_.html
03:39 GuShH of course you mean angle grinder and I mean bench grinder
03:39 katsmeow-afk yeas, i mean handheld
03:39 GuShH that's what I posted
03:39 katsmeow-afk yeas, you did
03:39 GuShH seen an electric deburring tool on another site... must be expensive
03:40 GuShH just slide the edge against it, done.
03:40 GuShH probably works with two small flapper / sandpaper wheels
03:40 theBear what, like a tiny electric plane ?
03:40 GuShH You lost me
03:40 GuShH I need an hss countersink deburring set...
03:41 katsmeow-afk electric board planer?
03:41 GuShH so far I've been using the drill bit "trick" instead, but it's slow compared.
03:41 GuShH just a deburrer, for edges.
03:41 GuShH http://www.directindustry.com/prod/assfalg-gmbh/deburring-machines-sheet-metal-64853-429993.html
03:41 GuShH slide against the fence (underneath) and presto
03:42 theBear well, electric plane, they're not just for boards... BASICALLY like a regular jack plane but with a spinning multi-blade cylinder instead of a blade
03:42 tsmeow-afk will keep using her sanding process, cause it's bloody fast, cheap, and works on all the steel and aluminum so
03:42 GuShH look at how many there are, even for chamfering
03:42 GuShH theBear: every plane I know of is for wood though
03:42 GuShH is the brand of the deburring machines really ASSFALG ?
03:43 tsmeow-afk averts her
03:43 GuShH theBear: maybe "surface grinding machine"
03:43 theBear GuShH, yeah, i just trying to picture what this electric deburrer is
03:43 theBear conceptuallly
03:43 GuShH click on my last link, they're there.
03:43 theBear mmm got it, weird thing
03:43 GuShH never seen one, probably never will.
03:44 GuShH I guess if you are into production and your cutting process leaves burrs, it's a good way of dealing with them
03:44 ShH of course would invest on a cnc plasma cutter if he c
03:45 tsmeow-afk hangs a cutter on her 34ft x 18ft xy x 10ft z bridge crane
03:45 GuShH cute http://www.directindustry.com/prod/assfalg-gmbh/deburring-machines-sheet-metal-64853-429993.html#product-item_471824
03:46 GuShH "Exact chamfer adjustment by micrometer"
03:47 theBear wow, that's some weird looking err, head
03:47 GuShH a bit expensive for what they are... http://www.amazon.com/Noga-DB1000-Sheet-Metal-Deburring/dp/B0007Q1RS6
03:47 GuShH but maybe it's just the cheap in me
03:47 tsmeow-afk sighs at G
03:47 GuShH what
03:48 GuShH katsmeow-afk: I did hear your suggestions
03:48 GuShH but I was looking for something that didn't require power and wasn't noisy as heck
03:48 GuShH plus I don't want to alter the edge, just remove burrs.
03:48 katsmeow-afk [03:03] <GuShH> katsmeow-afk: it's just silly, instead of boasting other's work just go and do your own stuff, quit staring.
03:48 GuShH katsmeow-afk: I'm not staring at other's work
03:48 GuShH I'm staring at tools, on a store.
03:48 GuShH And thinking it's not worth 20 bucks for what it is.
03:48 GuShH Also I can't do anything right now it's too early
03:49 theBear you'd think there was some handtool, you can get ones for wood and tile and those burr-hole-cutters for metal, you'd think they'd have some nice little thing you can just run down the edge and be done
03:49 GuShH Might have to relocate the kittens and the mom somewhere else
03:49 GuShH the garage ain't safe when I'm around
03:49 GuShH theBear: they do, but they're mostly for small parts
03:49 GuShH disposable deburring tool
03:50 theBear disposable ? i don't like the sound of that
03:50 GuShH it has a curvy blade and a crappy handle
03:50 theBear oh, that sounds like those , wait, i think they WERE supposed to be deburrers, not hole-shape changers
03:50 GuShH it's oriented toward machining operations mostly
03:50 GuShH oh those are countersink deburrers or something like it
03:50 GuShH katsmeow-afk should know
03:50 katsmeow-afk $13 : http://www.harborfreight.com/angle-grinder-4-12-69645.html
03:50 theBear you'd think there'd be something a bit like a little block plane with a serious blade in it, maybe a center-guide on the bed
03:51 GuShH like I said, I'm cheap.. I get away with big drill bits and a backing plate
03:51 GuShH katsmeow-afk: 50 dollars here
03:51 katsmeow-afk $22 : http://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-4-1-2-half-inch-angle-grinder-91223.html
03:51 GuShH I have an angle grinder, I bought a medium range one instead of two crappy ones
03:52 GuShH after handling one of the cheapies I wasn't going to risk my safety over a few bucks
03:52 GuShH that's not heavy duty...
03:52 katsmeow-afk i had a pricey Milwaulkie, it lasted 10 yrs, i think, then changed over to keeping 4 $20 at the ready , and in the last 15 yrs lost only one of them
03:52 GuShH anything that spins fast and is close to your limbs should be of relative good quality
03:53 GuShH maybe you get the ones that are sorted through and are "good enough"
03:53 katsmeow-afk i've replaced brushes on them all, but they keep on spinning
03:53 katsmeow-afk changed power cords on most of them too
03:53 GuShH they sell them around here as well, but I've seen all sorts of defects and they just feel flimsy
03:53 GuShH mine required a new bearing, that's all.
03:53 GuShH after two years of almost daily use
03:53 katsmeow-afk yeas, make sure they have grease, and the screws are tight, before powering them up
03:54 GuShH it was still functional, I'm pedantic about bearings.
03:54 GuShH Don't want to ask for trouble but I've never had a wheel snap on me
03:54 katsmeow-afk i figure by the time a bearing goes, keeping in mind i spread the work over 4 grinders, the model has changed, the bearing is no longer available
03:54 GuShH Is it common for them to break apart these days?
03:54 GuShH there's a fibreglass mesh inside, but who knows
03:54 theBear not really
03:55 theBear maybe the supercheap noname ones
03:55 GuShH I buy dewalt, makita or some other one I forgot
03:55 katsmeow-afk when the Milwaulkie went, no parts available, when the Rockwell went, no parst agail, when the B&D went, no parts available, etc etc etc
03:55 GuShH they cost about the same really
03:55 theBear a couple exploded at my little bros work over the years, seems they don't have enough mass to cause much damage even a few feet away (one guy got hit in the balls from about 15' and was 'ok')
03:55 GuShH katsmeow-afk: bearing is standard
03:55 GuShH maybe the bushings aren't
03:55 GuShH but you can make those
03:56 GuShH mine has a ball bearing and a bushing
03:56 katsmeow-afk i have a dewalt cordless, all the batteries are dead, i don't use it, i use the $15 cordless with wire to a 24v psu
03:56 GuShH 6000z I think
03:56 GuShH or 6001z
03:56 katsmeow-afk yeas, i had a circ saw, bushing went after a month, i spent a day on it and installed a ball bearing, it lasted me years after that
03:57 GuShH brb
03:58 tsmeow-afk should be in bed as
04:02 GuShH I should get brushes for the grinder and the dremel... but it means having to remove them because the guys at the store don't really know the sizes
04:02 GuShH so I'll either have to measure or bring one
04:03 GuShH I remember when tools used to come with spare brushes.
04:03 GuShH even some chinese drills would come with a tiny white box and a couple of them
04:10 GuShH heh this almost looks homemade http://www.sterlingtools.com.au/SDT_dash_SET/Sheet-Deburrer-Set/pd.php
06:37 GuShH k whoever told me they were 7 kittens they either couldn't count or something went on... I could only see 4, she had them in a box where I used to keep some chains and some car spares heh
06:38 GuShH despite giving her a box, she chose that one instead, which is underneath my brother's rm125 heh... used to be closed, but she managed her way in
06:38 GuShH so cute
06:45 GuShH this explains why she kept going to that box a week or so ago, she had already chosen the place. interesting... turns out underneath a dirt bike, behind an air compressor is the way to go if you're a cat!
06:51 GuShH hmm unsure if she paused her labor or if that's it, I wasn't around when this happened
11:14 GuShH hmm this method of making tags and name plates seems pretty good, just need to figure out a way to quickly etch black
11:20 GuShH electro etched then hot blackened and finally to get the patina effect, quick sanding with 220 grit http://gushh.net/tmp/dscn4082f.jpg I need to figure out a way to get a better resist... I haven't measured but I think it ate through at least 0.3mm (about half an hour worth with a battery charger and salt solution)
11:21 GuShH I like the rough "cast iron" look though
11:22 GuShH just need to figure out an electrolyte solution for instant blackening using a negative resist instead
11:22 any03322524 Artificial intelligence 2,772 books, subject
11:22 any03322524 Artificial Intelligence 2,756 books, subject
11:22 any03322524 artificial intelligence 2,726 books, subject
11:22 any03322524 that's a lil scarey, since the list was put together by humans
11:22 GuShH hm?
11:23 any03322524 the humans cannot decide how many books they have on Ai
11:23 any03322524 the topic is "intelligence", how odd they exhibit so little
11:23 GuShH depends on how the query is formed, etc
11:24 ShH idly tries a new de
11:24 any03322524 well, i entered "intelligence", they responded with 3 different counts and ways of typing "artificial intelligence"
11:25 theBear what are you talking about
11:25 any03322524 but under "artificial intelligence" as a topic, how many books are tehre? 2,772, 2,756, or 2,726 ?
11:25 GuShH he might be on the wrong channel
11:25 GuShH or just high.
11:25 any03322524 who?
11:25 GuShH theBear: did you like the little plate I made?
11:26 theBear you were talking back <grin>
11:26 theBear you any, wtf is this list artificial nonsense ?
11:26 GuShH those are the first 5 letters of my surname in case you were wondering
11:26 theBear plate ? where ?
11:26 ShH sh
11:26 GuShH http://gushh.net/tmp/dscn4082f.jpg
11:26 theBear you are mr artifer ?
11:26 GuShH just print a new design, going to try it after lunch
11:26 theBear OH, those letters
11:26 theBear nice, how you do that ?
11:27 GuShH electro etching then some old blacksmith trick
11:27 theBear very cool !
11:27 GuShH yeah it's for my lathe stand, 'cos I'm that crazy.
11:28 theBear out of interest, the very nice coffee i get out the backdoor of my mums cafe is called fiore
11:28 GuShH :o
11:28 GuShH now if only I could figure out a way to get a bit more definition and less undercutting...
11:28 GuShH if I had sheet metal thin enough (0.2mm or so) I could actually etch through and get a "laser cut" finish
11:29 GuShH so with two plates you could play with contrast, colours, etc.
11:29 theBear hmm, that sexction of the metal was already ground out/lower than the rest ?
11:29 GuShH no
11:29 GuShH that's how much it was etched in half an hour
11:30 GuShH originally 0.9mm or so, now probably 0.7mm or 0.6, haven't measured.
11:30 theBear wow, in that case i'd say that's pretty damned good definition
11:31 GuShH this is all very basic, chunk of old steel for the cathode, anode on the plate and some salt water solution for the electrolyte, I didn't even care for the current. to bring up the contrast I blackened (brought it red hot, then applied oil with an old rag) and finally you can either sand it or polish it to bring up the contrast, seal with bees wax or similar.
11:31 theBear what you use for the mask ?
11:31 GuShH so if I actually had some defects on the resist, to make it look like it was cast iron... and used thicker steel, and left it for longer (assuming it won't undercut too badly) then I could get some pretty cool plates
11:31 GuShH toner
11:32 GuShH wish I had a plotter
11:32 theBear no shit ? very nice
11:32 GuShH I'll post some info on my site later, still working out the kinks but it's an old method I figure, just realized I could use it to make my own little plates for things I build heh
11:33 GuShH bet you could make an awesome belt buckle or things like that
11:33 theBear yeah, but like pcb etching, old methods become a lot more interesting when you can just print and iron instead of complex photographic or other complicated crap
11:33 GuShH imagine the cost of having these things made
11:34 GuShH of course they might look better, but you could probably cover your room in sheet metal at the same cost.
11:34 GuShH wonder if I could make some artsy stuff later on, to frame.
11:41 GuShH theBear: another idea... use wood stain to make it look like old copper or even brass and clear-coat it, surely a lot cheaper than working with thick copper sheets to begin with
11:43 theBear meh, i always liked the bare 'real metal' look of etching like that, all that browney kinda metal looks like cheap window dressing
11:44 GuShH lol
11:44 GuShH we'll see
11:45 GuShH I don't know what they use, sometimes it looks like smeared poop
11:45 GuShH but you can get pretty colours with heat and dyes
11:50 theBear mmm, dyes can be ok, but more effective on something light like ally, otherwise i like that bare wrought iron kinda look
11:50 theBear wrought/cast
11:54 dumbass sounds like the wrong channel, should be in #metalworking
11:58 GuShH dumbass: you got the right nickname sir.
11:58 theBear GuShH, beat me to it !
11:58 theBear also, great minds :)
11:59 GuShH always!

11:59 eBear is a sensitive artist, underneath the gruff no-bullshit exte
11:59 theBear he said that
12:00 theBear and whaddyou got against metalwork all of a sudden ??
12:00 theBear dammit jim !
12:00 dumbass [11:43] <GuShH> dumbass: you got the right nickname sir.
12:00 dumbass [11:43] <theBear> GuShH, beat me to it !
12:00 theBear c'mon ! you making me sad
12:00 GuShH heh
12:00 dumbass i have nothing against metalwork, but you said Ai, which would control robots, is offtopic here
12:01 GuShH most useful robots are made with metal...
12:01 GuShH nothing is ever offtopic.
12:01 theBear i said i had no idea what you were talking about cos it was all abstract and without context !
12:03 dumbass [11:10] <GuShH> he might be on the wrong channel
12:03 dumbass [11:10] <GuShH> or just high.
12:03 theBear for the same reason i exhibited dumbfoundment !
12:03 ShH s

12:05 GuShH I can make this better with sexy pictures of rust http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs18/f/2007/191/e/1/Metal_Rust_Texture_06_by_FantasyStock.jpg
12:06 theBear in the meantime, hmmm, pal seems 'fine' over those l/r/composite 3 way cheap rca leads that (used to) come with vcr or dvd players, they're probly 'fine' for the short leads out from a salvaged/repaired 'security camera'
12:06 theBear that's the ugly sad kinda rust
12:06 GuShH :<
12:06 theBear you want things like the brackets on old wheelbarrows and hoes and things
12:06 GuShH http://www.smithandarrow.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/rust.jpg
12:06 GuShH to me that's sad....
12:06 theBear maybe a scythe that's been lying without a handle in the dirt and rain for years
12:07 theBear that is sad, but still more aesthetically pleasing
