01:48 MrCurious this is what i like. a productive night
02:18 Jak_o_Android battling with android is not a productive night for ne lol
02:19 Jak_o_Android also, my phone is updated to ICS in the UK but not here :(
04:19 Jak_o_Android rif: make your robot hand play chess.
05:50 GuShH RifRaf: what an awesome conversion! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqKmZVODNCU that's actually the smaller lathe I was contemplating to buy (ended up buying the same one you've got though, although I haven't figured out a delivery schedule yet)
05:50 GuShH how come the carriage moves so fast?
05:51 GuShH oh those are some hefty motors... seems like an almost permanent setup, might have to get a second lathe one day just for this :/
05:54 GuShH seems like these smaller lathes are also quite capable of most tasks when it comes to small work, thing is they have plastic gears inside and overall cheaper construction, plus I wanted something bigger that's why I got the 750mm one
05:55 GuShH still, very interesting option if I ever need to produce several parts in series.
05:58 GuShH heck it might even be cheaper to CNC-convert for stuff like radius cutting and anything requiring a particular jig (other than knurling) since specific tools and jigs are not cheap nor easy to find...
05:58 GuShH looking at all the cnc-mill conversions they all use those cheap chinese mills I've been whining about (the ones that can't go past 2500RPM on a good day)
06:06 RyanS I have some salvaged wheelchair motors 150w, supposedly 350 rpm. That with the gearbox I presume?
06:09 Jak_o_Android where is it labelled?
06:10 GuShH RyanS: measure it
06:11 RyanS On the actual motor. I can't connect thesedirectly to a 24 volt supply to run them? I would need a driver
06:11 GuShH and don't say you don't have a tachometer
06:11 GuShH how many wires coming out?
06:11 RyanS I probably don't
06:11 GuShH it could be 3 phase
06:11 GuShH RyanS: that sort of negativity isn't good for you!
06:11 Jak_o_Android if thats straight to the wheels, tgat seems fast i think
06:12 RyanS It has brakes too
06:12 GuShH you can attach something to the shaft, make it hit something while recording the sound, then measure the Hz and multiply by 60 to obtain RPM
06:12 Jak_o_Android if its a wheelchair, why wouldnt it just be DC?
06:12 RyanS I'm not sure if I can rip the gearbox off
06:12 RyanS It is DC
06:12 GuShH Jak_o_Android: for fine control of speed and direction
06:12 GuShH like a threadmill
06:12 Jak_o_Android generally you dont want to.
06:13 GuShH what are you talking about
06:13 GuShH you want fine control if you are chair bound
06:13 GuShH that's how you MOVE
06:13 GuShH it has to be reliable and repeatable.
06:13 Jak_o_Android couldnt you just pwm it? does changing it to a 3-phase motor make it work better?
06:14 GuShH as are tread mills.
06:14 Jak_o_Android yeah, was referring to taking the gearbox off.
06:14 RyanS http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/6994/assembledonbench.jpg I want to build oneof these
06:14 GuShH the gearbox is there for the torque, do you need it?
06:14 GuShH neat
06:15 RyanS I think a grinder needs about 5000 rpm?
06:15 GuShH I guess you could reduce with gears or pulleys and get rid of the gearbox
06:15 RyanS Probably needs to be variable too
06:15 GuShH depends on what it's for and the stone used
06:15 GuShH also what it's going to be grinding
06:15 Jak_o_Android oh, a grimder. i was thinking a robot base.
06:15 GuShH that has a tool holder for a quick change toolpost for a lathe though
06:16 RyanS Precision grinding of the lathe
06:16 GuShH ON the lathe, hopefully not OF the lathe as you'd end up crying yourself to sleep at night if you grind your chuck or other part.
06:16 RyanS I think it's for tool steel
06:17 GuShH Could be, but what are you going to be grinding with it?
06:17 RyanS Yes on
06:17 RyanS And don't know just sounds like a cool project
06:17 GuShH heh
06:17 GuShH Jak_o_Android: they are DC but brushless, and because of that you've got to deal with 3 phases.
06:18 GuShH like RC brushless motors
06:18 GuShH and it's a form of PWM
06:18 GuShH keeping in mind the phase offset etc
06:18 RyanS I don't think they brushless they are pretty old
06:18 Jak_o_Android oh, derp, never looked into the theory of brushless DC. I was thinking induction motor or something
06:19 GuShH RyanS: I can either guess or you can take a picture of it :p
06:19 GuShH modern mini lathes use brushless dc motors as well
06:20 RyanS I'm just thinking the spindle is going to be difficult to fabricate without run-out
06:20 GuShH I've only seen one that used a 3 phase AC and a tiny VFD built-in, looked like a conversion from a regular lathe though, but sold as "variable speed mini lathe" in china
06:20 GuShH RyanS: use a dog
06:20 GuShH I won't have one for a while.. lathe I got doesn't come with one
06:21 GuShH but that's a good way to turn spindles with little runout, as for the mounting portion you might want to mill it
06:21 RyanS woof
06:22 GuShH >_<
06:22 RyanS And jigsaw and drill press for the mount
06:22 theBear hmm, on reflection, you could use a lathe to make gears or pulleys, so as to run a lathe off of more practical motors/speeds
06:23 RyanS Are those Chinese horizontal band saws ok?
06:23 GuShH hmm not without a jig
06:23 GuShH RyanS: no clue
06:23 theBear heck, if you had a lathe you could more or less fabricate one, negating the need for having one in the first place <grin>
06:23 GuShH in theory yes
06:23 GuShH it's the only tool that can replicate itself
06:23 theBear meh, gears i spose, but pulleys you could do manually 'by eye' more or less
06:23 GuShH don't mention ripraps or I'll go nuts
06:24 GuShH reprap
06:24 theBear i won't, but i am fond of the rifrap prototype (well, just a single piece of perspex stuff technically, but it said rif on it, so i approve <grin>)
06:24 GuShH or in case you add 3 heads and it doesn't work at all, a repfart
06:24 GuShH RIFrapFABfap
06:25 GuShH 'cos you know it's rapid fabrication while you stare at it and do what feels right.
06:25 RyanS I wonder how those CNC lathes can index the spindle. It surely isn't a stepper
06:26 GuShH theBear: has anyone built a glass one?
06:26 GuShH you know what I mean, instead of plastic using glass.
06:26 GuShH that would be awesome and not too trivial to make.
06:26 theBear reminds me, later when i'm not running late for the bottleshop, someone is gonna explain to me how a screw-feed (as used in old-style non filiament extruders, strictly for example,) can create effective pressure without some kind of 'teeth' or offset (ala 'real' screw drives) with random squashable stuff run thru it
06:26 GuShH you'd probably have to keep the whole thing at a certain temperature
06:26 Jak_o_Android just be hotter. which is a lot of work.
06:26 GuShH Jak_o_Android: no, but glass tends to shatter if you cool it too rapidly
06:27 GuShH unless there are additives I'm not aware of :p
06:27 GuShH way hotter.
06:27 Jak_o_Android put it in an oven.
06:27 GuShH well, but that's another problem.
06:27 theBear GuShH, i do not know, but if I ever build one, it will be the most unconventional and awesome seemingly too ghetto to possibly work one, EVER MADE !!!!
06:27 GuShH Heh
06:27 GuShH I want one...
06:28 GuShH so I take it RyanS has no carrier / drag / dog for the lathe?
06:29 GuShH is there other method that is as accurate? the idea of the dog is to transmit power while holding it between centers, so that way you don't introduce errors from the chuck (specially 3 jaw chucks!)
06:30 RyanS needa faceplate
06:30 GuShH well yes a drag plate
06:30 GuShH or whatever it's actually called
06:30 GuShH I think the 4 jaw chuck that comes with this lathe can actually be used for this
06:30 GuShH but no dog comes with it
06:31 theBear skateboarding on a big ramp always did it for me... OOOH, you said facePLATE <cheeky grin>
06:31 GuShH that's an independent jaw chuck, which is great for precision if you've got a micrometer
06:31 GuShH I can't skateboard...
06:31 GuShH I'm sure if I got one and decided to practice I'd eventually get good at it
06:31 GuShH but I suck
06:31 RyanS Those things don't even resemble a dog
06:31 GuShH I once landed on my face
06:31 GuShH RyanS: I don't know why it's called a dog in English
06:32 RyanS or those things you stick into a woodworking table
06:32 GuShH maybe because it bites the work piece
06:32 GuShH ah that... shit I made one not too long ago
06:32 GuShH the hold-fast?
06:32 GuShH crazy french invention (I guess it's french)
06:32 theBear i couldn't do halfpipes last i checked a few years ago, but i still did okay for the oldest guy at the skatepark by FAR, (everytime, without fail <grin>) on regular ramps, just can't seem to get my head around skating vertically in my old-age, what with gravity and friction and all :-)
06:33 RyanS I understand the L-shaped dogs but not the straight ones
06:33 GuShH I don't know any straight ones, thought they were all gay
06:34 GuShH oh with drive pin
06:34 theBear lol
06:34 RyanS I can't imagine a grinderhaving any torque just high rpm
06:34 GuShH bench grinders don't have a lot of torque motor-wise
06:34 GuShH it's all momentum from the mass of the stones
06:35 GuShH a bit torquey as you get onto higher power, but you'll notice the wheels are also bigger
06:35 theBear mmm, even the motor itself is heavy on the ones i've ever dealt with,
06:35 GuShH they are after all induction motors...
06:35 GuShH theBear: heh old old ones were all cast iron
06:35 theBear consider the size of the middle/body vs what you are grinding
06:35 GuShH new ones are cast alu :/
06:36 GuShH get the machinist's book if you are interested on the details
06:36 theBear yeah, that's why i mentioned 'i've dealt with', figured there'd be some hitech new twist i missed
06:36 GuShH Machinery's Handbook Guide - 28th Edition
06:36 theBear i've got his movie, awesome, gore from teh 1st scene :)
06:36 GuShH theBear: I'd rather have an old grinder
06:36 GuShH those things will outlive everyone
06:37 GuShH otoh the cheapie chinese one works fine, fairly straight and well balanced for what it costs
06:37 GuShH not sure if it runs on bushings or bearings, most likely bushings
06:37 RyanS I keep seeing those videos by Tubal Cain.. he thinks anything not made in the US is complete rubbish
06:37 RyanS Even Japanese machines I suspect
06:38 GuShH Heh as do most Americans
06:38 GuShH Swiss stuff... German stuff... all good
06:38 RyanS He probably fought the Japanese
06:38 GuShH I also like some American tools, but since I'm not American I'm not biased in any way
06:38 GuShH LOL
06:38 Jak_o_Android ill be stealing a friends old bench grinder at some point in tge future
06:39 GuShH I got mine very cheep it cost only $10 more than the 300W one, this is 550W
06:39 Jak_o_Android have no idea how to use it apart from sharpenung simple blades
06:39 theBear heh, i gonna have one, so long as it outlives my dad, but it looks good, in the last 30 years dad has gotten way older, grinder still looks exactly teh same :)
06:39 RyanS Starret are even more expensive than mityutoyo
06:39 GuShH RyanS: they are?
06:39 RyanS Prices are ridiculous
06:39 GuShH mitutoyo is everything I'd ever need, but can't afford
06:39 Jak_o_Android In australia, there are good tool brands, and bad ones
06:39 GuShH like the data cable for one of their calipers runs for 200 bucks
06:40 GuShH there are good and bad everywhere
06:40 GuShH specially china.
06:40 RyanS I think my $20 calipers died
06:40 GuShH my $9 digital caliper still works heh
06:40 GuShH came with an extra cell
06:40 theBear i like powertools so old that they're all metal and shabby enough that i'm terrified to use them until i've rewired the mains input and checked for sensible/intact earthing, not quite sure why
06:40 RyanS I don't know what brand is halfway between mityutoyo and cheapo
06:40 GuShH lol
06:40 theBear i can't find my $2shop plastic calipers for over a year now !
06:41 GuShH oh I use those all the time with the wood lathe
06:41 GuShH safer in case of an "oops" moment
06:41 GuShH just not accurate for anything other than standard pipes and such
06:41 theBear bench grinder aint TOO scary, grandads old metal-body powerdrill, something about that thing always makes me think someone gonna die holding the button down
06:41 GuShH lol
06:41 RyanS It seems to me that you want to get an average caliper but the best micrometre you could afford
06:42 Jak_o_Android thrBear, i dumped a drill like that a few years ago, regret it so much
06:42 GuShH how much is a starret with magnetic clamp / base ?
06:42 GuShH Jak_o_Android: ow :(
06:42 RyanS Those 200mm angle grinders are scary
06:43 GuShH regular ones are what 120mm?
06:43 GuShH I've held the biggest ones there are, but never actually used one
06:43 GuShH not that I'd have a use for them but they're AWESOME
06:43 Jak_o_Android yeah. it was way overkill for any use i have, the motor was probably 15cm or slightly more
06:43 theBear seems to me i only ever seen one digital caliper/sub-10thmm measurer in my time, but if you aren't a monkey a shitty cheap noname plastic vernier caliper is perfectly usable for indoors kinda things, and surprisingly accurate if handled remembering it's flexible lightweight plastic :)
06:44 GuShH well we entered the tubalcain territory a few minutes ago
06:44 GuShH anything not made in the US is an "asian job" for him.
06:44 theBear erm, regular is less than 120 surely, maybe 90mm or so, the 200mm ones are kinda cool when you need them and know how to use them, chop thru a BIG structural i-beam like it's butter, take 20 blades and half a day with a normal sized anklebiter
06:45 Jak_o_Android it wouldve made a good small generator i think
06:45 GuShH 115mm is the standard
06:45 GuShH to 125mm
06:45 RyanS I saw a hand drill with a freakin morse taper 4 mount
06:45 GuShH that's what I've got
06:45 GuShH use it all the time
06:45 theBear and the big ones are handy if you gotta cut a doorhole in a brick/concrete wall in a hurry too !
06:46 GuShH heh
06:46 GuShH but you forgot to mention they're not cheap
06:46 RyanS our drill press is only mt2
06:46 GuShH specially Makita, DeWalt...
06:46 GuShH my wood lathe is mt2!
06:46 GuShH mt1, mt2, mt3 are the most standard
06:46 Jak_o_Android yeah, main drill is an old corded makita, smasjes the battery ryobi i had
06:47 GuShH I don't really have a lot of power tools
06:47 theBear gotta checkout dads 'old' drillpress one of these days, he says the shaft is slightly bent, but i suspect it just needs some fiddling, 5 speed manual belt shift 'benchtop' one, would be handy
06:47 RyanS I want a magnetic base drill..... Can use it to crack safes
06:48 GuShH I've got a safe but it's been cracked once
06:48 GuShH trying to figure out whether to chop it for steel or what
06:48 theBear mmm, my main drill is a midrange 10-ish y.old makita, drilled a ton of hammerstuff, and still looks/works liek new, fine for 1mm drilling or whatever i need
06:48 RyanS I've just found a way to defeat safe cracker make it out of stainless steel
06:48 RyanS No magnetic drills
06:48 GuShH actually stainless is a bit magnetic
06:48 theBear i do miss my ryobi one battery drill tho, nothing special, but it worked, and didn't have a cord :-]
06:49 GuShH not sure if all types of stainless are
06:49 GuShH let's see... an orbital sander, heat gun, angle grinder, two drills (one is pretty much gone) and... I think that's it.
06:49 GuShH oh the jigsaw
06:49 theBear mmm, magnetic drills aren't all safecrackers have up their sleeves, they're only for 'basic'/simple mech safes or a small part of more complex approaches
06:49 GuShH this big old safe was cracked brute-force style
06:50 GuShH they cut the drive pin / shaft with what I presume was an angle grinder
06:50 theBear safecracking is a fascinating area... all the auto-lockdown mechs and various 'sneaky' lock mech aproaches
06:50 GuShH (someone who obviously knew this particular model)
06:50 GuShH theBear: heh and every moving part has shear pins
06:50 RyanS I saw a safe that was cracked into using a oxyacetylene torch apparently they spent four hours in a fish and chip shop breaking into it
06:51 GuShH lol
06:51 theBear lol
06:51 GuShH this thing is ancient, left behind by the previous owner of the house and moved to the garage from their company office
06:51 GuShH I think someone cracked it, stole whatever contents it had and they they didn't know what to do with it
06:51 GuShH then*
06:51 GuShH I can't even move that thing it's massive
06:51 RyanS Because everyone knows fish and chip shops keep valuables on premises
06:52 GuShH and nobody will buy it because of the transport issue
06:52 GuShH RyanS: huh?
06:52 theBear i'd like to practice stethoscoping classic style combination safes, i think that'd be fun, and you get to convince people that you sandpaper your fingers for bonus-funtimes
06:52 GuShH perhaps on that particular case there were valuables and the thief knew it
06:52 RyanS Four hours and all you get is a bag of frozen dim sims
06:52 GuShH hmm the combination box seems broken on this safe
06:52 theBear RyanS, naturally, that's why they're known for having big fancy safes <grin>
06:52 GuShH I managed to engage it (you can disable it for key only use) but it doesn't seem to be locking on any positions
06:53 GuShH oh and I don't have the key.
06:53 RyanS I would hide the valuables in a plastic bag inside a drum of fish batter]
06:53 GuShH lol
06:53 GuShH I wouldnt' use consumables
06:53 GuShH they're bound to be used by someone
06:53 GuShH specially edibles.
06:53 theBear generally the better combination locks dont' have any 'identifiable' mechanical action when 'something happens' ... that'd make cracking them WAY too trivial
06:53 RyanS Haven't you seen breaking bad
06:54 RyanS They use the chicken batter
06:54 GuShH there was a story on the news years ago about a famous person having lost a lot of cash because she would keep her dollars inside frozen chickens
06:54 theBear not as much as i should have by now
06:54 GuShH and her boyfriend decided to throw them away because they were expired
06:54 GuShH lol
06:54 theBear lol, crazy famous people, always roasting their valuables in a chicken !
06:54 GuShH I reckon she used vacuum bags for the stacks, but still... risky
06:55 RyanS It's not as crazy as an deep-fried turkey
06:55 GuShH oh these were raw
06:56 RyanS they deep fry entire turkeys in the redneck States
06:56 GuShH I know...
06:56 GuShH with big ass stainless propane powered friers
06:56 RyanS It's like a Stockpot with a massive gas burner and you'd die of carbon monoxide if you use them inside
06:56 GuShH seems like they fry everything
06:57 RyanS turducken
06:57 GuShH I'm not a fucking alien! I know.
06:57 theBear hmm, i wonder if the bottleshop (where they know me due to my almost daily visits for the last several years, literally i visit as often as any single member of staff <grin>) would sell me a case of wine but let me keep 96.4% or so of it there until i have a vehicle with me... it's either that or ask one of them to drop it off on the way home, and it's not even worth considering 'wasting' $4 on a bottl
06:57 theBear e of wine that could cost me $3.60 !
06:57 GuShH Used to read the cabelas catalogs while taking a crap.
06:57 GuShH I'm as outdoorsy as you are!
06:57 ShH fr
06:57 theBear lol
06:57 GuShH I could use a drink now
06:57 GuShH or many drinks.
06:58 RyanS I thought maybe they don't have poultry in Argentina :p
06:58 theBear no, apparently you couldn't, you made a decision, you're a grown man, stick to it, at least until you make a different one
06:58 GuShH pffft
06:58 GuShH we export all kinds of shit.
06:58 GuShH theBear: well, I've saved some cash since I quit drinking... cash I would've spent on booze that is
06:58 RyanS Che Guevara for example
06:59 RyanS Decided to have a revolution in Cuba instead
07:00 theBear i used to drink emu-export when i had beer-class-money to spend, ironically it doesn't get exported, or even sold outside of the state ... tho fosters doesn't have an export label, and that's known as shitty beer the world around (i like it, but i'm literally one in 4.3thousand, based on a statistic i just dislodged from my rectal passage)
07:00 RyanS emu....?
07:01 GuShH emo
07:01 RyanS XXXX because they can't spell beer in qld
07:01 theBear it's a this-state-brewed-and-sold beer, been around longer than me, not too bad, tho greencans are better than redcans (bitter vs export, actually on reflection,i drank bitter)
07:02 GuShH that's because you are a bitter drinker
07:02 theBear lol ;) that too is a beer that 'only i like' , but damn it's good when you can find the non-light version of it (not many light-beer brands around, so the light sells much more commonly)
07:03 theBear lol, that's why i have sugar in my hot-drinks, make me sweeter
07:04 m_itx gives theBear a pot of h
07:04 theBear emu was originally made at the swan brewery, which was 'reclaimed' as native land (casino style approach) when i was in primary school, and then sat decaying and untouched for many years until everyone forgot about teh token land-return-age and it got turned into some kidna fancy restaurant kinda deal
07:05 theBear why tahknyou mr itx, i will treasure it always ! tho it'll be an empty pot most of that always-period :-P
07:06 theBear if i approved of upsidedown smilies i'd often say [-:P , cos i like wearing caps at silly-angles
07:06 theBear and i like square-bracket smilies, cos i imagine it's what robots will look like when they learn to smile
07:09 theBear hmm, time is running out.. is it unreasonable to ask bottleshop staff how they feel about dropping off a case of wine on their way home on behalf of the local cripple ?
07:09 theBear would it stretch our as yet untested friendship ?
07:10 GuShH do it
07:10 GuShH but pay him at your door
07:11 GuShH yey futurama is back
07:11 theBear pay him what ? the $4 i save for buying a case ?
07:11 GuShH put on your 2d glasses
07:11 GuShH the case
07:11 GuShH I wouldn't trust no clerk
07:11 GuShH he would run away with the case!
07:17 GuShH lol a pimparoo
07:17 theBear meh, i trust them just like they trust me, and i like to think that between some degree of taste, and gainful employment, AND staff discounts, that they got better things to drink
07:18 theBear what's that, a leopardskin 'roo with a feather in its hat and maybe a decorative cane ?
08:14 theBear my maths were WAA-AA-AA-Y off ! i got 1 and 4/5ths bottles of wine free and i only had to buy 6 of them !
08:14 theBear that's a pretty damned decent discount if you ask me !
08:17 theBear and my new shiny fone battery was in the mailbox ! i worked out how they can afford free postage AND still be the cheapest in the country too.. seems you can post a mobile phone battery as a thick-letter in a regular a4 or so envelope for two regular .60c stamps... nice work weird woggy dude i talked to on the phone the other day, very nice work !
09:08 rue_house I had a dream that I met this guy with a water driven sawmill, it used 3 hydraulic pressure boosters
09:31 GuShH rue_house: as far as dreams go... you are messed up!
09:32 GuShH theBear: can I get the free 1 and whatevers bottles? :D
09:33 GuShH crap, ran out of 3X2.5mm mains cord
12:20 theBear someone got a minute to check http://rememberit.com.au/insanity-test/ is accessible to teh public for a bear ?
12:24 theBear don't worry, isitdownforeveryone site did the job
12:24 theBear looks like i had a 2nd non testing. prefix website up and running since i can't remember (literally :)
12:39 robotustra theBear: are you work at home?
12:41 robotustra you are always here
12:41 robotustra I suspect you have a RJ-45 jack somewhere on your body
13:32 theBear i'm always here, don't even sleep much these days... i'm crippled in my leg via my back most days, card carrying pensioner and all..
15:50 Tonelock hey everyone, I was looking for some stepper motors, servo motors, actuators and such, just for getting to grips with them and doing some light robotics- can anyone here recommend a source of cheap parts so that i can dip my toe into robotics?
15:51 DagoRed scrap yard
15:51 DagoRed old printers have most of the parts you want.
15:52 Tonelock yeah, I thought of old printers
15:52 Tonelock I have some printers here made of metal
15:52 Tonelock dot-matrix
15:52 Tonelock they seem to have great motors
15:52 DagoRed Those have some awesome stepper motors.
15:52 Tonelock and there is an old car going for scrap here soon
15:52 DagoRed As far as servo's, ebay it.
15:53 Tonelock I'm going to take the electric window motors out
15:53 Tonelock alternator too most likely
15:53 Tonelock is a starter motor worth taking?
15:53 DagoRed don't forget the pump for the windshield sprayers and the windshield whiper motors.
15:53 DagoRed For small robots, no.
15:53 padakon hey
15:54 padakon anyoner here?
15:54 DagoRed Yes....
15:54 Tonelock oh yes- I forgot the windshield pump- got one of those years ago- they were great fun
15:54 padakon I'm working on a line follower robot
15:54 DagoRed door locks have a great linear actuator.
15:54 padakon And all of the line following stuff is done
15:54 DagoRed padakon: is this for a school project.
15:54 padakon no
15:54 padakon for an international competition
15:54 padakon i got stuck
15:55 Tonelock windshield wiper motor- I destroyed one years ago by taking it apart- and then when i put it back together- it would bind in the sides
15:55 padakon lemme continue
15:55 padakon this robot needs to pick up an empty cola can
15:55 padakon and elevate it a little more than 6 cm
15:55 padakon and release it somewhere
15:55 padakon now the thing is
15:55 padakon i need to do this with one motor
15:56 Tonelock valves for fuel control too I guess?
15:56 padakon because i use 2 for movement and 1 for linetracking
15:56 padakon and i have 1 port left
15:56 Tonelock relays
15:56 Tonelock fuses
15:57 Tonelock oh, I guess the coil-pack would be a good thing to take out
15:57 Tonelock make an electric fencer :)
15:57 padakon ANYONE?!
15:58 Tonelock padakon- you need some sort of- gear/cam mechanism
15:58 Tonelock to do that with one motor
15:59 Tonelock must the same motor drive the wheels?
16:00 padakon no
16:00 Tonelock ok- its good then
16:00 padakon I can detect where the cola can is using a sonar
16:00 padakon I need to pick it up
16:00 padakon but with only 1 motor
16:00 Tonelock yeah, like I said
16:00 padakon yea
16:00 Tonelock basically
16:00 padakon something geary
16:00 padakon might do :D
16:01 Tonelock you need like a pincer/scissors idea
16:01 Tonelock sensor detects can at certain distance
16:01 Tonelock moves close until can is reached
16:01 Tonelock turns motor om
16:01 Tonelock cam rotates
16:01 Tonelock closes the grabber
16:02 Tonelock once it has tightened
16:02 robotustra Tonelock: you get this idea from Futurama
16:02 Tonelock no-I don't watch it
16:02 Tonelock btw, is there liquid in the can?
16:02 padakon sorry what do you mean by cam
16:03 padakon what is a cam, other than a webcam?
16:05 Tonelock padakon - this>>
16:05 Tonelock http://www.thirdgen.org/tech/images/Camshaft_primer_m7c13812.png#
16:05 Tonelock http://www.thirdgen.org/tech/images/Camshaft_primer_m7c13812.png
16:05 Tonelock the strange shaped thing is the cam
16:06 Tonelock the shape of it depends when the thing above it moves up and down
16:06 Tonelock the rate it rotates decides how often this up and down occurs
16:07 padakon oh
16:07 padakon okay
16:07 padakon so in your explanation
16:07 padakon i got the grabbing part
16:07 padakon what about the elevating part
16:23 Gargantuasauce Tonelock: china
16:23 Gargantuasauce dx.com aliexpress.com ebay
16:24 Gargantuasauce mg996r is the best bang-for-buck i've found in servos, you should be able to find sets of em with a $5 unit cost
16:25 Tonelock ah yeah, the usual suspects- haven't bought from aliexpress yet
16:25 Tonelock Gargantuasauce- oh, that sounds good
16:42 robotustra http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=elZU29F4Bbc#at=283
18:25 GuShH I wonder if theBear already drank all the bottles
18:25 GuShH Hmm the grid is very unstable lately
18:26 GuShH There's probably a dying transformer and these idiots haven't figured it out yet
18:26 GuShH Plus when they balance the loads it seems a monkey is in charge by how it's done
18:27 GuShH Bah I'm going to invest on emergency lights and whatnot, I'm sick of this shit...
18:27 GuShH Plus I bet sooner or later it's going to surge and kill half my stuff
19:14 GuShH RyanS: holy crap starret stuff sure is expensive!
19:15 GuShH been looked at used indicators, comparators, etc... way out of my range
19:15 GuShH I can't imagine what they cost new
19:15 GuShH even the mitutoyo ones are way cheaper
19:15 GuShH less than half the price
19:59 theBear nah, i was unusually absent minded last night, by which i mean more than usual, <grin>
21:05 RifRaf GuShH just saw that video of the cnc lathe conversion, looks great, you gonna try it?
21:20 GuShH RifRaf: I might one day, but I didn't get the mini lathe I bought the bigger one
21:21 GuShH that mini looks neat to CNC and machine adapters and small pieces like that.
21:21 GuShH otoh some things are not worth machining these days
21:22 GuShH for instance I was looking at safety valves for 1/4 BSP, they make adjustable ones and they go for 5 bucks at the store (much cheaper on eBay I bet)
21:22 GuShH If you were to buy the stock and factor the time, tooling, etc... in that case it's not worth it unless for some reason you absolutely can't buy it at the store heh
21:24 GuShH not sure how much hexagon brass bar goes for around here though
21:24 orlok GuShH: what sorts were you looking at? sieg?
21:24 RifRaf yep, so you got a lathe now, have you set it up yet?
21:25 GuShH isn't sieg just a rebrand for china stuff
21:25 orlok yeah
21:25 GuShH RifRaf: I bought it, but I don't have it yet
21:25 GuShH because it's two consecutive national holidays around here
21:25 GuShH until saturday I can't even contact the store
21:25 GuShH maybe on Monday I'll get it, who knows. they haven't confirmed the shipping cost yet
21:25 RifRaf nice one, bet you are looking forward to it
21:26 orlok GuShH: what sort?
21:26 GuShH haven't got any tools yet, so I'm going to find it rather annoying.
21:26 GuShH that's like buying a gun without bullets
21:26 ShH shakes
21:26 orlok i wouldent mine one of the little combo mill/lathes, but the mill head stands are always just tubes rather than a decent mount
21:26 GuShH orlok: 750mm between centers, generic china job
21:26 GuShH ah saw a combo mill / lathe... too expensive and wanky for me
21:26 GuShH I'd rather have a separate mill
21:27 GuShH that I would try to CNC as well, but I'd want steppers with double shaft so I can attach the wheels to the other ends and use it manually
21:27 RifRaf GuShH you have a grinter and green stone? get a few bits of tool steel and make some tools
21:27 GuShH I don't like the idea of a machine that is only usable via CNC
21:27 RifRaf grinder*
21:28 GuShH I have a bench grinder
21:28 RifRaf should do the job
21:28 GuShH might just buy a 17 tool kit for now
21:28 GuShH RifRaf: heh with water sure it will, I didn't get the "sharpener" type grinder and now I regret it (the one with the water wheel and reduction gearbox)
21:28 RifRaf i watched an old guy make me some tools when i first got lathe, still have them, tiny boring bits
21:29 GuShH some tools I just can't see myself making, specially the inside threading ones
21:29 GuShH it might take a very long time on a grinder.
21:29 RifRaf threading tools are a bit harder i guess, but some basic cutters and parting tools so be easy
21:29 RifRaf should be*
21:30 GuShH let's see each tool ends up costing with shipping around... 5 dollars each
21:30 GuShH they're 3/8
21:32 zhanx evening
21:33 Jak_o_Shadows hi
21:33 GuShH shit. price went up since I last checked
21:33 Tom_itx life sucks like that
21:33 GuShH only if you live in Argentina
21:34 Tom_itx naw, pretty much everywhere
21:34 GuShH that's why it's so hard to get tools... no imports and inflation
21:34 zhanx will be gone for a bit
21:34 GuShH I can't even find a proper tap set
21:34 GuShH zhanx: ok? to the moon?
21:34 GuShH can I go?
21:34 zhanx not really
21:35 ShH grabs the fish bowl and a snickers
21:35 Jak_o_Shadows Australia prices are going up online. Curse america for getting it's economy slightly better.
21:35 GuShH aww
21:35 zhanx GuShH, unless you wanna jump out of an airplane with a 100 pounds plus weapon
21:35 GuShH I would
21:36 zhanx guessing 100 pounds still need to add food, water, ammo, batteries, radio etc
21:36 orlok zhanx: went to the pistol range the other night with the local gun nut
21:36 orlok apparently i'm a natural heh
21:37 zhanx cool
21:37 GuShH orlok: this one http://i1.minus.com/iPblcEm7KHPkk.jpg it's a bit of a shit job but that's all you can buy around here... unless you'd want a used banged up piece of rust or something even bigger, but still chinese.
21:37 orlok used his customised S+W model 10's, plus some 38 automatic, and a 9mm rimfire cometition pistol
21:37 zhanx bet that rimfire was fun
21:37 GuShH go to #zombiewanker you two
21:37 orlok very touchy trigger, and shit ammo apparently, one round failed to fire
21:38 zhanx GuShH, naaaa
21:38 GuShH that's one of the things you do to a competition firearm... you want instant feedback on the trigger
21:38 Jak_o_Shadows No such channel GuShH
21:38 orlok prefer the revolvers i think
21:38 GuShH haha
21:38 GuShH Jak_o_Android: you should register it
21:39 GuShH zombiepreppers
21:39 zhanx if i didn't have to jump it in, i would take something to do with me for the downtime but i tossed the deck of cards for weight
21:39 orlok less hassle collecting the brass, its annoying spotting the 38's amonst all the .22
21:39 orlok sorry, it was a .22 rimfire, not 9mm
21:39 GuShH armchaircommando isn't registered either?
21:39 GuShH I haven't heard of 9mm rim but who knows
21:39 GuShH likewise I haven't heard of a 22 that wasn't rim
21:39 GuShH oh by the way why is rimfire banned for hunting in so many places? underpowered?
21:40 orlok yeah, i didnt fire a 9mm
21:40 zhanx GuShH, yes
21:40 GuShH general stupidity + lack of power
21:40 orlok just .22 and .38
21:40 GuShH orlok: don't worry the 9 is like the 38 but for ghetto rappers.
21:40 ShH
21:40 orlok never realised they went and patched up the holes in the targets with sticky dots heh
21:40 zhanx orlock electrical tape is cheaper
21:41 GuShH meh
21:41 GuShH guns are fun but that's about it
21:42 GuShH it seems I don't really have an addictive personality, just mild OCD.
21:42 orlok yeah, i'm not going to buy one anytime
21:42 ShH would rather not talk abou
21:42 GuShH Well now you know I have some, but you don't know what I have
21:42 GuShH I want a 40 pistol otoh I'd get a 22 since it's cheaper and I'd only use it on the range
21:43 zhanx don't need a pistol personally
21:43 GuShH for general defense it's revolvers all the way, much more reliable
21:43 GuShH aside from the rounds there's hardly any moving parts compared to a pistol
21:43 GuShH and by rounds I mean as a failure point
21:43 orlok got made redundant, finish work next week
21:43 zhanx unless there are more than 6 people
21:43 GuShH you wouldn't engage more than 6 people at once
21:44 GuShH unless you wanted to die right there.
21:44 zhanx why not?
21:44 orlok then you hit the "g" key, retreat, and wait for your squaddies to spawn
21:44 GuShH your best bet is to escape and reduce them one by one instead
21:44 ShH s
21:44 zhanx not in my line of work GuShH
21:44 GuShH problem is, that's illegal in many countries
21:44 GuShH zhanx: if you were French it would be the same way except a lot of white flags would be involved
21:45 zhanx lol
21:45 GuShH there's nothing wrong with a cute fake escape.
21:46 GuShH the laws here suck in this regard
21:46 GuShH a crook can shoot you to death and he can get away with it, you can shoot a crook to death inside your property and you'll spend 10 years trying to prove you did it on self defense
21:46 GuShH meanwhile you lost everything you owned.
21:47 zhanx i live on post, its different rules for me here
21:47 GuShH there was a famous case that involved a civilian getting robbed at the bank, he withdrawed a big sum and they intercepted him with a motorcycle
21:47 GuShH he shot the two guys dead right on the street (he was carrying a .40 S&W)
21:48 GuShH despite having years of experience on the range, he still couldn't prove it was on self defense and he ended up in jail
21:48 zhanx not cool
21:48 GuShH for endangering everyone and commiting double murder.
21:48 ace4016 what does experience on the range have to do with proving self defense?
21:48 GuShH thing is, all shots hit the marks and nobody else got hurt
21:48 GuShH ace4016: he didn't miss a shot, he was a good marksman
21:48 GuShH not just a random dude carrying a gun
21:49 GuShH you'd argue someone with no experience could pose a serious danger if he were to discharge a firearm on public
21:49 ace4016 ah
21:49 GuShH but the main problem is, the two crooks were fleeing when he shot them dead
21:49 orlok also - is it self defense if they didnt have a weapon?
21:49 orlok yeah
21:49 GuShH and that's not self defense as far as the court is concerned
21:49 GuShH they had weapons
21:49 ace4016 doesn't help in the self defense case though, just the endangerment of others
21:49 GuShH they even shot at him.
21:49 orlok hard to argue self defense if you shoot them in the back?
21:50 GuShH orlok: I'd argue self defense involves defending your property as well, and the briefcase was his property!
21:50 GuShH in fact his lifetime savings.
21:50 GuShH but yeah, he ended up in jail for offing a couple dipshits.
21:50 zhanx no he ended up in jails do to laws passed by your country
21:50 GuShH and I know "self defense" involves self preservation, yourself.... not your possesions... but still
21:51 GuShH our laws suck
21:51 orlok man, sysadmin roles have exploded into such a diverse range of bullshit
21:51 zhanx not as bad as some places where you can go to jail by words alone
21:51 GuShH death penalty should be implemented ASAP I say
21:51 orlok AGILE DEVOPS PUPPETMASTER!
21:51 GuShH zhanx: I can go to jail if I wear a swastika
21:52 GuShH also if I don't vote
21:52 zhanx i have yet to ever vote
21:52 GuShH heh
21:52 ace4016 zhanx, never liked the choices?
21:52 GuShH I managed not to vote until I was well into my 24
21:52 GuShH by not renewing my id
21:52 zhanx ace4016, nope
21:52 orlok but service guarantees citizenship!
21:52 zhanx my id is exp also
21:53 orlok whoops, that was just a movie.
21:53 GuShH (which was mandatory as well, but nobody could "track you down" without your updated details)
21:53 ace4016 i've voted once in the 3 elections that i've been eligable to
21:53 GuShH now I need to renew it again, change of address...
21:53 ace4016 tbh...i've never seen a good candidate
21:53 zhanx you can't post point to an drive lic that is exp'd
21:53 GuShH we still use actual envelopes... I'm a big fan of placing a slice of ham inside the envelope.
21:53 ShH
21:53 ace4016 or at least a good one that wasn't attached to crazy
21:53 zhanx ace4016, less of two evil's screw it not voting
21:54 GuShH ace4016: they're all crooks to me
21:54 zhanx GuShH, bacon would be better
21:54 ace4016 yea, but if you don't choose the crook, someone else will
21:54 GuShH bacon is often cut much thicker
21:54 GuShH I think the crooks choose themselves
21:54 GuShH they just buy the votes
21:55 ace4016 technically, if you don't like the choices, you can write-in or run yourself :D
21:55 GuShH there's hardly any difference whether you vote or not anyway
21:55 Jak_o_Shadows in australia, the choices just kinda suck.
21:55 Jak_o_Shadows they each have good policies, and aweful policies
21:55 GuShH I'd be an awesome president... but more like The Dictator.
21:56 zhanx i would be a terrible president but it would be a blast for a bit
21:56 GuShH lol
21:56 GuShH by terrible you mean a dictator?
21:56 GuShH I'd have most politicians shot.
21:57 GuShH death penalty++, make 'em think twice before they rape and kill.
21:57 GuShH a friend tends to think it's a better idea to send them to a desert island instead... isn't that like a vacation?
21:57 zhanx i would have fun with them
21:57 GuShH deserted*
21:57 GuShH jails are a big problem....
21:58 GuShH they cost a lot.
21:58 zhanx if you want to filibuster you must do it while juggling and if you drop a chainsaw you have to stop etc
21:58 GuShH I'd rather turn the jails into zoos and use the bodies of the inmates to power the heating system.
21:58 GuShH or to generate electricity...
21:59 ShH still thinks bodies are a good source of
21:59 GuShH specially americans these days
21:59 ShH
21:59 zhanx in order to pass a law, you must be affected by it etc. and it must be in plain 7th grade english
21:59 GuShH why are you guys getting so fat, just because food is cheap doesn't mean you have to stuff your face with it
21:59 zhanx GuShH, you will just die tired is all
22:00 GuShH zhanx: in some place they passed a law to ban H2O and it was done to prove how useless those guys are.
22:00 zhanx GuShH, some people just eat shit food, the price of healthy food is crazy, so most people eat food that is prepacked etc
22:00 GuShH no, the price of "organic" (bullshit green produce) is expensive
22:00 GuShH but that doesn't mean it's healthy
22:01 GuShH prepacked / frozen food isn't cheap here in fact very few people consume it
22:01 zhanx i have a garden cause i can't afford tomato's at 4 dollars a pound for non organic
22:01 zhanx GuShH, opposite here
22:01 GuShH I have a couple tomato plants
22:01 GuShH but... no tomatoes yet
22:01 GuShH and they might freeze to death if I don't cover them up soon
22:01 zhanx got tons
22:01 GuShH I think they need more sunlight
22:01 GuShH I'm not good with all this stuff...
22:01 zhanx tomatos love full sun
22:02 GuShH I can get sprouts of just about anything but they don't last long.
22:02 GuShH well, I've been clearing up dead branches and such to get as much sunlight as I can possibly get on that spot
22:02 zhanx i got food growing too fast for me to eat i can give it away but i grew up on a farm
22:02 GuShH but there's a massive tree by the neighbours that takes most of it
22:02 GuShH specially on winter
22:02 GuShH heh
22:02 zhanx what winter?
22:03 GuShH so far I haven't got anything edible
22:03 zhanx i planted in feb
22:03 zhanx started eating out of the garden in march
22:03 GuShH the soil is good, that much I know
22:03 GuShH and I have compost
22:03 GuShH all the organic waste goes into a hole
22:03 zhanx will produce till nov when the daylight gets too little
22:03 GuShH (not the most efficient way but it works)
22:03 GuShH so it must be a light issue
22:04 zhanx GuShH, add newspaper to the hole also
22:04 GuShH sawdust sometimes
22:04 GuShH from the wood lathe shavings
22:04 zhanx need more air holes than sawdust
22:04 GuShH it's not sawdust it's shavings
22:04 zhanx k
22:04 GuShH so big surface area overall
22:04 zhanx i use buckets to grow in
22:04 GuShH zhanx: thing is I don't move it around
22:05 GuShH it's just sitting in a hole
22:05 GuShH and that's why I said it's not as efficient
22:05 GuShH but I can't be arsed to compost properly
22:05 GuShH all I know is after a year or so it turned into dark rich soil
22:05 GuShH you just dig a hole, use the soil for whatever and fill it up with organic material... then cover it up, dig a new hole, repeat.
22:06 GuShH that's what my grandpa used to do instead of fooling around with compost piles (they are faster but when you've got space, why bother)
22:06 GuShH although since he also had chickens and the whole 9 yards it must've been a lot better compost
22:06 zhanx lol ok that works just takes longer
22:06 zhanx chicken poo is good compost
22:07 GuShH I've got the space for chickens ... I don't have the will to build them a coop, feed 'em... etc.. plus the smell, the smell!
22:07 GuShH no thanks.
22:07 zhanx same here no thanks
22:07 GuShH It's nice to get fresh eggs and free-ish compost, but no thanks.
22:07 zhanx effort vs eggs, i can get eggs cheap
22:08 GuShH I once had 3 chickens, would yield lots of double yolk eggs ... they were just free to roam about the yard so the smell wasn't too bad, but prior to that they were in a coop and boy that sucked
22:08 GuShH yeah I can buy eggs in bulk for cheap
22:08 GuShH and they're big ones.
22:08 zhanx always had chickens as a kid hated them
22:08 GuShH what about the rooster? heh
22:09 GuShH annoying and bossy...
22:09 zhanx beats me i was always up early etc.
22:09 GuShH they wouldn't even let you pick the eggs in fact, that's how bossy they are.
22:10 GuShH hmm on the other hand people argue the coops don't smell if they are well taken care of
22:10 GuShH I say they've got shit up their nose and they can't smell it anymore
22:10 GuShH horses are way worse...
22:10 zhanx horses i didn't mind
22:11 GuShH they piss by the bucket loads...
22:11 zhanx 20 gal buckets
22:11 GuShH It's not that I don't like animals... I don't like either the smells or having to deal with most of them
22:11 GuShH plus having a horse legally isn't cheap here
22:11 GuShH it's like a car.
22:11 zhanx it is here another bonus
22:11 GuShH they need "registration" and all
22:12 GuShH well it should be cheap here, after all we are a horse country
22:12 GuShH but who knows why it isn't cheap.
22:12 GuShH maybe it has something to do with animal abuse
22:12 GuShH driving fees up as to "prevent" that
22:13 GuShH (doesn't work, nothing a government imposes ever works other than to take your money)
22:13 zhanx true
23:29 GuShH RifRaf: is the tailstock MT2 and the headstock MT3 on this lathe?
23:29 GuShH I've found conflicting information about this...
23:29 GuShH I think people confuse the morse taper sizes
23:31 RifRaf dunno, my tailstock is outside, will go get it
23:31 GuShH RifRaf: why is everything outside?
23:32 GuShH shed?
23:32 RifRaf because i have to try keep the house in some kind of decent condition
23:32 GuShH I keep asking you because you're the only one with one of these lathes here in freenode (as far as I'm aware) heh so I'll bust your balls until I get mine
23:32 RifRaf no shed, just a covered carport
23:32 GuShH Hmm
23:32 GuShH I'd worry about humidity, condensation and rust
23:32 RifRaf ok wat do i measure, have tailstock
23:32 orlok love having a shed
23:32 RifRaf yes me too, but has been outside for years like that
23:33 GuShH I don't really have a shed at the moment heh
23:33 RifRaf i cover it with a dirty oily greasy sheet
23:33 GuShH http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_taper#Sizes
23:33 GuShH I'm thinking it's MT2
23:34 GuShH just measuring "A" is good enough to get a rough idea.
23:34 GuShH heh I've never seen an MT7
23:34 GuShH must be brutal.
23:35 RifRaf appears to b morse 2
23:35 GuShH so the headstock must be MT3
23:35 GuShH makes sense for this size lathe
23:35 GuShH cool
23:35 RifRaf k
23:35 ShH gives RifRaf a thank-you co
23:36 GuShH well no shed here, but there's a garage... problem is, it's full of crap
23:36 GuShH the closest thing I've got to a shed is the water tank tower... but it's also full of crap
23:36 zhanx only got a 5x8 shed here
23:36 GuShH it's like 2x2 meters room
23:37 GuShH 6.5x6.5 feet for ya'll
23:37 Jak_o_Shadows it's full of carp?
23:37 RifRaf yes i have a 2x2 shed, just enough for lawnmower etc
23:37 GuShH heh
23:37 RifRaf and it leaks
23:37 GuShH no, just random stuff... most of which isn't mine
23:37 GuShH and most of it is for sale
23:38 zhanx do they make dry erase paint so i can make my walls like a white board?
23:38 Jak_o_Shadows yes
23:38 RifRaf yes
23:38 GuShH I'll be the first one to draw a giant penis
23:38 zhanx sweet need to find it
23:38 GuShH they make all sorts of paints
23:38 GuShH problem is the texture
23:39 zhanx i got black board paint for the kids room already need to find it now
23:39 GuShH if the wall is too rugged, you might not be able to wipe it clean easily
23:39 GuShH heh I can't stand the texture of that
23:39 GuShH makes me shiver
23:40 fRaf scapes fingernails slowly down the blackb
23:40 GuShH yey safety valve fixed, turns out it was adjustable but it was all hidden by a "blind" cap
23:40 GuShH now need to figure out a way to hide it back, maybe with silicone?
23:40 GuShH it had a sort of mica cap
23:41 GuShH or something that behaved like mica
23:41 zhanx guess i need to sand the crap out of the wall then
23:41 GuShH crap? do you live with monkeys?
23:41 GuShH "those are some fine smear marks"
23:41 GuShH I used to draw on the walls as a kid
23:41 zhanx lol
23:41 zhanx same here but with ice cream
23:41 GuShH with permanent markers
23:42 zhanx and windows
23:42 GuShH lol
23:42 GuShH then I got into actually using screwdrivers and other tools to scribe the walls
23:42 ShH felt like an ar
23:42 zhanx some where i got a picture of me at 3 doing 4x4=15
23:42 zhanx i was not so good at math then
23:42 GuShH lol
23:43 zhanx or maybe writing
23:43 GuShH I'd blame the wall
23:43 zhanx window
23:43 GuShH can't blame a window
23:43 zhanx i still use glass to write on
23:44 GuShH why not use a tablet?
23:44 zhanx nerve damage in my left hand from boxing so i can fix my mistakes easier
23:44 GuShH RifRaf: do you keep the tailstock with an actual chuck or center installed?
23:44 GuShH I ask because even if you don't see it you might be getting some surface rust in there without one
23:45 GuShH might want to oil it and shove a piece of newspaper in the hole at least!
23:45 GuShH zhanx: I got some damage on my right hand.... wrist.
23:45 zhanx same
23:46 GuShH before you cook up a masturbation joke, I'm left handed.
23:46 zhanx got a good scar from the surgery on it
23:46 GuShH actually I'm ambidextrous for most things.
23:46 GuShH except scissors, only right hand.
23:46 zhanx i am left handed, dude stepped into my left cross as hard as he could
23:46 ShH g
23:46 zhanx scissors suck
23:46 GuShH lol
23:47 zhanx they never cut for me
23:47 GuShH you need left handed ones
23:47 zhanx they suck also
23:47 GuShH pffft
23:47 GuShH use a flame thrower then.
23:47 GuShH should work.
23:47 zhanx plasma cutter
23:47 GuShH even better!
23:47 GuShH not as portable though
23:47 zhanx wheels
23:48 GuShH turn it into a backpack and we'll talk about it.
23:48 zhanx big dog
23:48 GuShH crap I always wanted to build a flamethrower...
23:48 GuShH but I wouldn't have anywhere to test it
23:48 GuShH (safely, without ruining anything)
23:48 GuShH forget about the legal aspect.
23:49 GuShH why can't a man throw flames huh?
23:49 zhanx fire balls are better
23:50 zhanx potato gun shooting flaming balls of death!
23:51 RifRaf GuShH, yeah always have something in there
23:51 RifRaf chuck to hold drill bits generally
