00:22 GargantuaSauce i want to personally murder everyone who's worked on the tarduino ide
00:23 GargantuaSauce NO MERCY for people such as them
00:28 MrCurious whats that?
00:29 MrCurious sounds useful
00:29 MrCurious you mean this guy? https://twitter.com/TArduino
00:29 theBear what the ? yes, i agree, comedy hasn't been the same ! quit shakin me man
00:30 MrCurious thebear: do not google shake the bear...
00:30 theBear lol
00:30 theBear ok
00:30 MrCurious the internet has not been kind to me...
00:30 MrCurious it revealed its secrets without hesitation or mercy
00:30 MrCurious and i can never unsee
00:31 theBear yep, i just try to think of an endless nyancat insie my head to dull the pain :)
00:31 MrCurious there is one video involving blood and broken glass that was worse than them all...
00:32 MrCurious what do i want? temporal freedom
00:32 theBear grrr, spose i should go next door and look at the computer, i'm guessin on somehow overwrote win menu with grub, or dying caps in screen
00:32 MrCurious when do i want it? yesterday
00:32 theBear is that like womens rights ? oh, that's femdom :)
00:34 theBear nyannyannyan nyan nyanyan
00:34 MrCurious depending on the uniform you give them you can get either space traveling time nazi's or time traveling space nazi's
00:34 theBear 2nd one sounds cooler
00:34 MrCurious thinking it would make a good war having those two fight each other
00:34 MrCurious perhaps have them live on teh dark side of the moon
00:35 MrCurious oh wait... that was done already
00:35 theBear :)
00:44 MrCurious as i watch robocop 1, i think the bipedal robot with gatling gun arms has to be the coolest robot i have ever seen
01:03 theBear yeah, it's always been a pretty one
01:03 theBear i like the feet
01:03 theBear like dinomasours
15:11 Tom_itx http://www.electronicproducts.com/Sensors_and_Transducers/Sensors/Goodbye_passwords_Motorola_wants_to_secure_your_identity_with_pills_and_tattoos.aspx
15:37 GuShH theBear: booze?
17:30 theBear oh yes, booze indeed :)
17:32 theBear so... out of this pile of phones, most of them likely to never workout what happened or what might fix them, there must be a bunch of fancy stuff.... what's yer average phone gyro or similar sensor look like these days ? is it salvagable to play with, or just another stupid square chip with some invisible pins i don't understand
17:32 theBear fixed a s2 yesterday, couple hints what to check from little-indian-repair-ninja kinda sites, tiny tiny tiny maybe .8*1.6mm cap was short
17:33 theBear easy to test, easy to remove, easy to find a replacement, but dagnab ! it was hard to solder in with my 1.6mm solder and regular iron :)
20:40 GuShH theBear: average gyro looks like a tiny bga package
20:40 GuShH so tiny square heh
20:49 zhanx evening
21:01 MrCurious when you design a system (high level) what tools do you use to shuffle the ideas around into a plan of action?
21:01 MrCurious never hurts to be humble enough to see if someone has a better method than i do
21:01 GuShH Whiskey
21:01 MrCurious survey says....
21:01 MrCurious #2
21:03 MrCurious would think there should be a tool that lets you specify top level components, then burrow into them and specify next level sub components, then so on until you specify interfaces
21:12 GargantuaSauce_ there are, they are big and bloated and enterprisey and expensive though
21:12 GargantuaSauce_ i just use google docs or paper
21:13 MrCurious so basically do an outline, and grow it out
21:13 MrCurious survey says
21:13 MrCurious #1
21:13 GargantuaSauce_ lately ive been considering doing something really retarded like making a fedora repository for all my stuff
21:14 GargantuaSauce_ would work fairly well for cramming mixed media into one place
21:14 GargantuaSauce_ but on the other hand it's a java and xml monstrosity and i've sworn to avoid those
21:15 MrCurious any reason a NAS wouldnt be the answer there?
21:15 MrCurious or are you proposing a key value store for media files
21:15 GargantuaSauce_ it's more than a key value store
21:15 MrCurious i think i know just what you need....
21:15 MrCurious you want itunes + nas + mac + a apple tv
21:15 GargantuaSauce_ it has 'objects' with arbitrary relations and multiple datastreams
21:15 MrCurious to serve all your media needs
21:15 GargantuaSauce_ i'd be running it on my nas most likely, or just using it for storage
21:16 GargantuaSauce_ i'd rather kill myself than use apple software
