06:04 theBear i wonder.... if you take inverted pendulum maths from 2d to 3d, can you just do the same maths on 2 planes and combine the results ? might be kinda cool to make a any-direction magic-wheel balancer that balanced a beachball on its nose, like a stunt-dolphin

06:08 theBear yeah, at least yer started with a 'real' pid, much easier to tune than starting with a simple 'dumb' algortithm and trying to upgrade as you go

06:14 theBear got one of those old nokia cables stashed somewhere too, with a ft2323 in it, that's probly handy for a usb programmer, or at least general handy thing... i dunno, can you make a usbtiny-esque thing with a non-usb avr ?

07:27 theBear yeah, i'm just partway thru rewiring it, long story, in summation, apart from the other software/bios related issues, this machine is several years newer than any fo my psus :)
07:27 theBear i got one that definately works, just gotta take off the old 6pin p4 connector and put a +4pin bit on the 20pin atx
07:28 theBear maybe slow down the fans a bit too, it's a semi normal size dual hotswappable redundant sucker, 2*40mm fans per unit, and they run FAST ! i'm sure it doesn't need that much, at least not all the time
