00:09 dunz0r Did a gif of the assemlby of my latest bot: http://hax0r.se/files/img/robot/Perfected_Titan/Timelapse_assembly.gif
00:25 Rif dunz0r cool, do all the electronics work already?
00:25 dunz0r Rif: Yup :)
00:25 dunz0r I think I'll add an extra sensor in the back though.
00:26 Rif nice to see a homemade pcb, been ages since i made me own
00:27 MrCurious impressive work
00:27 MrCurious and timelapse is a cool idea
00:28 Rif MrCurious did you clean up the cats mess yet so you can take pics?
00:30 Curious hangs his
00:30 MrCurious there are 9 of them
00:30 MrCurious i have a todo item to make a photo box
00:30 MrCurious so i can take shame free pictures
00:31 MrCurious i took it apart today anyway. had to replace some parts with better parts
00:35 Rif heh 9 cats must be crazy
00:38 MrCurious not so much. most of them carry a static charge that repels them form other cats, so they maintain a low energy state of distance
00:41 Rif yay, knock off time
00:41 MrCurious pro tip: if you relocate a litter box, simple vacuuming is not enough to alert the cat to the change....
01:53 RifRaf maybe i can use these 1200rpm motors for a balancing bot, they still have a fair bit of torque at 120rpm
02:03 RifRaf Triffid_Hunter, you around?
02:04 RifRaf or anyone have any idea why the current and voltage output from motor driver would be so wild?, http://pastebin.com/DQRKGErb
02:05 RifRaf is supposed to be an analogue output, in this case the motors were both spinning without load at maybe 15% speed
02:08 RifRaf that was at 7 odd volts in, i doubled the voltage to 14 and the volts has about doubled, http://pastebin.com/uZ7Q81r1
02:08 RifRaf the driver is 15V max, so it does seem to be working i guess, will have to get average some a few samples i guess
02:10 Kostas23 Hello guys... I have to choose an autonomous robot and make a small pressentation on how it works, what are his specification etc. Can you suggest any? I prefer a robot with wheels no humandroids
02:11 orlok Kostas23: www.letsmakerobots.com has a "start here" robot
02:11 orlok oh, you mean take an existing robot and describe it?
02:13 Kostas23 yes
05:18 RifRaf am so glad i have 20A+ drivers for these 2 amp motors
05:19 RifRaf is amazing how much extra current is used when going backwards and forward really fast
05:19 RifRaf but seems these motors might be capable of the balancing task
05:20 RifRaf still need to now work out how to turn me servo code into code for these dc motors
05:23 Jak_o_Shadows1 20A drivers? Pre-built, or did you build em from parts?
05:25 RifRaf pre-built
05:26 RifRaf about $20 each, and worth every cent so far
05:26 Jak_o_Shadows1 link?
05:28 RifRaf http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-50A-Single-H-bridge-motor-driver-module-PID-Arduino-intelligent-car-/300722330780
06:02 RifRaf Jak_o_Android1, on the bot http://imagebin.org/252502
06:03 RifRaf the heatsinks go through the frame and poke out the other side
06:24 Jak_o_Shadows1 yeah, those are some decent heatsinks
19:09 iscsinoob http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-8-SPI-TFT-LCD-Serial-Module-Display-PCB-ADAPTER-with-SD-Socket-/140914772536?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20cf2cca38
19:09 iscsinoob damn
19:10 Rif looks neat though
19:11 iscsinoob cheaper if you get from china but you have to wait an age
19:45 Rif have you used the lcd screen before?
19:45 iscsinoob no and later
19:45 iscsinoob time for home
19:45 iscsinoob been here late at work doing hd recovery
19:46 home bye
19:46 home remember me :0
20:45 Rif home what were you making?
20:46 home what am I making
20:46 home A robot
20:46 home thats what
20:46 Rif whats does it do?
20:47 home It uses vision tracking to determine if a person is dead or not
20:47 home basically, it can check yo pulse
20:49 Rif very good, you expecting people to drop dead around you?
20:50 home 0_0
20:50 Tom_itx good for care homes
20:50 home its still a work in progress
