01:32 rue_house thats cause you didn't ask for the rest of the circuit
01:32 rue_house :)
01:33 rue_house I'm off to bed now
01:33 RifRaf will just stick with the lm358
01:33 rue_house ok
01:33 RifRaf well i googled and found schems
01:33 RifRaf cya
02:12 Ademan RifRaf: I believe you showed me a servo testing circuit. Somehow I managed to NOT save it... do you have it handy still?
02:15 RifRaf will be able to repost
02:17 Ademan thanks. Due to my limited number of breadboards I had to disassemble it, and due to my limited number of brain cells, I'm unable to reconstruct it ;-)
02:17 Ademan I do need to finish grok-ing the circuit...
02:17 RifRaf http://imagebin.org/250829
02:22 Ademan RifRaf: thanks!
03:40 Tom_itx Casper, no i got it free
03:40 Tom_itx no shipping
03:41 Tom_itx it was removed to install a larger one for somebody
05:03 RifRaf how could i change a variable voltage of 2.5V to 4.5V, to a variable voltage of 0V to 2V?
05:04 RifRaf like take 2.5V away from it for adc input
05:32 dunz0r RifRaf: Hmmm. Voltage divider?
05:37 GuShH RifRaf: sampling ac or dc?
05:44 SorcererX on a related note, what would I use if I wanted to feed a 24 V trigger signal (essentially 15-24V is "ON" and <5V is off) using some 3.3V or 5V logic?
05:44 GuShH SorcererX: transistor
05:45 GuShH two if you don't want the signal inverted.
05:45 GuShH common ground...
05:46 SorcererX GuShH: seems sensible, does not matter if the signal is inverted
05:47 GuShH single transistor will do then
05:47 GuShH you can of course invert your source signal to account for the transistor (if software is involved, it's rather trivial)
05:49 SorcererX yeah, it is not a problem, I can invert it in software, and also the cameras that take the trigger signal supports inverted signals :)
05:49 GuShH yum
05:50 GuShH I wonder if RifRaf will come back... I had an opamp idea..
05:55 GuShH god damnit something got inside my Z key and now it's hard to press...
08:38 Casper oh yeah need to contact meanwell, they might have one... but I think it's unregulated output... and 80% and non-power factor corrected
09:35 GuShH Casper: huh?
09:35 GuShH random psu rambling?
09:53 GuShH theBear: the last trip from the bike club just a couple days ago 1800KM trip in two days... https://plus.google.com/photos/108769898726994910376/albums/5857054365394955265?authkey=COm-7_KIhszAuAE too bad I wasn't there :( what a nice place to go, minus the "hotel" they went to, what a shit place to go... haha
09:54 GuShH Gotta love those new Ninjas and the Vstrom, too bad I'll probably never be able to afford one of those.
09:55 GuShH I can't believe they paid for those accommodations, what a ripoff...
09:55 GuShH it's a camping club, but they have these "huts" you can rent, and they're like dog kennels.
09:57 ShH shi
09:58 GuShH 240 usd per day, per hut. complete ripoff. If you split it between 4 it's still a ripoff. I'd rather use a tent.
14:29 RifRaf its a current sensor putting out DC volts, 2.5V is 0A, might just have to use adc vref of 5V again
14:30 RifRaf rue_house, it would be a nice sensor for your robot, as it does -50 to +50 amp, ac or dc
17:45 Tom_itx RifRaf what are you using it for?
19:07 jennie Hello
19:35 Tom_itx hi
19:37 jennie 'hi Tom_itx
20:26 rue_house Rif, buddy III is out of budget, I have to use what I have
21:49 Rif rue_house is your time worth nothing at all?
21:51 Rif life is too short to reinvent every wheel imho
22:56 rue_house Rif, your goals are different than mine, I learn a LOT in my journey
22:56 e_house snickers like how to program in
22:57 rue_house I got one printer completely stripped down, 4 more big ones left
23:17 Gargantuasauce_ >like how to program in C
23:17 Gargantuasauce_ zing!
23:18 Gargantuasauce_ i wish i had a bunch of printers to cannibalize
