02:15 theBear telstra branded ? wtf are they doing with media players
02:28 Jak_o_Shadows Telstra T-Box! Rent movies from Bigpond Movies! Basically because netflix isnt' in australia
02:29 Jak_o_Shadows The 4 blobs above the battery: http://www.imagebam.com/image/e620e989056352 and http://www.imagebam.com/image/dec9fd89056304
02:29 theBear meh, and i know, i'm local
02:31 theBear mmm, nice finish
02:32 theBear what's the tuner for ?
02:32 Jak_o_Shadows DTV, and analogue.
02:32 Jak_o_Shadows haven't connected that tbh, i have a tv for that.
02:33 Jak_o_Shadows I had to pull the wifi adaptor out of it and onto a usb extension cord for it to wokr
02:35 theBear interesting... does it digitalise it for yer, or you still gotta plug something in locally ?
02:35 Jak_o_Shadows I connect it to the tv using a hdmi cable, so yes?
02:36 theBear mmm
02:38 Jak_o_Shadows If all else fails, i got a free WD 320GB 2.5" sata hdd
02:41 Jak_o_Shadows also, in the first image (http://www.imagebam.com/image/e620e989056352), there is a little black header towards the bottom. It says "con1"
02:46 Jak_o_Shadows I vastly lack the skillset to do do anything with it :{
02:58 Jak_o_Shadows i think i'll do a portscan.
02:58 Jak_o_Shadows If i can get linux on this thing, somehow, it'd make a great robot brain.
02:59 Jak_o_Shadows Only uses 12V, 1.5A
03:37 theBear what processor ?
03:41 Jak_o_Shadows Not sure.
03:41 Jak_o_Shadows Got distracted, was about to do a port scan
03:41 theBear oh, it was under a heatsink or something yeah
03:42 Jak_o_Shadows Yeah. I got distracted because the wifi dongle is a ralink one, which means it works with my tv, possibly
04:32 Jak_o_Shadows The T-box has ssh open on port 22
04:32 Jak_o_Shadows But it wants a key
04:39 Jak_o_Shadows http://www.netgem.com/pdf/ProductSheet-N8000-series.pdf the info, with cpu and stuff
04:40 Jak_o_Shadows you know, before telstra butchered it
05:35 sw0rdfish hmmmmmmm
05:35 sw0rdfish iran says they built a stealth fighter jet...
05:36 moriarty they should probably follow china's footsteps
05:36 moriarty and step up their game in cyberwarfare and space arms race domination
05:36 sw0rdfish quicker than the chinese and russians! damn... I guess it really does make a difference if you're in imminent danger of war
05:36 moriarty that's probably going to give you the most bang for your buck
05:37 moriarty than some measly stealth fighter jet
05:37 sw0rdfish china and russia still didn't complete their stealth fighter jet programs
05:37 moriarty lol air superiority still belongs to the States and Western Europe
05:37 moriarty their Achilles' heel lies in cyberwarfare and space domination
05:38 moriarty gone are the days when warfare was fought on such clearly delineated lines
05:38 moriarty i think terrorism has shown as much
05:39 sw0rdfish you're placing the bet on the F-22?
05:39 moriarty nope
05:39 moriarty i think you do the 80/20 principle
05:39 sw0rdfish oh
05:39 moriarty where can i put my money's worth on the things that make the biggest impact in terms of weakening my enemy's defense
05:39 moriarty and then you realise it's not going to be a stealth fighter
05:39 sw0rdfish I see.
05:40 moriarty a cruise missile alone costs a million a pop
05:40 moriarty things like an ICBM shield is just ludicrous
05:41 moriarty Europe has pretty much exhausted most of its weaponries in its fight in Libya
05:53 sw0rdfish :O
14:50 rue_house I need breakfast and lunch
18:57 MrTrick sw0rdfish: "I built a stealth fighter!" "Okay, show us then?" "Sure! ... damn, I left it around here somewwhere..."
19:02 sw0rdfish MrTrick, lol
19:06 MrTrick If I was some kind of military researcher, I'd look at building UAV swarms - a couple of HUNDRED planes per swarm with mesh networking and a load-balancing comms system (so maybe one in ten planes has an uplink) Fit each plane with some high-explosive, and figure out how to make the control system semi-autonomous, and latency and fault tolerant.
19:07 MrTrick (oblig) Muahaha...
19:26 rue_shop2 heh
19:30 RifRaf rue did you do anything with the distance sensor?
19:39 rue_house yes, I toyed with it on the scope
19:43 orlok rue_house: hey!
19:44 orlok collected a ute load of free firewood the other day
19:44 orlok the house has a fully enclosed fan forced woodheater
19:45 orlok heat exchanger based thing
19:45 orlok so no smoke inside, just hot air
19:49 Tom_itx orlok, you gettin settled in finally?
19:49 rue_house http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZv0et2Ixa4&list=UUPqhe-f22nx8XkLW-CysxQw&index=1
19:49 sw0rdfish hmmmmm
19:49 rue_house Tom_itx, ;)
19:50 Tom_itx i recognize part of that
20:05 RifRaf cool rue
