00:16 rue_shop3 damn, I should have load checked the circuit before I made it, I get -1V under 'load'
00:28 rue_mohr I suppose I should hook up a -12V src and see just how much its trying to pull

01:21 rue_mohr damn, how much am I allowed to spend on a robot controller?
01:47 rue_bed gravity
01:48 rue_bed monopolar force
01:48 rue_bed interestingly enough one that pushes and pulls

19:10 toxicFork let's say I have a robot and it's on a 2d plane, and the robot can do a scan with a limited radius. Would a spiral pattern like this be a way of scanning the environment: http://jsfiddle.net/toxicFork/JR5u6/5/ ?
19:11 toxicFork I can see that it's covering a lot of the area and it's expanding, but I couldn't find many papers on "2d plane exploration" :(
19:11 toxicFork i'll take a screenshot for people with old browsers
20:14 Skwint toxicFork, if the 2D plane contains obstacles the spiral will have to adapt for them
20:14 Skwint and if it doesn't contain obstacles I'm not sure what you expect to find by exploring it
20:16 Skwint since the 2D plane is likely to be, say, the inside of a house, attempting to do a spiral which passes through 3 rooms as it grows would be ridiculous - better to do each room in turn
20:18 Skwint I am not in any way an expert at this - I think a lot of robots out there walk around at random - if you are building a map as you explore then my inclination would be to always move towards the unexplored region which has the shortest route
20:18 Skwint this would begin with a straight line till it reached an obstacle :)
21:03 toxicFork [02:02:31] <Skwint> and if it doesn't contain obstacles I'm not sure what you expect to find by exploring it
21:03 toxicFork it has resources which do not collide
21:04 toxicFork and scan reveals them
21:04 toxicFork like, underground minerals!
21:04 toxicFork this world is a simulated one, and it's endless (a "flat" planet)
21:04 toxicFork so I can't go until it hits an obstacle as there aren't any :P
21:05 toxicFork oh skwint is disconnected
21:05 toxicFork oh well!
22:12 rue_mohr goodnight
22:14 Tom_itx oh yeah?
