21:10 anannie home: Well I used to be quite interested in Lego NXT and I want to start getting back into building things through it. Not only do I want to program it I want to build beautiful things out of it as well

21:20 anannie I've seen Hassenplug's work and I'm not sure if I'll ever be that good (I'm not that smart) but I really want to push myself and see everything I can do when it comes to this. Lego is amazing

21:44 anannie I don't intend to restrict myself to Lego, in fact I plan to design and build industrial machines in the foreseeable future and I'm very much at home ;) with the idea of using aluminium. I just want to get back into building things through Lego, because it's a cheap way to go about it

22:42 brownies i may start a little robotics side-project soon, but i've got to learn basically *all* the hardware-related things =P
22:43 ananna I recommend Lego for that, it's how I started when I was 11
22:44 ananna it gave me an intuition for what existed
22:44 ananna and you don't need to use the NXT brick for everything
22:44 ananna you can replace it with arduino and program the thing in Ruby
22:46 ananna then move on to raw materials
