20:05 Centauri FreezingCold: Yes, you should clean off the slag to lay another bead, but its always cleaned off, or it flakes off and you have a mess eventually

20:08 Centauri As far as buffing doing anything to the weld, no.. as long as you dont undercut the base metal, and make it thinner than it was, you can even grind a weld smooth (thats what they do for the certification)
