11:19 sw0rdfish damn the admins here must either have join/quit messages hidden or their patience runs very thick with join/quit flooding
11:22 Centauri heh, doesnt seem excessive in here
12:23 Tom_itx buggin ya?
12:24 Tom_itx not much gets said or it wouldn't seem like alot
12:25 Centauri Yeah, been quiet since last night, but it seems to go like that. I imagine today will be real quiet
12:27 ace4016 it's usually quiet
12:27 ace4016 robots are hard
12:28 Centauri heh, they can be, I know I;ve learned a lot in the last 6 months
12:29 Centauri the biggest lesson is that flat surfaces are very "stealthy" to ultrasonic ;)
12:30 ace4016 only if you have fixed sensors :P
12:30 ace4016 or a really simple use of ultrasonic waves
12:31 Centauri Its mounted on a servo to swing.. but at glacing angles.. it "skips off" and the ping doesnt return
12:31 ace4016 hehe
12:31 Centauri it does OK, but not reliable enough, depending on the obstacles
12:32 Centauri I dont know how many times the bot has come up to the beer fridge at an angle, and runs into it (I dont have bumper sensors yet) - Bot-I did, so I am adding more stuff and checking all the various
12:34 Centauri I have some Sharp IR distance sensors coming, and those are next to play with on this front. and if I *must* I'll build bumpers for bot-II if those cant reliably see thing in front of him (or near to the front)
15:55 sw0rdfish heh, ya, thank gawd I started to hide those join/quit messages now...
15:57 sw0rdfish its tobbor that mostly quits every now and then after connecting with the same message every time... * tobbor has quit (Changing host)
19:25 rue_mohr sw0rdfish-lp, because of freenode splits and alienations, tobbor rejoins every 4 hours
19:26 Tom_itx day off?
19:29 rue_mohr tommorow
19:31 KimLaroux So rue_mohr, what did you receive today?
19:33 rue_mohr 15 3mm green leds, and 2 1x40 female header strips
19:33 rue_mohr the seller keeps bundling things
19:34 Tom_itx gettin alot of dollar stuff from the same place?
19:34 rue_mohr so I try not to buy from the same one within 3 days
19:34 rue_mohr yea,
19:34 rue_mohr thaishopetc
19:35 rue_mohr lots of electronic goodies, between ok and awesome prices
19:35 Tom_itx i should hook up a 4 x 20 lcd but i honestly forgot how my little supply to them worked
19:36 rue_mohr I'd eagle you a bias supply but I'm asleep
19:36 rue_mohr on the Z80 computer I made I used a 3V AA pack
19:36 rue_mohr you could use a CR2032
19:37 Tom_itx you don't seem asleep
19:37 Tom_itx i could pull the whole thing off my bot too
20:03 Jak_o_Shadows I'd love to do that xkcd thing, $365 for 365 items, automated
20:03 Jak_o_Shadows perhaps do it in a category though
20:07 KimLaroux my thoughts exactly ;)
20:07 KimLaroux though doing it in everything might be a good lol
20:19 rue_mohr Tom_itx, , what comes up when yo scroll
20:19 rue_mohr Jak_o_Shadows, preselect everythign
20:19 rue_mohr thats half the fun
20:20 rue_mohr I can tell you what you will get if you dont
20:20 rue_mohr LOTS of:
20:20 rue_mohr screen protectors
20:20 rue_mohr touchscreen pens
20:20 rue_mohr iphone port fillers
20:20 rue_mohr and earbuds
20:21 rue_mohr you will also get the ocasional thing that costs $22
20:21 rue_mohr cause of trickey listings
20:21 rue_mohr and things for wrapping sire on
20:21 Jak_o_Shadows I was thinking about doing it in a specific category or bunch of stores
20:22 Jak_o_Shadows That way you have a rough idea of what you'll get
20:22 rue_mohr peopel in china who list things dont know much about what something is, so the catagory is basically random
20:26 Tom_itx rue_mohr
20:26 Tom_itx there's a pdf in marlin directory showing the menu
20:27 rue_mohr oh
20:33 rue_mohr Tom_itx, what tutorials do you have on pwm?
20:34 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/how_to/atmega168/mega168_pwm_index.php
20:34 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/how_to/atmega168/coming_soon_index.php
20:34 Tom_itx woops
20:34 rue_mohr hahah for how many years now
20:34 Tom_itx soon
20:35 rue_mohr you posted something with soem waveforms that was reasonably complete
20:35 Tom_itx i did?
20:35 rue_mohr within the last week
20:36 rue_mohr I think it was a repost of someones something
20:36 rue_mohr it included waveform for phase correct pwm
20:37 Tom_itx http://tom-itx.dyndns.org:81/~webpage/abcminiuser/articles/avr_timers_index.php
20:37 Tom_itx part 9
20:38 rue_mohr thats it, I think it needs more diagrams
20:38 Tom_itx it's not mine
20:38 rue_mohr did you repost of modify
20:39 Tom_itx should be current
20:40 rue_mohr but did you modify it?
20:40 rue_mohr http://eds.dyndns.org/~ircjunk/tutorials/elex/pwm/pwm.html
20:40 Tom_itx http://www.fourwalledcubicle.com/AVRArticles.php
20:40 rue_mohr oddly enough that seems to be my latest post on the subject
20:40 rue_mohr dangerous without a fet article
20:42 rue_mohr http://eds.dyndns.org/~ircjunk/tutorials/elex/hobbyservo/servo101.html
20:42 rue_mohr had didn't bite on that one
20:45 Tom_itx dammit i can't find the schematics to these boards
20:46 rue_mohr c:/files/Projects/~
20:47 rue_mohr or maybe its on the fileserver
20:47 rue_mohr f:/Projects/~
22:23 Tom_itx ok i found a dual 7660 board and most of the parts so that's all soldered up now
22:23 rue_bed :)
22:24 Tom_itx had to take apart my bot to figure the board out though
22:24 Tom_itx i found a few forgotten parts while diggin though
22:25 Tom_itx and another 4 x 20 lcd i forgot about
22:26 Tom_itx seems a good place to stop
22:31 Tom_itx now if i could find someone with a quadrature rotary switch to send me...
