17:37 Ademan http://i.imgur.com/KiiJw.png Hopefully this is legible, I think the BG is transparent. Assuming it is, can anyone suggest how to couple rotation of the servo to the M8 bolt? It seems like I could attach a pulley, or chain, or gearing, but there's no escaping using a set screw to hold it onto the threaded end of the M8 bolt huh?

21:18 Ademan Triffid_Hunter: Makes sense. Can I safely melt a nylock into a nut trap though? (The bolt head is going to be trapped as well)

21:20 Ademan I had to heat my hobbed bolt to get it to fit into the nut trap on my Greg's gears. Dunno if the cupcake I was using just sucked though, I guess that could have been part of it

21:22 Triffid_Hunter Ademan: hint: in openscad, use cylinder(r=13 / 2 / cos(180 / 6) + 0.05, $fn=6) for your M8 nut trap, if your printer is well calibrated it'll fit perfectly

21:25 Ademan I really need to bring the project back to my house so I can work on it more frequently, currently it's a 20 minute drive and ~30 minutes of setup overhead just to start working on it
