08:01 AM lcnc-relay: <snitty@> Good morning.
08:08 AM * JT-Cave gives up trying to use a rip of master just too much dependency hell
09:58 AM * JT-Shop wonders why for the last few years there have been millions of bug fixes for emc...
10:02 AM JT-Shop: are they just introducing bug after bug?
10:04 AM Tom_L: seems they're not quite as careful as they used to be
10:29 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> JT-Shop: I think there used to be more review of stuff prior to pushing it.
10:29 AM JT-Shop: yup
10:31 AM Tom_L: is it true linuxcnc dropped out of mainstream?
10:32 AM Tom_L: google ai says it's still in
10:32 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> I think it is still in.
10:33 AM Tom_L: i thought it was on the chopping block there for a bit
10:35 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> JT-Shop: on my ride Wednesday, I was behind a nice Vette at a light.... I think it was a late 60's or early 70's. could sorta tell by the bumpers... very nice, black, good condition, a real rumbler.
10:47 AM C3-Shop: yup 68-72 had chrome bumpers
10:47 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> It had those
10:48 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> it was really nide
10:48 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> nice
10:57 AM JT-Shop: usually nice looking older corvettes have had a frame off restoration
10:59 AM bjorkintosh: you know what I don't understand (speaking of ancient cars)... '55 thunderbird carburetors.
10:59 AM bjorkintosh: why are they so crappy?
11:03 AM Tom_L: ai has an answer
11:04 AM Tom_L: their complexity, susceptibility to fouling, and the tendency for their rubber components to degrade over time
11:04 AM Tom_L: especially the holley 4000
11:11 AM Tom_L: in 50 yrs will there be discussions of how cool my old '25 electric car was?
11:11 AM bjorkintosh: hahah. if it still exists.
11:14 AM lcnc-relay: <roguish> Tom_L: very doubtful
11:14 AM * JT-Shop takes a break for a nap and the distributor clamp search resumes
11:43 AM xxcoder: "I miss days when evs dont beam ads to your eyes while I drive"
11:45 AM xxcoder: good morning
11:48 AM xxcoder: woke up to cold home lol. 62f. I forgot to turn off ac and turn small heater on before going to bed
12:06 PM Unterhaus_ is now known as Unterhausen
12:06 PM Unterhausen: I guess web developers are using an adblocker detector that doesn't like privacy badger
12:06 PM Unterhausen: never thought that was an ad blocker, it's more of a malware blocker
12:50 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> we had an international dumptruck with a 400somethingCI engine.. holly 4 barrel. When we go the truck - it ran but used a crazy amount of fuel. Finally overhauled it and boy.. I think everything was plugged and the seals were all bad.
12:50 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> after the overhaul - it ran really nice.
12:52 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> I guess the 42 has been running nice after the rochester carb overhaul..
12:53 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> pump the accelerator once - starts right up
12:55 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841@> still needs a pedal.. driving it by pusing on the shaft sticking through the hole in the floor board..
01:17 PM infornography: is there a pendant that is pug and play with linux cnc?
01:24 PM JT-Shop: https://mesaus.com/product/7i73/
01:25 PM JT-Shop: that's about as plug and play you can get if you have a Mesa board with a Smart Serial port
