07:57 PM ManMower: really dumb question... I have a 7i76e and only 3 axes. pncconf lets me turn off the unused axes and use them as gpio - does doing that work out of the box, or must I flash altered firmware for that?

08:36 PM roycroft: this is becoming my mantra, but it took much longer than anticipated, because of complications, because my shop is still fairly disorganized, and because i'm getting older and still have not come to terms with my inability to work as fast as when i was a kid
