09:13 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:13 AM lcnc-relay: <Travis Farmer> a lot of miles for an old duffer 😉
09:13 AM JT-Cave: I need to shut the laptop down it's going nuts
09:13 AM JT-Cave: you got that right
09:15 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:16 AM lcnc-relay: <Travis Farmer> sold my truck, bought a bike... and a cheap car (i just could not handle not having a vehicle)
09:18 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:21 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> 🏎️ 🚵 zoom
09:21 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:22 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> life is next to impossible without a car in US outside of most cities, the plan worked
09:24 AM roycroft: the current xkcd is one of the best ever
09:43 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> why come whenever I need some sort of operation performed on metals it ends up that I can build a custom machine for about the same price as the quotes for the service?
09:44 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
09:44 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> I think that ball screw repair services are just fronts for ball screw sales of new screws
09:47 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> http://ehwadia.com/portfolio-items/rotary-dresser-for-ball-screw/
09:50 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> https://youtu.be/CoO1kakF6jQ?si=baKnor4gBj_Stbrx Bridgeport as a part support 🙂
09:51 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> so that's what you do when the heads are shot
09:52 AM roycroft: captainhindsight_.: how do you think those services pay for their own custom machines?
09:58 AM lcnc-relay: <captainhindsight_.> after talking to a few they didn't make them, they inherited them, dad was the sharp one
10:19 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram> Hello
10:20 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram> Another dumb question : is it possible to create a pcb which is able to communicate with Mesa cards?
10:20 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram> I saw talla83 created a custom pcb connected to sserial
10:20 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram> So this should be possible
10:21 AM lcnc-relay: <perry_j1987> hey guys morning
10:21 AM roycroft: almost anything is possible
10:22 AM roycroft: whether it's practical or not is another matter, but i shouldn't think it would be too difficult to do that
10:23 AM JT-Shop: upgrade freaking hell emc wants BWidget 1.7 and now debian 12 has 1.9
10:24 AM JT-Shop: such stupid shit to specify a version and not a min version
10:25 AM turboss_z80: that reminds me to check if blt sbuild still broken :/
10:26 AM * JT-Shop wanders through his notes to finger out how to get the serial port on board
10:27 AM CaptHindsight: vibram: what do YOU mean by communicate?
10:28 AM CaptHindsight: Mesa cards have ports to access registers such as Ethernet, PCIe, SPI that off the shelf computers also have
10:40 AM * roycroft was figuring this was about making a daughter board
10:42 AM roycroft: lauren boebert is praising the lousiana law requiring that the ten commandments be posted in all scholl classrooms, because she thinks that america needs to be taught morality
10:42 AM roycroft: except in cinemas, i guess
10:42 AM lcnc-relay: <vibram> Yet I have a 7i96s and a 7i73
10:42 AM lcnc-relay: I wanted to know if I can create a specific cards better suited to my needs replacing the 7i73.
10:42 AM lcnc-relay: I already developed several pcb but I'm not familiar with the mesa world
10:43 AM CaptHindsight: I don't know if you can, I just met you here a few minutes ago
10:44 AM * roycroft said it's possible, but did not say that the poster would be able to do so :)
10:44 AM CaptHindsight: roycroft: it's like a Python skit that has gone off the rails and refuses to stop in real life
10:45 AM CaptHindsight: they are completely incoherent
10:45 AM CaptHindsight: Splung
10:46 AM CaptHindsight: or is it with an e Splunge
10:46 AM roycroft: it's splunge
10:46 AM CaptHindsight: I like it
10:47 AM CaptHindsight: mad mama dog face in the banana patch
10:47 AM roycroft: meaning "it's a great idea but possibly not but i'm not being indecisive"
10:47 AM roycroft: importantly, it does not mean "number 2s"
10:49 AM roycroft: scotus just upheld a law banning domestic abusers from owning/posessing firearms
10:49 AM CaptHindsight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40K6rApRnhQ
10:49 AM roycroft: 8-1
10:49 AM CaptHindsight: has come to life
10:49 AM roycroft: with justice winnebago being the sole dissenter
11:20 AM pcw-home: vibram: talla23 on YT has a 7I73 like replacement card
11:59 AM Tom_L: wow, ordered a spare parport cable last night and it arrived this morning
11:59 AM Tom_L: ribbon
12:01 PM roycroft: i'll be finding out about mail delivery here better today and this weekend
12:01 PM roycroft: i have multiple parcels due to arrive, including one that is due today, and they all appear to not be arriving on time
12:01 PM Tom_L: amazon must have had one in their local dist center because they said i could pick it up this morning as an option too
12:03 PM roycroft: i need those loading ramps for my pickup this weekend so i broke down and finally signed up for a trial of amazon prime
12:03 PM roycroft: they are due to be delivered tomorrow
12:03 PM roycroft: if they are not delivered then, my amazon prime trial will be very short-lived
12:27 PM Tom_L: for the most part it's been worth it for us and they like some of the prime shows
12:29 PM Tom_L: roycroft, any lag is usually due to the shipper they choose
12:29 PM Tom_L: alot of mine are early
12:29 PM roycroft: sure
12:30 PM roycroft: but if they choose slow shippers then i'm still not getting the promised vlue
12:30 PM roycroft: value
12:30 PM Tom_L: the pc box i got initially was due in today but they updated it to last tuesday and finally delivered it wednesday
12:31 PM roycroft: that's something they need to figure out - they don't promise "two day delivery if the shipper we chose delivers it as fast as we think they should"
12:31 PM roycroft: they promise two day delivery
12:31 PM Tom_L: i don't recall being promised anything on that one
12:31 PM roycroft: they've been sending me emails for years saying "upgrade to prime and get free two day shipping", amongst other perks
12:32 PM Tom_L: storms can affect things too especially winter
12:32 PM roycroft: i'm more understanding of acts of nature getting in the way
12:33 PM Tom_L: their on time batting average is better than USPS
12:33 PM Tom_L: even considering they use them for some deliveries
12:33 PM roycroft: amazon send almost everything to me via usps
12:34 PM Tom_L: we have a huge distribution center here
12:34 PM Tom_L: maybe more than one
12:34 PM roycroft: and my local carrier still does not like delivering mail to me, and uses any and every excuse not to
12:35 PM roycroft: she's a contractor, not a usps employee, and allegedly related to the squatter who used to live in my house and who got removed from the house months before i ever looked at it
12:35 PM Tom_L: that sounds like more a personal issue between you him and the previous home owner
12:35 PM roycroft: and allegedly does not like that
12:35 PM roycroft: it has nothing to do with me whatsoever
12:35 PM Tom_L: you were next in line
12:36 PM roycroft: the contractor should be fired
12:36 PM Tom_L: absolutely
12:36 PM CaptHindsight: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" HAH!
12:36 PM roycroft: and i have complained to the post office, but they don't seem to care
12:36 PM roycroft: first class mail is being delivered pretty regularly now
12:36 PM roycroft: but parcels never arrive
12:36 PM roycroft: nor are notices left
12:36 PM CaptHindsight: where do they end up?
12:37 PM roycroft: at the post office
12:37 PM roycroft: i have to check the status of every parcel online, and when i see "delivery attempted" i have to go to the post office to pick it up
12:37 PM Tom_L: good thing for tracking
12:37 PM roycroft: but no delivery is ever attempted
12:37 PM roycroft: and no notice ever left
12:37 PM CaptHindsight: yeah so just assholes
12:37 PM roycroft: yes
12:38 PM roycroft: allegely the carrier is upset because the former squatter is trying to use my address for mail delivery
12:38 PM xxcoder: thats weird target to be angry at. like driver that was involved in accient angry at someone who was sitting on yard by the road and not other driver
12:38 PM CaptHindsight: we used to not put up with them, now we elect them to congress
12:38 PM roycroft: and i've had the post office refuse to deliver mail that is not addressed to me or one of my businesses
12:38 PM roycroft: the squatter is allegedly a relative of the contract mail delivery person
12:39 PM roycroft: that does not justify the behavior of the contractor at all
12:39 PM CaptHindsight: no screening for personality disorders for the mail carrier position it seems
12:39 PM roycroft: but offers a bit of possible insight
12:39 PM xxcoder: and youre still completely unrelated. you didnt even kick em out
12:39 PM roycroft: it's like that bizarre state legislator thing
12:39 PM roycroft: i think it's in vermont
12:40 PM roycroft: a democrat and a republican have known each other since they were children, and had been friends since then
12:40 PM roycroft: a few months ago the democrat opposed a bill restricting abortion rights
12:40 PM roycroft: starting the next day, he found his tote bag that he carried to the state house was wet
12:40 PM roycroft: every week or so it would be wet
12:40 PM roycroft: then it started getting wet every day
12:41 PM roycroft: so he put up a surveillance camera
12:41 PM roycroft: and found that his childhood friend, the republican, was pouring a cup of water into it every day
12:41 PM roycroft: she was upset that he opposed that bill
12:41 PM roycroft: but that does not justify the bizarre behavior of pouring water into this tote bag
12:42 PM CaptHindsight: we stigmatize some mental illness and normalize others
12:44 PM CaptHindsight: it takes a village to raise a child but what of half the village is nuts?
12:45 PM xxcoder: no matter how close I am to that friend, id never pour water in that person tote or whatever
12:46 PM roycroft: it's a pretty bizarre behavior, to say the least
12:46 PM xxcoder: id call it high school mentality, except it'd be insult to high schoolers
12:47 PM CaptHindsight: roycroft: have you tried CBT or at least rewarding their good behavior with small treats?
12:48 PM CaptHindsight: thank you for the package, here's a treat, there are more where that came from
12:50 PM CaptHindsight: last resort is blackmail, do you know where they hang out?
12:51 PM roycroft: i just hope the problem goes away eventually
12:51 PM roycroft: but one thing about a small town is that it's hard to fix bad behaviors once they're entrenched
12:51 PM roycroft: one has to accept them as part of the "charms" of the community
12:52 PM * roycroft will be unpacking his hand planes shortly, and then the shop will actually start looking a little like a shop
01:00 PM CaptHindsight: you're a lover not a fighter
01:09 PM roycroft: i just try to get by with the least amount of stress
01:11 PM roycroft: but yeah, my parcel that is due to be delivered today is currently in eugene, and the ramps that are due to be delivered tomorrow are currently in rockford, il
01:11 PM roycroft: i kind of doubt either of those will arrive on time
01:14 PM CaptHindsight: I got a quote to clean and replace the balls for a ball screw for $1400, no grinding not even new balls
01:28 PM CaptHindsight: I don't get all this mail order or Amazon delivery. All the delivery people don't bother delivering.
01:29 PM CaptHindsight: I had to stand out front a wave a brick to get them to stop on any weekend, holiday, weekday, etc
01:29 PM CaptHindsight: they would tell me that I was closed
01:30 PM CaptHindsight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kP6R0clBGY it works at crosswalks and delivery locations
01:53 PM roycroft: i did get one notice of an "undeliverable" parcel when i first moved in
01:54 PM roycroft: i stood on my porch watching the mail arrive, and as soon as the letter carrier let i went out to my mailbox, retrieved the mail, and found the notice that the parcel could not be delivered and that i would have to pick it up at the post office
01:54 PM roycroft: i went to the post office and complained, and pickd up the parcel, and i haven't seen another parcel since
01:54 PM roycroft: i guess that's what complaining gets one :)
01:56 PM Tom_L: you just expect too much from ppl. i mean you seriously expect them to do their job???
01:58 PM CaptHindsight: don't tell me what to do, I tell you what to do!
01:59 PM Tom_L: i recently got a new trash service because it was nearly half the prevous one and the entire neighborhood has switched for the most part. the guy comes and does his job, doesn't complain but does take an extreme amount of time per address since he spends probably 10 min texting and making calls during the stop
02:00 PM Tom_L: i figure that's between him and his employer and i'm not about to rat on him as long as he does the job for me
02:00 PM roycroft: as long as the trash gets picked up it doesn't matter
02:01 PM Tom_L: and i got a senior discount and $10 off the first quarter on top of the 'standard' half price rate
02:01 PM CaptHindsight: possible trash spy?
02:01 PM Tom_L: if it goes out my door, i could care less. i shred anything i don't want out there
02:02 PM CaptHindsight: "HQ it's agent 45376, jut banana peels and coffee grinds, I'll keep looking for thermonuclear devices"
02:02 PM Tom_L: i think the big companies based out of Cali are being chased out of here
02:03 PM Tom_L: i got grandfathered in to one due to my previous one retiring and they got bought out
02:04 PM Tom_L: may even slip in a 6 pack now and then :)
02:04 PM CaptHindsight: around here trash service is a minimum of $70/month, same price as dumping a truck once of almost any size
02:05 PM Tom_L: i get that rate per quarter but it was double that previously
02:05 PM CaptHindsight: have a single paper bag $70, 10 trash bags $70, it's a racket
02:06 PM Tom_L: roycroft, maybe you should put an ice cold reward in the mailbox when you see them on the way
02:06 PM CaptHindsight: I called all the services, I have two lawn/leaf size bags a month
02:06 PM Tom_L: you may just get it back 'postage due'... who knows
02:06 PM CaptHindsight: no matter it was always $70 and up
02:06 PM roycroft: it's $17/month here for a 35 gallon can, with pickup every other week, and recycling every week
02:07 PM Tom_L: we get a plastic can whatever size they are + 2 cans <30lb ea or 8 leaf bags
02:08 PM Tom_L: or a combination thereof
02:09 PM CaptHindsight: now it's just included in my rent
02:10 PM CaptHindsight: and then the contractor next door fills it half up
02:10 PM Tom_L: of course
02:10 PM CaptHindsight: they used to fill it 120% until the truck stopped picking it up
02:10 PM CaptHindsight: at least there is still room for my one bag
02:13 PM Tom_L: ok, cooled down from mowing... shower time
02:16 PM Guest28: Can i use 3D edge finder with linuxcnc?
02:16 PM * Guest28 is looking at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006820618439.html rn

02:23 PM lcnc-relay: <JT> Guest yup
02:27 PM xxcoder: very nice area. lack of mountains bother me tho lol
02:29 PM lcnc-relay: <JT> French Village
02:38 PM Tom_L: cornhole winner gets a free glass of wine
02:38 PM lcnc-relay: <JT> LOL
02:40 PM lcnc-relay: <vibram> Where is it?
02:40 PM Tom_L: somewhere in Missouri if i had to guess
02:42 PM Tom_L: i noticed you perked up when you read "French" and "wine"
02:42 PM xxcoder: yeah I dont think ill move to places that dont have far off mountains always in view
02:43 PM Tom_L: <vibram> I'm in Europe, French /Switzerland boarder

02:55 PM * roycroft lives in the upper foothills of the cascades now
02:55 PM roycroft: five minutes east and the ascent to willamette pass begins
03:26 PM Gardenweazel: I live in the DFW area and sometimes get same day service from Hamazon.
03:27 PM Gardenweazel: But, I can also get pool parts in two days snail mail from LA if I order before noon. It's pretty nice to get service like that.
03:29 PM Gardenweazel: UPS and FredEx we get 7 days a week if that's been negotiated with the company and FredEx
03:29 PM Gardenweazel: same goes for USPS. They deliver Sundays here also.
03:30 PM roycroft: living out in the sticks has its benefits and its drawbacks
03:31 PM xxcoder: https://youtu.be/Nqxjfp4Gi0k interesting. easy to make 18c PCMs
03:34 PM xxcoder: ceiling test is interesting. its cold in sunlit time, and during dark it warms up since its releasing heat to freeze again
03:36 PM Gardenweazel: Honestly, half the nation moved to Texas in the last year or so. I'd move to the sticks in a heartbeat!
03:36 PM xxcoder: half? I doubt that
03:36 PM roycroft: there aren't many sticks in texas
03:36 PM xxcoder: pcm for solar panel cooling? interesting
03:36 PM Gardenweazel: Cost of homes has tripled.
03:36 PM roycroft: i literally live in the sticks - my town is surrounded by national forest on all sides
03:37 PM Gardenweazel: there's a heck of alotta prairie weed though....
03:37 PM xxcoder: and other kinds of weeds eh
03:38 PM Gardenweazel: lol, not here. That ain't allowed......
03:38 PM xxcoder: lol
03:38 PM roycroft: https://roycroft.us/TexasSong.mp3
03:39 PM roycroft: if you're from texas you might enjoy that
03:39 PM Gardenweazel: LOL
03:41 PM xxcoder: if I ever build a microhouse, id try putting up those 29c pcms
03:41 PM xxcoder: save a lot of money on ac
03:42 PM Gardenweazel: I put an old clock in the shop, took out the battery and changed the time to 5pm! Time to get after it!
03:44 PM roycroft: i have two clocks in my office that are almost identical - one has a red display and one a blue display
03:44 PM roycroft: i set the red one to local time and the blue one to utc
03:44 PM roycroft: at my hold house they were both dead accurate - they would be off by a minute every few months
03:45 PM roycroft: at the new house they're both gaining about 6 minute/day, and are perfectly synched with each other
03:45 PM roycroft: i'm wondering if they're using line frequency as their time base, and if the line frequency is a bit high here
03:45 PM xxcoder: possible. many plugged clocks depend on 60 hz
03:46 PM roycroft: that would be odd - power utilities are very good at holding at exactly 60Hz
03:46 PM roycroft: they have to, so that they can route power amongst themselves
03:46 PM xxcoder: id get cheap ups with dead battery for that for cheap, kind that double converts so its always precisely 60 hz
03:46 PM roycroft: voltage can vary rather significantly, but frequency should be spot on
03:47 PM xxcoder: or in least PFC Sinewave Line Interactive
03:47 PM * roycroft should quit wondering and pull out a fluke or his oscilloscope and measure
03:47 PM xxcoder: volt passthough but hz is always fixed
03:50 PM roycroft: when your line frequency is not synched precisely, lots of bad things can happen
03:51 PM roycroft: i remember when i was doing the job with the telebit modems at the hydro plant, it only took them about 10 minutes to get the generators online, but they had to spend another 15 minutes or so synching the line frequency perfectly before they could start feeding the grid
03:52 PM xxcoder: I guess to avoid cancelling out or doubling amp
03:52 PM xxcoder: in cycles
03:55 PM roycroft: the fluke shows 122.4vac, which is fine, but line frequency is constantly varying from 59.93Hz to 60.13Hz, mostly staying up around 60.1Hz
03:55 PM roycroft: so that's what's going on
03:55 PM roycroft: i've never seen line frequency vary like that
03:56 PM xxcoder: dang
03:56 PM xxcoder: time to ups your clocks
03:59 PM xxcoder: seems theres SPD for entire house
04:00 PM xxcoder: so whole house have clean power
04:00 PM xxcoder: or ep filters
04:02 PM roycroft: well, the new power company do not have office hours on fridays, so i guess i'll check with them on monday
04:03 PM roycroft: i'm not sure how tight line frequency is require to be, but in eugene it was at 60.00Hz and rock solid
04:03 PM xxcoder: yep same here
04:03 PM roycroft: 60.13Hz may be with spec, in which case it's time for some new clocks
04:03 PM xxcoder: I literally have log of it
04:03 PM roycroft: i've logged it before, when i had issues
04:04 PM xxcoder: or find dead battery ups and use em
04:04 PM roycroft: i should go turn logging on on the fluke so i can get the power utility some data
04:04 PM xxcoder: lowest 60.0hz, highest 60.0 hz
04:04 PM roycroft: although iirc that fluke has an ir port for downloading logs, and i don't know where the ir receiver is
04:05 PM xxcoder: 116 v tho wow them acs must be hitting tacoma power system hard
04:05 PM xxcoder: peak hot for week now
04:07 PM roycroft: it's warm here today
04:10 PM xxcoder: 100f outside, max 109f
04:11 PM xxcoder: I guess some stuff grabbed more heat so it is hotter. (measured using p2 pro)
04:39 PM Tom_L: https://powerquality.blog/2021/01/15/voltage-tolerance-boundary/
05:07 PM roycroft: yay
05:07 PM roycroft: it's the weekend
05:08 PM roycroft: i can focus on moving for a couple days
05:08 PM roycroft: also, no more take and bake pizzas - i'm going to make one from scratch tonight for the first time since i broke my wrist
05:08 PM roycroft: i think i can handle the rolling pin now
05:33 PM xxcoder: yay friday task done
06:03 PM xxcoder: wow. this news will hit boeing stock so hard
06:03 PM xxcoder: https://www.livescience.com/space/space-exploration/astronauts-stranded-in-space-due-to-multiple-issues-with-boeings-starliner-and-the-window-for-a-return-flight-is-closing
06:19 PM Tom_L: what is helium used for in that application?
06:19 PM xxcoder: no idea
06:19 PM Tom_L: helium party on ISS?
06:20 PM xxcoder: well it certainly dont change my talk pitch
06:21 PM xxcoder: my hands and arms are unaffected by helium after all
06:22 PM Tom_L: Helium is used to pressurize the spacecraft's reaction control system (RCS) maneuvering thrusters, allowing them to fire, according to Boeing.
06:22 PM xxcoder: interesting
06:22 PM xxcoder: fun inheirance machining today lol

07:30 PM Tom_dev: JT-Cave, home all seems broke on hardware
07:30 PM Tom_dev: home x y z work but home all stays even though they are all homed individually
07:31 PM Tom_dev: home all will home the hardware but doesn't switch to unHome all active
07:31 PM Tom_dev: works fine with the sim
07:32 PM Tom_dev: can't test much else until it indicates x y z are all homed.
07:37 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> they are supposed to speed up/slow down to make each day's total 'hz' correct
07:37 PM Tom_dev: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:443/~webpage/cnc/JT-SHOP/flexgui/home_all_homed.png
07:38 PM Tom_dev: after home all is pressed
07:38 PM Tom_dev: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:443/~webpage/cnc/JT-SHOP/flexgui/home_each_axis.png
07:38 PM Tom_dev: after homing individual axis
07:39 PM Tom_dev: skunkworks, do you remember what turns on/off the warnings down the right side of axis on an error?
07:39 PM Tom_dev: i'm not getting those when running axis on this new setup
07:39 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> huh.. I didn't know you could turn them off..
07:39 PM Tom_dev: i didn't either and didn't do it intentionally
07:39 PM Tom_dev: but i think there is a setting...
07:40 PM Tom_dev: heading back inside where it's cool...
07:42 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> can you start it from terminal - and they should show up there...
07:44 PM Tom_L: i could but i didn't :)
07:44 PM Tom_L: homeAll does move the axis like it should but the button stays active instead of switching to the unhome one
07:45 PM Tom_L: as far as the warnings... it shouldn't have changed since (pretty sure) i copied them right off the mill pc
07:46 PM Tom_L: running multiple setups can get a bit confusing
07:47 PM Tom_L: skunkworks, that's not the DEBUG= setting in the ini is it?
07:48 PM Tom_L: also it could be something that is handled via PYVCP in axis and is not present in flexgui
07:48 PM Tom_L: i have to disable PYVCP pannel for flexgui since it's pyqt5
07:50 PM Tom_L: since it's on that right side where the PYVCP pannel shows up makes me think it's part of that
07:50 PM Tom_L: in axis
07:54 PM Tom_L: i'll compare the [DISPLAY] section of both ini
07:59 PM Tom_L: diff on the 2 ini shows nothing different
08:06 PM Tom_L: http://linuxcnc.org/docs/stable/html/gui/axis.html#axis:preview-control
08:06 PM Tom_L: i didn't know that...
08:16 PM Tom_L: also fwiw.. saved me booting to windows to fix my wireless mouse... Solaar
08:17 PM xxcoder: i use solaar also. what mouse?
08:17 PM Tom_L: logitech
08:17 PM xxcoder: mine is mx master logtech
08:18 PM Tom_L: i have an mx kbd but don't like it so much
08:18 PM Tom_L: mine are all wired now
08:18 PM Tom_L: the mice aren't
08:19 PM xxcoder: same. always wired keyboard and wireless mouse
08:19 PM Tom_L: it was a nice keyboard, it just kept interferring with things
08:19 PM Tom_L: in cad the mouse would go nuts sometimes
08:20 PM Tom_L: ok back out to try a couple things

08:26 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> Find out..
08:27 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> temp power up to the top of the hill... Both outlets seem to work
08:27 PM xxcoder: nice
08:27 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> The one at the top of the hill needs a bit of work I see..
08:27 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> But it is wired correctly
08:28 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> (temp plugged into a gfi on the outside of the house)
08:28 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
08:29 PM Tom_dev: haha i had unplugged the vfd because i needed to use the outlet and forgot to plug it back in... the program was waiting for the spindle to get to speed :)
08:29 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> lol - oops
08:29 PM Tom_dev: that's why i got no warnings
08:29 PM roycroft: skunkworks8841: i had misplaced your check, but i have located it now, and i'll be doing some banking tomorrow, so it will be deposited then
08:29 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> roycroft: no problem
08:30 PM roycroft: i did not thing it would be, but i thought a heads-up would be appropriate
08:30 PM Tom_dev: ran the last program i'd put on the mill with the new PC just fine

08:32 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> One will be at the top of the hill - one here (pretty much where it is located currently)

08:40 PM Tom_L: skunkworks, any more boxes burried?
08:55 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> No.. it rained today
08:55 PM xxcoder: hot day here today
08:56 PM xxcoder: air at 82f, and ground and stuff at 100-109f
09:02 PM roycroft: i am eating homemade pizza

09:02 PM xxcoder: yay
09:02 PM xxcoder: so wheres mine?
09:04 PM roycroft: i don't know - where did you put it when you made it? :)
09:04 PM Tom_L: probably in your frig waiting for you to assemble it
09:04 PM xxcoder: lol
09:05 PM Tom_L: funny... pizza here tonight too
09:05 PM xxcoder: had frozen lasagnas today
09:08 PM Tom_L: kinda nice having a zippy pc in the shop opposed to the D525
09:08 PM Tom_L: i wish it were an itx form factor though
09:11 PM roycroft: no pain or discomfort when rolling out the pizza dough
09:11 PM roycroft: so a successful mission in all aspects
09:12 PM xxcoder: nice

09:16 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> That was quite a few years ago.. haven't made home made pizza in a while
09:16 PM lcnc-relay: <skunkworks8841> But I was good at it 🙂
