09:33 AM JT-Shop: sirusxm just turned on free xm on the BlueWing and the Ridgeline
12:32 PM solarwind: https://www.greentractortalk.com/attachments/dscn1038-jpg.87081/ see that small black vertical rod just to the right side of the head?
12:32 PM solarwind: what is that for?
12:33 PM solarwind: it has a set screw holding it in. My mill has that too.
12:44 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> https://jauriarts.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/jauriarts.org/lUfhhDgwOMFWkXIdxhnGWihD
12:44 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> Not sure if this falls in off topic. But having some issues with a pneumatic valve I am using. It has this symbol. I am wondering if this is suggesting air should only flow one way in the valve? From 2 to 3/1?
12:45 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> https://docs.rs-online.com/a38c/0900766b80dee07b.pdf
12:49 PM roycroft: https://library.automationdirect.com/pneumatic-circuit-symbols-explained/
12:49 PM roycroft: that's better than a simple answer :)
12:49 PM lcnc-relay: <unterhausen> Air only flows from 2 to 3. They have one that flows the other way
12:50 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> cheers
12:50 PM Unterhausen: that relay is really annoying, I guess the other bridge is gone forever?
12:50 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> Wells a it’s a 3/2 so surely once energised it goes a different way?
12:52 PM lcnc-relay: <unterhausen> which valve do you have, the schematic you posted here only goes from 2 to 3
12:52 PM lcnc-relay: <unterhausen> the solenoid probably isn't strong enough to guarantee flow the wrong way
12:52 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> 114
12:53 PM lcnc-relay: <unterhausen> it flows from 1 to 2 in the energized state, if I'm reading it right
12:53 PM lcnc-relay: <desicated_coconut> I’m trying to decide if I am using it wrong or that the orifice js too small
03:16 PM * JT-Shop attempts to clear off his desk
03:16 PM XXCoder: thats easy
03:16 PM XXCoder: just tip the desk
03:16 PM XXCoder: might be loud for a bit
03:18 PM JT-Shop: the desk is very heavy
03:19 PM XXCoder: good strength training
03:19 PM roycroft: don't you have a gantry crane?
03:19 PM roycroft: just lift a corner with it
03:19 PM * roycroft dazzles jt-shop with science
03:20 PM bjorkintosh: hahaha
03:20 PM JT-Shop: gantry crane is in the other shop
04:38 PM Tom_L: rained the whole trip but still had a good time
04:41 PM Connor: So, AVID CNC setup the router so that the y1- and y2- switches are on the front, and are the primary home switches. Based on how the CNC will be setup, I'm thkning it might be better to just move the y1- and turn that into a y1+ (it does have a y2+ already) and home at the rear of the machine instead of the front, thus keeping the machine from having to rapid to the rear right corner every time. It'll make it easier to load material f
04:41 PM Connor: rom the front left side of the machine. Any thoughts on this? I.E. X60"/Y123.5" Will be Right rear, 0/0 will be left front.
04:42 PM JT-Shop: Tom_L, any photos?
04:48 PM Tom_L: she took a bunch
04:48 PM Tom_L: i have a couple
04:49 PM Tom_L: they did have dozens of model trains which was pretty cool
04:51 PM Connor: Also, anyone have Probe basic GUI working with a Rack ATC?
04:53 PM JT-Shop: ask on the qtpyvcp matrix
04:54 PM Connor: ok. Didn't know that existed.
04:54 PM JT-Shop: Chris is the creator of pb
04:54 PM Connor: XYYZ setup, I have it working under axis, but, I think the other interface is a bit nicer.
05:55 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420> @solarwind this rod here?
05:55 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420> does @ work properly with relay?
05:56 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420> https://jauriarts.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/jauriarts.org/sJfHfNdsfnfrRYJvGWMEXKSb
05:57 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420> do images work with relay also?
05:58 PM lcnc-relay: <big_kevin420> @solarwind
05:58 PM CAKESLOB: ok it works
06:00 PM CAKESLOB: im pretty sure its just an indicator rod
06:25 PM Unterhausen: I would say the relay only works well if you're on discord
06:29 PM Unterhausen: well, discord is taking forever to load for me, so I guess I have to live with irc
06:29 PM XXCoder: it works fine on both ends for me
07:00 PM * roycroft sees what he sees and doesn't see what he doesn't see, and doesn't worry about it
07:02 PM XXCoder: of course as soon as I said it works well, it gets flooded out lol
07:02 PM XXCoder: got back right away though
09:00 PM solarwind: big_kevin420, yes
10:45 PM srk| is now known as srk
11:30 PM roycroft: shaper put out a major os upgrade for the origin over the weekend, and just released a bluetooth digital caliper that can sends its measurements to the origin
11:30 PM roycroft: they've added some additional on-tool design features
11:30 PM roycroft: but there's no way to redimension things on-tool
11:31 PM roycroft: so i wonder what use the calipes are
11:31 PM roycroft: calipers
