04:36 PM JT-Shop: just got off the phone with Phil and he did say sometimes he can track the vehicle while it's in transit
05:12 PM roycroft: i use carnauba wax for making finishes, but primarily i keep a bar of it on-hand when i'm machning wood, to lubriate the tables of my table saw/jointer/thicknesser

07:16 PM roycroft: but never when there are chemicals involved that might spill, nor sparks, nor when i'm lifting/moving anything that would cause damage if it fell on my feet

07:17 PM XXCoder: at shop I never not wear boots
07:17 PM roycroft: and i did not worry
07:17 PM XXCoder: if laser hit your feet way more things went wrong than merely using birks.
07:17 PM roycroft: that b&s magnet is heavy enough to cause damage
07:18 PM roycroft: i'd wear full shoes, if not steel-toed boots, when handling something like that
07:18 PM XXCoder: yeah. I still cant find its specific usercase
07:18 PM roycroft: i often paint in my stocking feet
07:18 PM roycroft: and yeah, if i dropped the spray gun on my feet it would hurt
07:19 PM roycroft: but it would not cause any serious damage
07:19 PM roycroft: what i do in those circumstances is wear shoes to the door of the paint booth, and then remove them
07:19 PM roycroft: so i'm not tracking things into the booth
07:19 PM roycroft: i've never dropped a spray gun, btw
