05:21 PM roguish[m]: been around a while.
05:30 PM roguish[m]: based on chromium
05:30 PM Tom_L: is that at all related to google chrome?
05:30 PM XXCoder: chromium is de-googlified chrome
05:30 PM XXCoder: I use chromium sometimes
05:30 PM Tom_L: it's on the rpi by default
05:30 PM JT-Cave: google is evil
05:30 PM XXCoder: could tell oncenthey removed "dont do evil" motto
05:30 PM Tom_L: jt did you get that file?
05:30 PM JT-Cave: I don't remember... this morning?
05:30 PM Tom_L: i think so
05:33 PM roguish[m]: pere: I'm reading the documentation. it does'nt really explain wht is going on inside. what's looping or not, what's controlling any looping......
05:34 PM pere: yeah
05:38 PM roguish[m]: pere: ok, there's some comments in the code that help.
05:39 PM roguish[m]: pere: do you think at_pid could run continuously? or just for a setup?
05:41 PM jdh: JT-Cave: What kind of machine?
05:42 PM pere: at the moment it is just for setup. as far as I can tell, and I just took existing code and brought it up to date, it will move the pid output to +-effort in a square pattern and measure how long it take before the axis settle on the new speed/position or something, and calculate the average distance between the stops and bottom of the resulting following error plot, and use that to calculate P, I and D. Do not know how this really make sense.
05:44 PM pere: s/stops/tops/
05:45 PM roguish[m]: thanks
05:52 PM * pere head for bed
05:56 PM hazzy[m]: CaptHindsight: Yes! That looks like an older Amanda panel bender. They were red, now they are an off white. RAS machines are yellow
