01:19 AM Deejay: moin
04:00 AM Loetmichel: Hmm, interresting. My BMW convertible has EXACT the right distance between trunk lid lock and trunk rim to "catch" a "below counter" fridge securely. Just had to lift it in and then put a strap around the lid and the fridge. Easy going, 10 minutes drive to the recycling center and i was rid of it. Thought that to be more of a hassle honestly.
04:43 AM Tom_L: morning
04:52 AM Tom_L: JT-Cave, my pcie is a 6i24
05:02 AM Tom_L: roughly 2x the io as the 25
05:04 AM Tom_L: don't think it was quite as popular as the 5i25 or 6i25
05:40 AM JT-Cave: morning
08:00 AM _unreal_: more cad work. working on getting the holes milled for the mounting points of the square tube "block" for the main Z stepper/leadscrew system

09:51 AM travis_farmer: Discord ==> IRC bridge is down..
10:13 AM travis_farmer: where did everybody go???
10:22 AM Tom_L: right here
10:24 AM Tom_L: ok, yard done.. shower time
10:32 AM travis_farmer: i tried to ping TurBoss on discord... the bridge has gone down, it would seem
10:36 AM JT-Shop: just sold the Spyder... he has to come back monday with the cash
10:39 AM travis_farmer: hey JT, bit of a snag with my test LCNC computer, as far as testing mesact. the WiFi on it doesn't work, and it has one Ethernet port, so i can only have either a Mesa card connection, or internet, but not both. (ordered a NIC) long way of saying there will be a delay before i test the utility...
10:40 AM JT[m]: Turboss is the bridge down?
10:40 AM JT-Shop: looks like it works
10:40 AM travis_farmer: the bridge is down for me
10:40 AM JT-Shop: you don't need internet to test mesact
10:41 AM travis_farmer: no, but i need internet to install it ;) allong with LinuxCNC
10:42 AM travis_farmer: BRB, getting lunch
10:45 AM Tom_L: but it's not lunchtime yet...
10:47 AM unterhaus: pi zero costs almost twice as much as what a pi4 should cost
10:48 AM Tom_L: and 4x what it's worth?
10:48 AM unterhaus: it's okay at the price its supposed to sell for
10:49 AM unterhaus: but at that price, I'm buying used dells from the university surplus store
10:49 AM Tom_L: heh
10:49 AM Tom_L: i dug my server out of a trash can for free
10:49 AM unterhaus: the microcontroller pi is selling for normal price
10:50 AM Tom_L: been running headless for i'd suppose 10yrs?
10:50 AM unterhaus: the dells I'm buying cost $20, plus ssd
10:50 AM unterhaus: latency stinks though
11:44 AM JT-Cave: hmm I need to service the dust baths for the hens
11:45 AM Tom_L: my wife didn't believe me that birds take dust baths. the other day she saw a couple in the neighbor's drive stirring up all kinds of dust...
11:46 AM Tom_L: one she google'd it.. it was believable then
11:55 AM JT-Cave: I used to have one called Pig Pen that took very long dust baths and when she shook off she disappeared in a cloud of dust
11:55 AM * JT-Cave thinks it's nap time now that he understands how to use subprocess.Popen with sudo
11:56 AM Tom_L: oh you got that working?
12:00 PM roguish[m]: JT-Cave: 'Pig pen' you're showing your age again. lol
12:01 PM roguish[m]: I should rephrase..........we're showing our age again.
12:02 PM roguish[m]: I saw one of these this morning... https://www.lucidmotors.com/
12:02 PM Tom_L: :)
12:52 PM JT-Shop: is that electric
12:56 PM JT-Shop: not something most folks could afford for sure
12:56 PM JT-Shop: $154,000
12:57 PM JT-Shop: Tom_L, yep I've solved that puzzle and now just need to implement it for all board functions
12:58 PM CloudEvil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ73PftBfFg&t=315s On 'not something most folks could afford' - around a ton of advanced lithium-ion batteries in a 250km VTOL single-seat aircraft.
01:18 PM XXCoder: roguish[m]: ugh I hate websites that alter scrolling speed
01:42 PM roycroft: xxcoder: my printer looks fine, so i'm trying a print with some known dry atomic filament now
01:42 PM XXCoder: hope it works well
01:43 PM XXCoder: i plan to print 2 phone stands for my sis
01:46 PM roycroft: i'll know in about a half hour
01:46 PM XXCoder: ok
01:53 PM roycroft: i also just ordered 10 more spools on the wait 30 days discount plan - they should arrive a week after the fair
01:54 PM XXCoder: thats good
02:05 PM roycroft: hmm, while it wasn't perfect, the box is acceptable
02:05 PM roycroft: and i printed it 5 degrees hot
02:05 PM roycroft: i think i'll try a print at the normal temperature now
02:06 PM roycroft: and i really do think the problem before was too much moisture in the filament, since i changed nothing but the filament for this test
02:06 PM XXCoder: probably. id suggest you to build fully sealed filament pathway for your machine
02:07 PM XXCoder: normally for nylon but if your rolls go bad fairly fast, id suggest it anyway
02:08 PM XXCoder: with 1000 boxes you'd be leaving rolls out for days anyway, so fully sealed pathway is good for that.
02:09 PM XXCoder: bring a roll with you to kitchen store, find one box that fits it, then build interior holder for filament, add bowden connector to outside and tube all way to printer
02:36 PM travis_farmer: Hmm, that filament holder idea sounds interesting... and sounds cheaper than the pre-made dryer boxes
02:37 PM XXCoder: its not active dryer syste
02:37 PM XXCoder: it just keeps it dry
02:38 PM XXCoder: you need active filament drier like food dissecant box, or those special filament dryer boxes etc
02:39 PM travis_farmer: oh, i can't just put a bunch of silica crystals in the bottom of the box?
02:39 PM XXCoder: that would help dry it out a little but but you need heat
02:39 PM travis_farmer: bunson burner? ;)
02:40 PM XXCoder: lol
02:40 PM XXCoder: sure if want fire
02:40 PM travis_farmer: i was kidding, but i may look into a food dehydrator
02:44 PM travis_farmer: so, i was looking at maybe a auto bed leveling sensor. do you have to level the bed using it, or is it used to just compensate the gcode to the position of the bed?
02:44 PM XXCoder: compensate
02:45 PM XXCoder: I used octoprint though, with silicone tube mod to make my bed very flat (varance of 0.13 mm)
02:45 PM travis_farmer: ok, makes more sense. so i manually level, until it is close, and then auto level.
02:46 PM XXCoder: silicone mod is very interesting
02:46 PM XXCoder: in mk3s, you remove all but center spacers, replace them with silicone tube (high temp)
02:47 PM XXCoder: do rough by tightning silicone tube bolts till bed goes against metal spacer, then remove metal spacers
02:47 PM XXCoder: then you dial in
02:47 PM XXCoder: it literally tells you how much you turn bolts
02:47 PM travis_farmer: Hmmm... interesting...
02:48 PM XXCoder: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/763328871906017280/985269350825070602/unknown.png
02:49 PM XXCoder: that was my final scan
02:50 PM travis_farmer: Hmm...
02:51 PM travis_farmer: anybody know what happened to the discord bridge?
02:52 PM XXCoder: seems so. sigh dunno.
02:52 PM XXCoder: hope turboss comes in sometime
02:53 PM travis_farmer: yeah, i noticed it was down this morning. tried to ping him, but ...
02:55 PM XXCoder: think need restart from matrix so only he can do it
02:56 PM travis_farmer: good thing i have both Discord and IRC running, so i noticed it ;)
02:56 PM XXCoder: im on both also, but I have linuxcnc one muted
02:57 PM XXCoder: (only linuxcnc channel specifically, ince im also here)
02:57 PM travis_farmer: yeah, i may get more used to IRC, but i like Discord too.
02:58 PM Loetmichel: well, IRC is OOOOLD
02:58 PM travis_farmer: yes it is
02:58 PM XXCoder: and not locked to one owner
02:58 PM XXCoder: we are on libre.chat now, because we could move over when some people got corrupt
02:59 PM travis_farmer: i used to run my own IRC server... that nobody but me used... much like my website forum, actually ;)
03:00 PM travis_farmer: actualy, i used to run a NNTP server too, but i doubt anybody uses NNTP anymore, lol
03:01 PM Loetmichel: hehe... yes, i know that feeling. but actually thats a thing thats a plus on IRC in my opinion. no company to go rampant eventually like MAY happen with discord.
03:02 PM XXCoder: libre is designed to prevent what happened to freenode
03:03 PM roycroft: i used to carry a full news feed, which i would download every night via a uucp connection
03:03 PM Loetmichel: XXCoder: well, as long as there is a central organisation that has all the strings in hand it can happen again. But honestly its not a big problem with IRC because you can just switch servers or make your own.
03:03 PM Loetmichel: if the community approves the "buyer" simply bought an empty shell then
03:04 PM roycroft: are we talking about that old network again?
03:04 PM XXCoder: roy yes and no. only as indirect reference
03:04 PM Loetmichel: roycroft: only passing. talking about differences between IRC and Discord
03:05 PM XXCoder: anyway in any cae things is going well here
03:05 PM roycroft: freenode is bleedin' demised
03:05 PM roycroft: it has passed on
03:05 PM travis_farmer: other than the bridge is down LMAO
03:05 PM roycroft: it has ceased to be
03:05 PM XXCoder: yeah
03:06 PM roycroft: it's expired and gone to meet its maker
03:06 PM travis_farmer: i hear monty python approaching...
03:29 PM roycroft: i knew when enough had been said :)
03:36 PM travis_farmer: <=== just discovered thingverse...
03:36 PM XXCoder: that site has lots of problems
03:36 PM XXCoder: I usually use printables.com
03:36 PM travis_farmer: problems? i JUST made an account, LOL
03:37 PM XXCoder: add "zip" to url to download zip of all files in object entry
03:41 PM * JT-Shop waits for the bleeding to stop...
03:41 PM travis_farmer: are you alright?
03:41 PM XXCoder: yeah, what happened
03:42 PM JT-Shop: my arm brushed against some chicken wire and it's the juila childs skit on snl
03:42 PM JT-Shop: I was trying give Pea Wee some scrambled eggs
03:42 PM travis_farmer: dang, need stiches?
03:43 PM JT-Shop: no, just a tiny scratch...
03:43 PM JT-Shop: I bleed very easy even from a light scratch
03:43 PM JT-Shop: I keep wound seal handy in case of a real cut
03:44 PM travis_farmer: my father is the same way. if he looks at a nail cross-ways, it bites him ;)
03:44 PM JT-Shop: yup
03:45 PM JT-Shop: looks like we are in for a week of very hot weather
03:46 PM travis_farmer: monday and friday are T-storms, here
03:48 PM JT-Shop: when I go back down to the chicken yard I'm bringing my pliers lol
03:49 PM travis_farmer: lol
03:49 PM travis_farmer: and band-aids, in case it fights back
03:55 PM JT-Shop: found that wire that was not folded over and fixed that...
03:55 PM * JT-Shop goes through a lot of band aids lol
03:55 PM travis_farmer: lol
04:10 PM * JT-Shop went 4 large flea stores looking for a 26" mountain bike and they had none
04:29 PM Tom_L: 94F
04:29 PM Tom_L: you don't have a bike?
04:30 PM JT-Shop: I have two, a road bike and a 29" mountain bike but I'm wanting to build an e-bike
04:30 PM JT-Shop: for that you need a 26" mountain bike to start with
04:30 PM Tom_L: ahh
04:30 PM Tom_L: haven't been on mine in quite a long time
04:31 PM Tom_L: needs new tires now
04:31 PM roycroft: an ebike build would be fun
04:32 PM Tom_L: i got it years ago from a kid that wanted a better one
04:38 PM roycroft: when i was a kid (late teens/early 20s) i worked at a bike shop
04:38 PM roycroft: i was a distance-racer at the time as wel
04:38 PM roycroft: we did all sorts of repairs and mods to bikes, but did not build them from scratch
04:39 PM roycroft: i've always been interested in doing that - perhaps i might have a go at building an e-bike totally from scratch, including fabricating the frame
04:39 PM roycroft: i'm not sure if it's worth it for a one-off bike, though
04:39 PM roycroft: it all depends on how elaborate the frame jigs need to be
04:40 PM roycroft: it's certainly not a near-term project
04:41 PM XXCoder: theres interesting wood ones too
04:41 PM XXCoder: another one using bamboo
04:41 PM roycroft: those would tend to be fairly heavy, i should think
04:42 PM roycroft: and if i got/built an e-bike, i'd want it to be a pedal assist model
04:42 PM roycroft: so keeping the weight down would be important
04:43 PM JT-Shop: what I'm going to use is a rear hub motor with cassette so you can pedal as well
04:43 PM roycroft: iirc the rear hub models don't go very fast
04:43 PM roycroft: the crank motor models are the ones that can do 30mph
04:44 PM roycroft: i think the rear hub ones only half that fast
04:44 PM JT-Shop: the one I'm getting goes 34 mph
04:44 PM roycroft: oh, cool
04:44 PM roycroft: that's a decent speed, and is about what i would want
04:44 PM JT-Shop: 48v 1000w motor
04:45 PM roycroft: now that gasoline is over $5/gallon it might make sense to do the e-bike thing sooner vs. later
04:45 PM roycroft: even at 50mpg, it's expensive to drive my car
04:45 PM roycroft: and during at least half the year i can do most of my traveling on the e-bike
04:46 PM * roycroft gets back to sanding and shellacking and varnishing
04:47 PM JT-Shop: it's 9 miles to Menards for me and the same to a small wal-mart
04:50 PM roycroft: 9 miles is a good distance for an e-bike, with half pedaling and half cruising
04:50 PM roycroft: so the labels are starting to pop off of my fastener boxes
04:51 PM roycroft: and i'm out of modge podge
04:51 PM roycroft: i can get some at michael's, but that's way over in springtucky
04:51 PM * roycroft looks for a closer source
04:51 PM roycroft: and yes! target have it in stock
04:51 PM JT-Shop: the new Kroger prescription call in sucks big time
04:52 PM roycroft: there is a target close to my house
04:55 PM CaptHindsight[m]: no safe way to bike to stores around here, you even get run over in mid and small size cars
04:56 PM CaptHindsight[m]: the most ignorant seem to have the greatest self importance and the least patience
04:57 PM XXCoder: roycroft: not the bamoo one. it was very light
04:57 PM XXCoder: its as hard as most hardwoods but a hollow tube
05:02 PM XXCoder: https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Build-a-Bamboo-Bicycle/
05:03 PM JT-Shop: griz 30" 3 in 1 is posted on cl

05:06 PM JT-Shop: now that's all
05:08 PM JT-Shop: there sure is a lot of crap on cl
05:22 PM CaptHindsight[m]: rumor has it that Facebook marketplace has become more popular than CL
05:23 PM CaptHindsight[m]: but I never use it
05:23 PM XXCoder: its still shit
05:23 PM XXCoder: I cant do negative terms
05:23 PM XXCoder: so its useless
05:24 PM CaptHindsight[m]: maybe they think they will be less likely to be the target of a organ harvesting ring if they se FB
05:24 PM CaptHindsight[m]: s/se/use/
05:25 PM CaptHindsight[m]: people from around here tell me about how they carry a gun when they go to buy an air hockey table or similar on CL
05:28 PM CaptHindsight[m]: I was looking at some tool on CL, they buyer wrote that they would only meet at a police station for the exchange. I replied that that would be a far too dangerous a place to meet since they have armed police officer there.
05:28 PM roycroft: i think just not meeting in the back of the wal*mart parking lot to do the sale/exchange is usually sufficient
05:29 PM roycroft: but what do i know?
05:29 PM roycroft: all i can say for myself is that i haven't been shot yet
05:30 PM JT-Shop: my friend posted my Spyder on fb markeplace and it only took a few days to sell
05:31 PM JT-Shop: cl is crap for auto or bikes
05:31 PM roycroft: and i would argue that fb is crap for everything :)
05:32 PM JT-Shop: I think fb is crap but if it can sell my Spyder without me using it that's a plus
05:34 PM CaptHindsight[m]: I have only been knowingly fired upon maybe 3-4 times and this was back in the 80's
05:35 PM JT-Shop: roycroft, https://thepatriotwoodworker.com/forums/topic/37383-fire-wood-box/
05:36 PM CaptHindsight[m]: missed me every time
05:38 PM JT-Shop: good thing they never watched Sargeant York
05:43 PM CaptHindsight[m]: gobble gobble gobble
05:43 PM CaptHindsight[m]: Gary Cooper was a great fit for that role
05:44 PM roguish[m]: how about F-Troop
05:45 PM JT-Shop: yep so was walter brennan
05:47 PM CaptHindsight[m]: I was just imagining who might play them today in a remake
05:47 PM JT-Shop: I don't think anyone could do it better than those guys
05:48 PM * JT-Shop just watched a chipmunk run across the driveway on camera.. it's so funny
05:48 PM roguish[m]: capt_hindsight[m]:
05:50 PM roguish[m]: most old movies can't be made today, without substantial changes. way to 'offensive'
05:50 PM JT-Shop: blazing saddles
05:50 PM * JT-Shop goes inside for the night
05:50 PM roguish[m]: thinking exactly of it....
05:51 PM roguish[m]: finished machining a new encoder mount. shower time, then a beer on the deck. still 88 though

05:54 PM XXCoder: hi. when in channel that has a bridge to irc, please try to avoid editing
06:12 PM roycroft: very nice, jt-shop
06:12 PM roycroft: bookbinding has always been an interest of mine
06:21 PM XXCoder: lol.
06:21 PM XXCoder: just got spam mail on alaska airplane miles
06:21 PM XXCoder: I havent went on plane since 2012 or so
06:23 PM XXCoder: roy did cooler print work fine?
06:37 PM roycroft: it's still printing
06:37 PM roycroft: i'm doing a batch of 9
06:37 PM roycroft: it has 3-4 hours to go
06:38 PM XXCoder: cool :)
06:57 PM roycroft: and it appears that mod podge sticks to pla just fine
06:58 PM roycroft: so the problem with the labels is solved
07:15 PM CaptHindsight[m]: no printed labels in the PLA using contrasting colors!?
07:16 PM roycroft: i need to be able to change the labels
07:16 PM roycroft: and i need decent resolution
07:16 PM roycroft: so i use a p-touch, stick them on the tab, and then brush the whole tab with mod podge
07:43 PM _unreal_: sweeeeet the Y arms are now Mounted PERM to the Y bearing carriages.
07:43 PM _unreal_: and rolling smooth
07:44 PM XXCoder: CaptHindsight[m]: im sure you was joking, but picture making every model for every bolt type?
07:44 PM XXCoder: no thanks lol

08:18 PM XXCoder: wow amazing joineru
08:21 PM roycroft: japanese joinery is pretty amazing
08:22 PM roycroft: i'm trying to slowly learn how to do some of it
08:22 PM XXCoder: they have sketchup models of joinery https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ethawktkhzylbxt/AAAgY1i5Vc-f8BEphNZJ6mWKa?dl=0
08:22 PM roycroft: i have several books about japanese joinery
08:23 PM roycroft: btw, i just finished gluing up some drawers
08:23 PM t4nk_freenode: mmzz... using a chisel to help with the sawing.. never thought of that
08:23 PM roycroft: it feels good to be back in that mode - while i've been working hard on my project every day, it hasn't seemed like i've made any real progress all week
08:23 PM XXCoder: but site dont have video specific joinery aw
08:23 PM roycroft: installing new drawers will feel like progress
08:24 PM roycroft: t4nk_freenode: i prefer to do the layouts and initial lines with a marking knife
08:24 PM roycroft: i then use a chisel to define the knife wall better
08:24 PM roycroft: for fine joinery
08:25 PM roycroft: there are various classes of joints - chris schwarz has a video on classes of joints
08:25 PM _unreal_: t4nk_freenode, any progress
08:25 PM t4nk_freenode: heh, it sure beats drawing a line and trying to get that, like I do ;)
08:25 PM _unreal_: I'm starting to build up My YX axis
08:25 PM roycroft: you prep the cut according to how accurate it needs to be
08:26 PM _unreal_: My Y arms are now mounted
08:26 PM t4nk_freenode: yeah, _unreal_, I've been ready for the past few days.. but I want to use a pen at first
08:26 PM _unreal_: I need to get 25mm m4's :( thought I had them but I dont
08:26 PM t4nk_freenode: but my spindel is on there, along with half a dust shoe
08:26 PM * roycroft wonders why he is watching dave stanton make yet another resin table, when he absolutely despises resin tables
08:26 PM t4nk_freenode: so I need to make some kind of pen holder to fit alongside
08:27 PM * _unreal_ raises eyebrow at roycroft
08:27 PM t4nk_freenode: been putting me off

08:29 PM _unreal_: thats a PEN holder design I did works amazing
08:30 PM _unreal_: t4nk_freenode, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ReMMOc5zQjrwCSnNdAv9avkJf35l6s3a/view?usp=sharing
08:31 PM _unreal_: the pen works under its own weight, independent of the z, riding on 7mm rail
08:32 PM _unreal_: its a simple adapter that screws onto the z. or I can switch it out for the small spindle. which will likely never happen
08:32 PM _unreal_: she has no interest in the machine or learning to draw
08:32 PM _unreal_: pains me
08:32 PM _unreal_: oh well

08:35 PM t4nk_freenode: hehe.. that's a 16kg pen holder, _unreal_
08:36 PM t4nk_freenode: anyhow, I don't want that, I just want to control the z myself
08:37 PM _unreal_: the z controls the pen, its just setup so that if the z depth is too deep, the pen rides up its own little rail. rather then having the TIP driven into the surface its writing on.
08:37 PM _unreal_: and it has a touch probe feature :)
08:37 PM t4nk_freenode: (it's: rather THAN, not rather then..)
08:37 PM t4nk_freenode: but yeah, I don't want a spring
08:38 PM _unreal_: spring?
08:38 PM t4nk_freenode: just need a level machine I guess
08:38 PM _unreal_: theres no spring
08:38 PM roycroft: dave's table is looking more and more hideous the more he works on it
08:39 PM roycroft: now i kind of need to stick with the livestream until the end so i can see how horrible it looks when it's finished
08:39 PM XXCoder: roy found it! https://fabiap.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/wood-joints-in-classical-japanese-architecture.pdf
08:39 PM roycroft: nice, thanks
08:40 PM XXCoder: page 42
08:41 PM roycroft: i don't have that book
08:42 PM roycroft: or, rather, didn't
08:42 PM roycroft: it appears to be out of print
08:42 PM roycroft: and yeah, dave's taking an ugly resin table and making it look even worse
08:43 PM roycroft: search on "dave stanton live" on youtube
08:49 PM XXCoder: looking
08:49 PM xxcoder8265[m]: looks like bot finally works
08:50 PM roycroft: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSvPmFCE3yk
08:50 PM roycroft: there
08:50 PM XXCoder: thanks lol
08:50 PM roycroft: it's allegedly a beach with some islands offshore
08:50 PM roycroft: and all that white crap is supposed to be "surf"
08:50 PM XXCoder: very woody looking beaches
08:51 PM roycroft: i like dave
08:51 PM XXCoder: well aside from supposely beaches etc it looked good before addition of white stuff
08:51 PM roycroft: he's an entertaining chap
08:51 PM roycroft: i hate most of what he makes though, especially this resin crap
08:56 PM roycroft: well, time to glue up some drawers, and apply the last coat of shellac to the last of the drawer bottoms
09:01 PM XXCoder: fun
09:19 PM roycroft: all done for today
09:19 PM roycroft: i should be able to install four drawers tomorrow, and then four every day until they're done
09:19 PM roycroft: and i have 24 to go, so by saturday next they should be done
09:19 PM XXCoder: awesome
09:20 PM XXCoder: not doing much myself. printing 2 phone stands
09:20 PM roycroft: i still have to make all the systainer trays
09:21 PM roycroft: the new edition of fine woodworking magazine just arrived
09:21 PM roycroft: there is an article on making drawer pulls
09:21 PM roycroft: i wonder if i'll learn somthing from it :)
09:25 PM XXCoder: nice
09:25 PM roycroft: the tabs are starting to print on my boxes, btw, so it won't be too long before i know how they turned out
09:25 PM XXCoder: nice.
09:26 PM roycroft: probably another half hour or so
09:26 PM roycroft: i'm printing black right now, and i have plenty of black boxes to make, but i really need to start printing some yellow ones
09:27 PM XXCoder: printing an apple green phone stand lol. next one will be silk orange
09:27 PM roycroft: just for another feeling of accomplishment, i want to start taking the old fastener bins off the wall soon, and the first one is all grade 8 zinc chromate coated stuff, which go in yellow boxes
09:29 PM roycroft: my pile of hardwood has gotten even bigger since i got the drawer front material the other day, and i'm tripping over it even worse than before
09:29 PM roycroft: so getting my wood storage racks up on the wall is a huge priority
09:32 PM XXCoder: sounds like it yeah
09:32 PM XXCoder: btw I plan to evenuyally model that mysterous joinery
09:32 PM XXCoder: for fun of it
09:32 PM roycroft: that would be un
09:32 PM roycroft: fun
09:33 PM roycroft: it will be interesting if you can make it work
09:33 PM XXCoder: i plan to add .1 mm space all around on one of parts
09:33 PM roycroft: it needs to be made pretty precisely or it won't go together
09:33 PM XXCoder: to account of slight varance of print
09:33 PM XXCoder: it wont be as tight as real thing but yeah
10:37 PM roycroft: marius hornberger just released a video of his atc build for his router
10:37 PM roycroft: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeOUdosoEBM

10:51 PM _unreal_: damn it just discovered an ERROR
10:51 PM _unreal_: small one but annoying
10:52 PM _unreal_: I have a set of holes in the wrong location
10:52 PM _unreal_: not a big issue I can hand drill/correct when I put the supports in. just annoying
10:59 PM _unreal_: man that really sucks that those are off. its going to make the upper alingment 10x harder at first
