04:41 AM XXCoder: https://youtu.be/FG0BjlbEFlQ lol
04:41 AM XXCoder: burnt match" led light
05:39 AM JT-Cave: morning
08:58 AM randy: XXCoder: "a simple way" according to the video title. :)
08:58 AM XXCoder: lol
10:04 AM Tom_L: sunny & 80F today.. nice fall day\
10:11 AM roycroft: it's going to rain here today, and for the next few days
10:11 AM roycroft: i'm fine with that
10:15 AM roguish[m]1: mid 70's today, and cooling thru the week here in the Bay Area
10:15 AM roguish[m]1: maybe Fall
10:32 AM CaptHindsight[m]: solarwind: way over #100
10:51 AM CaptHindsight[m]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmutpdMW8iQ
10:57 AM CaptHindsight[m]: simulate additive and cutting processes
10:58 AM CaptHindsight[m]: simulating laminating is interesting as well
11:20 AM JT-Cave: somewhere I have a diagram for wiring up a square d type s starter...
11:55 AM Eric_ is now known as unterhausen
11:55 AM unterhausen: JT-Cave, starter wiring can be very confusing, especially if you want a remote
11:55 AM roycroft: my new label printer is out for delivery
11:55 AM roycroft: so i'll probably have an opinion of it by tomorrow
01:20 PM JT-Shop: found my diagram :)
01:21 PM JT-Shop: yippie the jury trial has been canceled for my birthday
01:31 PM JT-Shop: unterhausen, I mess with one every 5 years or so... without the wiring diagram it's a guessing game what wire goes to 2 or 3 the rest is straight forward
01:32 PM unterhausen: exactly. I used to be able to hook up a starter pretty quickly. I had one that was daisy chained to a number of computers and remote estops. Last time I looked at a diagram it was like the schematics to an alien spaceship
01:33 PM JT-Shop: iec starters are a breeze
01:33 PM unterhausen: I had cutler hammers because that's what I could get locally
01:35 PM unterhausen: I have one in my shop for my dust collector. I wanted to hook it up to one of those wifi remotes, but I decided I could walk 5 feet to turn it on
01:36 PM roycroft: i just bought a contactor with a 120v coil and a wireless remote make for holiday lights to control my dust collector
01:36 PM roycroft: my dust collector lives in a lean-to shed attached to my shop, so it was a hassle walking out there to turn it on every time
01:37 PM roycroft: but the contactor was like $12, i already had a spare electrical box to put it in, and the wireless remote was about $20
01:38 PM JT-Shop: nice, I wish my dust collector was outside but then I'd forget to empty the bag
01:39 PM roycroft: my imac just took 2 hours to reboot after installing updates
01:39 PM Tom_L: heh
01:39 PM roycroft: i think it's time to look into an ssd upgrade
01:39 PM Tom_L: i personally like samsung evo
01:40 PM roycroft: it's really hard to replace the internal drive on an imac
01:40 PM roycroft: but an ssd with a thunderbolt interface is still way way faster than the built-in fusion drive, so i might just do that
01:41 PM roycroft: get a little encloser that i can velcro to the back of the machine
01:41 PM roycroft: also, i run my virtual machines off an external usb drive
01:41 PM roycroft: and they're kind of slow because of that
01:41 PM roycroft: so if i get a big enough ssd, i can move the vms to it as well
01:41 PM roycroft: thunderbolt is way faster than sub
01:41 PM roycroft: usb
01:43 PM roycroft: we're having all sorts of issues today - letsencrypt were using a root certificate that expired on 30 september
01:43 PM roycroft: they've replace it, and issued new certificates using the new one, but today they seem to be having a lot of trouble validating the new certs
01:43 PM roycroft: nagios has been going crazy all day sending me notifications about not being able to verify certificates
01:44 PM roycroft: i verified that the nagios server has the new letsencrypt root, so it's not an issue on our end
01:44 PM roycroft: so if any of you are having trouble making secure connections to websites today, it may be a letsencrypt issue
01:44 PM unterhausen: I came to the conclusion that I could double-sided tape my new computer to the case door
01:45 PM unterhausen: I have a piece of angle iron to support the weight
01:46 PM unterhausen: It will be exactly 51.5% more secure than the last computer
01:48 PM roycroft: skip the angle iron and just use duct tape
01:48 PM roycroft: if it was good enough for the dune buggy on the moon it's good enough for your computer
03:52 PM XXCoder: JT-Shop: window where bag is so you can see it from inside ;)
03:53 PM solarwind: roycroft which label printer did you buy? I have a Brother P900W and I love it
03:53 PM solarwind: It's their highest resolution and most versatile model, apart from the P950W which just has extra network features
03:54 PM solarwind: This ones prints on heat shrink tube as well and the generic label cartridges are cheap and effective
03:56 PM solarwind: roycroft and yes, USB connected SSD is much faster than a spinning drive, that's what I do for mine.
03:56 PM solarwind: Well the latency is the most important part
04:01 PM unterhausen: I built a fancy system to detect if my dust collector is full. The one I liked the best used a window on one side and a light on the other
04:02 PM unterhausen: I can't justify going with the fancy system, but it would be easy to use it remotely
04:02 PM unterhausen: And it only cost about $50
04:03 PM JT-Shop: xx
04:04 PM JT-Shop: XXCoder, you have to feel the bag to see how full it is
04:04 PM XXCoder: hmm
04:04 PM XXCoder: ah an idea. make "closet" outside, then add door so you can just open door
04:05 PM XXCoder: though I wonder if there can be weight sensor
04:05 PM XXCoder: or other sensor
04:06 PM roguish[m]1: JT-Shop: poke it with a stick
04:06 PM roycroft: i got an epson lw-px700
04:06 PM roycroft: i got it specifically for printing on shrink tubing
04:07 PM roycroft: i have several brother p-touch printers and i'm quite happy with the, but the epson looks like a better machine for cable labeling
04:08 PM unterhausen: someone sells the system I built, the plans are all over the internet though
04:08 PM roycroft: i've had a panduit ls83 for many years, which is what i currently use for cables
04:08 PM unterhausen: the sensor reflects off of the chips
04:08 PM roycroft: it uses overwrap labels, which work well, but in many environments i need to cover the labels with clear shrink tubing
04:09 PM roycroft: i'm tired of that, and running low on the smaller size labels, so i decided to get one that can print directly on shrink tubing
04:09 PM unterhausen: onida sells the one that everyone copies
04:10 PM roycroft: the machine has not been delivered yet, but epson are already asking me to review it
04:10 PM roycroft: which means i probably won't review it for them
04:15 PM CaptHindsight[m]: tell them you'll be happy to post a review after the results are in from the 10 year UV fade test
04:15 PM JT-Shop: roguish[m]1, more fun to grope it
04:18 PM JT-Shop: hmm, I still need more crap out of the garage...
04:20 PM roycroft: or i'll just bin their review request
04:25 PM CaptHindsight[m]: after they sent you a printer to test?
04:25 PM CaptHindsight[m]: What has happened to ethics?
04:25 PM CaptHindsight[m]: Shouldn't you feel obliged to conform to their wishes and post a pleasant review?
04:27 PM roycroft: the letsencrypt problem seems to be cleared up
04:28 PM roycroft: nagios is no longer sending me hundreds of complaints at a go about invalid certificates
04:36 PM CaptHindsight[m]: What is the best way to deposit 100-200um thick layers of polymer foam the same way that a power printer lays down powders or sand?
04:36 PM CaptHindsight[m]: s/power/powder/
04:39 PM CaptHindsight[m]: https://youtu.be/kBHsfNDsbCs?t=28
04:44 PM CloudEvil: CaptHindsight[m]: two component foam?
04:44 PM CloudEvil: There was also that 'variable stiffness' filiment
04:49 PM CaptHindsight[m]: CloudEvil: no, it's a paste
04:50 PM CaptHindsight[m]: two component would involve isocyantes
04:50 PM XXCoder: ouch https://www.instagram.com/reel/CTh6bwuounf/?utm_medium=copy_link lol
04:50 PM CaptHindsight[m]: and it's difficult to control the thickness of 2k foam
04:50 PM CaptHindsight[m]: after mixing
04:58 PM roycroft: no problem with the isocyanates
04:58 PM roycroft: i have a supplied air respirator now!
04:59 PM CaptHindsight[m]: CloudEvil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nie1wggq5Rw too slow but is is low cost, I'd rather print in whole layers vs the old reprap way
05:00 PM CaptHindsight[m]: roycroft: \0/
05:01 PM CaptHindsight[m]: expandable foam is good enough for low resolution prints, not the focus of my interests
05:03 PM roycroft: well, my label printer arrived
05:03 PM roycroft: i ordered the basic printer, which comes with an ac adapter an a sample spool of labels
05:03 PM XXCoder: fancy
05:04 PM roycroft: their deal is that i order the printer and pay for it, and i would get to try it for a month and send it back for a full refund if i dont' like it
05:04 PM roycroft: so i ordered the basic printer and paid for that
05:04 PM roycroft: they sent me the deluxe kit which has a case, a lithium-ion battery, magnet mounts, computer interface cable, and some other stuff
05:05 PM roycroft: i'm glad i decided to try the thing out before purchasing a case for it
05:05 PM JT-Shop: what's your thoughts on it?
05:06 PM roycroft: it looks nice
05:06 PM XXCoder: weird shipping error
05:07 PM roycroft: it's the time of year that i need to let it warm up to room temperature before i plug it in and try it
05:07 PM roycroft: it's not really cold, but the outside humidity is about 100%
05:07 PM roycroft: i wasn't going to get the battery for it, but since it came with one, i'll probably charge it up and use it for initial testing
05:08 PM roycroft: i like that it loads from the front
05:08 PM roycroft: my panduit loads from the back, and it can be tricky to load
05:08 PM roycroft: it's fairly heavy for a hand-held device, and i've not installed the battery yet
05:09 PM roycroft: but that's not a big deal
05:09 PM roycroft: i'll use it on a bench top most of the time
05:09 PM roycroft: although if i install the magnets it can hang on the side of an equipment rack or piece of machinery, which is also nice
05:11 PM roycroft: there is room to store several tape/tubing cartridges in the provided case
05:12 PM CaptHindsight[m]: the cheap Dymo label printers don't come with a power port, AA batts only
05:12 PM roycroft: and until it warms up and i can charge the battery, that's all i can say about it
05:12 PM roycroft: i've never been able to use my panduit on batteries
05:12 PM CaptHindsight[m]: guess you have to put a power connector on yourself :/
05:12 PM roycroft: i've tried, but it always prints out faint labels
05:13 PM roycroft: i actually called tech support about that once, and they said that should not be so, and that i had a bad batch of label cartridges
05:13 PM roycroft: so they sent me a big box full of them overnight
05:13 PM roycroft: about $300 worth of labels
05:13 PM CloudEvil: Did it fix it?
05:13 PM roycroft: it still printed faintly
05:13 PM roycroft: no
05:13 PM CloudEvil: hah
05:13 PM roycroft: i got an ac adapter
05:13 PM roycroft: that fixed it
05:13 PM CaptHindsight[m]: roycroft: what type of Lithium battery did the printer come with?
05:13 PM roycroft: proprietary
05:14 PM _unreal_: proprietary hehe I doubt that
05:14 PM _unreal_: what kind of printer
05:14 PM roycroft: it uses 4 aa cells or the lithium battery, which fits inside the a cell compartment
05:14 PM roycroft: epson lw-px700
05:14 PM CaptHindsight[m]: what voltage is the AC adapter?
05:15 PM _unreal_: oh a lable maker
05:15 PM roycroft: the battery pack is an epson c52ce97010
05:16 PM CaptHindsight[m]: https://www.amazon.com/UpBright-AC-Epson-LabelWorks-LW-700/dp/B01DLRO5NQ
05:16 PM roycroft: the adapter is 11.0vdc 1.64a
05:17 PM _unreal_: wow thats a lot of power. for a thermal
05:17 PM roycroft: the printer has a "lifetime warranty"
05:17 PM roycroft: whatever that means
05:17 PM roycroft: hopefully it means that if i ever have a problem they'll just fix it or replace it
05:18 PM _unreal_: life time warrenty LOL means it will expire berfore you do
05:18 PM CaptHindsight[m]: unless you die, then all bets are off
05:18 PM roycroft: since my panduit does not work well on batteries, i should imagine that these label printers generally consume a lot of power
05:18 PM _unreal_: I'm afraid we are stuck with you roy
05:18 PM CaptHindsight[m]: thermal head
05:18 PM _unreal_: :)
05:18 PM roycroft: the battery pack is 7.2v, 1950mah
05:19 PM roycroft: you never know, _unreal_
05:19 PM roycroft: i could have a delayed negative reaction to the vaccine
05:19 PM _unreal_: not likely
05:19 PM _unreal_: would have shown already
05:19 PM roycroft: it's almost booster time
05:19 PM _unreal_: remember I use to be a nurse, med tech, and I did bio med
05:19 PM roycroft: so it's ok to get your hopes up
05:20 PM _unreal_: if the first one didnt do it the booster wont do it.
05:20 PM roycroft: i've already had two jabs
05:20 PM CaptHindsight[m]: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XiiWWhjGL.AC_SL1000.jpg would you use these tags in a machine control cabinet?
05:20 PM _unreal_: and your looking at a 24hr window for reaction
05:20 PM roycroft: i'm due for the third one
05:20 PM _unreal_: 3rd?
05:21 PM roycroft: what if the government spy chip has been stuck in my arm all this time and hasn't had a chance to migrate to my brain yet?
05:21 PM roycroft: when i get the third jab it might find its way up there
05:21 PM roycroft: yes, 3rd
05:21 PM roycroft: i got pfizer, which requires a second jab 3 weeks after the first
05:21 PM CaptHindsight[m]: I'm awaiting the results of the vaccine combos
05:21 PM _unreal_: nano tech is pre alpha stage
05:21 PM roycroft: and it's been almost six months since that second one
05:21 PM roycroft: so now it's time for the booster
05:22 PM CaptHindsight[m]: Pfizer with J&J
05:22 PM _unreal_: no vaccine lasts more then 6 months average
05:22 PM _unreal_: with out a viral challange. the body slows to reduction of the production of antibodies
05:23 PM roycroft: that first statement isn't quite true
05:23 PM roycroft: the second is fairly accurate
05:23 PM _unreal_: On average
05:23 PM roycroft: the smallpox vaccine, for example, lasts indefinitely
05:24 PM roycroft: not that anyone gets it any more
05:24 PM roycroft: since it's not a thing any more
05:24 PM roycroft: but when i got mine it was a once and done for life thing
05:24 PM CaptHindsight[m]: roycroft: just to be sure leave your cellphone outside your window as backup tracking
05:24 PM roycroft: yes, i would need to do that, as my cell phone does not work inside my house
05:24 PM _unreal_: I didnt say there are non. look at tetanus
05:24 PM roycroft: i'm sure that frustrates the trackers
05:25 PM _unreal_: small pox has been making a big come back in texas and cali close to the border
05:25 PM roycroft: this printer has several buttons that i don't understand
05:25 PM CaptHindsight[m]: how many layers of tin foil do you coat your walls with? :)
05:25 PM roycroft: but it does a lot of interesting networking-related things easily
05:26 PM roycroft: i have radiant ceiling heat in my house, capthindsight[m]
05:26 PM CaptHindsight[m]: why i don't understand the anti-vaxers, you can just wear your same tin foil hat
05:26 PM roycroft: and apparently the coils are spaced just far enough apart to make a nice 2.4ghz faraday chage
05:26 PM roycroft: cage
05:26 PM XXCoder: it just ened to be in multiples of
05:26 PM roycroft: i put a wifi access point in my attic once
05:26 PM roycroft: it did not work inside the house well
05:27 PM roycroft: i move it down into the living space, at the far end of the house
05:27 PM roycroft: it works fine at the other end of the house
05:27 PM CaptHindsight[m]: yeah you'd need to down convert the wifi to 400mhz to get it up and around the stairs
05:28 PM CaptHindsight[m]: 400mhz-ish is good for elevator shafts, stairways etc
05:35 PM CaptHindsight[m]: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01359-3
05:38 PM * JT-Shop take's five with Dave Brubreck
05:41 PM * JT-Shop got his booster yesterday
05:42 PM _unreal_: trying to figure out where I want to take my daughter outot for din din tonight
05:42 PM JT-Shop: Chucky Cheese
05:43 PM CaptHindsight[m]: JT-Shop: are you on Starlink yet?
05:43 PM JT-Shop: no
05:43 PM JT-Shop: it looks more expensive than what I currently have but I have not looked recently
05:44 PM JT-Shop: maybe some Ventures before returning to work
05:44 PM Tom_L: damn i hate setting up new phones
05:45 PM JT-Shop: yeah green onion
05:45 PM CaptHindsight[m]: skunkworks: any Starlink updates on the quality of service?
05:45 PM JT-Shop: I feel for you, I hate cleaning out the garage to make room for a ridgeline
05:45 PM Tom_L: you got it ordered yet?
05:45 PM Tom_L: or delivered...
05:46 PM JT-Shop: ordered it in April... they are building this month
05:46 PM Tom_L: nice
05:46 PM JT-Shop: new transmission upped the price by $400
05:48 PM JT-Shop: hmm rush is playing now... I think I'll just sit and relax
05:52 PM roguish[m]1: JT-Shop: why not an F150 electric ???
05:52 PM JT-Shop: do they have any?
05:53 PM JT-Shop: no, dodge, jeep a few chevy I've seen
05:53 PM JT-Shop: the only ford I've owned is a 65 yellow mustang with 200 6 floor shift and bench seats and a 66 mustang
05:55 PM JT-Shop: so there will be 3 honda's in a row in the garage... and a corvette
05:55 PM skunkworks: CaptHindsight[m]: it is constantly getting better/
05:56 PM skunkworks: hey - anyone know why my stretch system won't upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2?
05:56 PM skunkworks: apt-get update/upgrade doesn't see it
05:56 PM JT-Shop: debian?
05:56 PM skunkworks: yes
05:56 PM JT-Shop: odd... I use apt update and apt dist-upgrade
05:57 PM JT-Shop: 2.8.2 here
05:58 PM skunkworks: I have deb http://linuxcnc.org/ stretch base
05:58 PM skunkworks: and deb http://linuxcnc.org/ stretch 2.8-rtpreempt
05:59 PM JT-Shop: maybe some fleetwood mac before retiring for the day
05:59 PM skunkworks: (I changed those yesterday and got 2.8.1)
05:59 PM * Tom_L feels JT-Shop is on a roll
06:00 PM Tom_L: skunkworks, i had issues updating buster the other day trying to install that new mesaflash
06:00 PM JT-Shop: it's not new, just released...
06:00 PM Tom_L: seb helped me get on the path again
06:01 PM Tom_L: one i had to reenter the security key
06:01 PM Tom_L: debian had moved some stuff so i had to fix that
06:03 PM skunkworks: hmm - weird
06:09 PM skunkworks: Ah - I used the build bot deb lines... that worked.
06:10 PM skunkworks: again - weird
06:20 PM roycroft: they renamed the buster stable branch "oldstable" when bullseye was released
06:21 PM roycroft: oddly, i found that doing buster ugprdes to 10.10 on some machines automatically changed source.list and did the update, while on others i was prompted to ok the renaming
06:21 PM roycroft: i install all machines the same way, so i'm not sure why that happened
06:23 PM roycroft: it may be because some were on 10.7, some on 10.8, and some on 10.9
06:34 PM roycroft: this printer does a brilliant job
06:34 PM roycroft: the tape rewind feature makes it better than the other brands, hands down
06:35 PM roycroft: i need to go shrink these labels onto some wire now and see how that goes
06:45 PM Tom_L: link?
06:47 PM roycroft: link to what?
06:48 PM Tom_L: printer
06:48 PM roycroft: oh
06:49 PM roycroft: https://labelworks.epson.com/printers/lw-px700/epson-labelworks-px-lw-px700-deluxe-kit.html
06:49 PM roycroft: that's what they sent me
06:50 PM Tom_L: it prints direct to shrink tube>
06:50 PM Tom_L: ?
06:51 PM roycroft: yes
06:51 PM Tom_L: nice
06:51 PM roycroft: that's why i bought it
06:51 PM Tom_L: i don't need one but it is nice
06:51 PM roycroft: and regarding the rewind feature
06:51 PM Tom_L: how do you set the size of shrink tube?
06:52 PM roycroft: on my p-touch labelers. i waste probably half of the label media because it needs to push so much out to get to the cutter
06:52 PM roycroft: the epson rewinds after cutting so there is only 4mm margin at each end of the label (or more, if you want)
06:52 PM roycroft: you buy printer cartridges full of shrink tube
06:52 PM Tom_L: oh
06:53 PM roycroft: and they are expensive
06:53 PM roycroft: but so is all shrink tubing
06:53 PM Tom_L: that's where they gey ya
06:53 PM Tom_L: get
06:53 PM roycroft: but the rewind feature makes it worth while
06:53 PM roycroft: i'd go broke if i bought the brother shrink tube printer
07:01 PM roycroft: roycroft.us/EpsonLabels.jpeg
07:01 PM roycroft: just a quick test
07:01 PM roycroft: the upper wires are 18ga, with 1/8" tubing
07:01 PM roycroft: the green wire in the middle is 14ga, with 5/16" tubing
07:02 PM roycroft: the bottom wires are 12ga, with the same 5/16" tubing
07:02 PM roycroft: i say the machine works as advertised
07:03 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/how_to/atmega168/breadboard_basic_side.jpg
07:03 PM Tom_L: :)
07:03 PM Tom_L: that's my answer to the printer
07:03 PM Tom_L: not as nice
07:03 PM roycroft: i've been using wrap-around labels with shrink tubing over the label for years
07:04 PM roycroft: i was running low on some of the smaller size wrap-around labels, and decided to look into shrink tubing printers, and was pleasantly surprised at the cost and capability of them
07:05 PM roycroft: especially when i ordered the bare-bones kit and they sent me the deluxe kit
07:05 PM roycroft: they even gave me 20% off, so i only paid $73 and change for the printer
07:06 PM roycroft: and btw, i did not trim those labels - those are the actual margins
07:12 PM CaptHindsight[m]: how about 12V?
07:14 PM CaptHindsight[m]: https://wiringproducts.com/products/white-heat-shrink-tubing-4ft-stick
07:41 PM skunkworks: CaptHindsight[m]: parents love starlink..
07:41 PM skunkworks: paying less and getting 100x the speed
07:44 PM XXCoder: does starkink have per mb cost?
07:50 PM skunkworks: not yes....
07:50 PM skunkworks: not yet..
07:56 PM CloudEvil: It is designed for orders of magnitude more capacity than conventional sat providers
08:02 PM CloudEvil: There is also the FCC funding that they're going for requires a minimum quota of 2tb/o
08:02 PM CloudEvil: mo
08:02 PM CloudEvil: so that's a hard cap in one direction
08:31 PM skunkworks: Elon jus said they are going to go for 10Gb service.. That would be amazing. The 200Mb is pretty amazing currently
08:31 PM skunkworks: when you are used to 5 on a good day
08:46 PM snakedGT is now known as snaked
09:49 PM roycroft: excellent, there are third party labels for this new printer
09:51 PM t4nk_freenode: so, CaptHindsight[m], I got my pi4 installed... put linuxcnc on there, and remora
09:51 PM t4nk_freenode: got No idea what to do with it, hehe,
09:52 PM t4nk_freenode: but it's back to freecad for now to continue working on my dust shoe
09:54 PM Tom_L: you have a mesa card for it?
09:55 PM t4nk_freenode: the test version is attached to my spindle.. which doesn't seem very clever.. but the suction is enormous, I think I can design something with a spring or so, so I can have a dynamic shoe
09:55 PM t4nk_freenode: oh no, Tom_L, I have some stm32 board, and a couple of tmc2209 drivers
09:57 PM t4nk_freenode: so I want to be looking to use the raspberry pi to run linuxcnc, and the stm32 board as a translator I guess
09:57 PM t4nk_freenode: I have grbl running on it now
10:05 PM t4nk_freenode: awwww, I forgot to save my dustshoe project... only got the stl for 3d printing left
10:08 PM Tom_L: might be quite a challenge
10:10 PM t4nk_freenode: the dustshoe you mean, or the stm32?
10:11 PM t4nk_freenode: the shoe is really necessary though ;)
10:11 PM t4nk_freenode: but it's quite interesting, nice challenge to make it work
10:12 PM t4nk_freenode: but it has potential
10:12 PM XXCoder: sphere tires https://www.tiretechnologyinternational.com/news/new-tires-news/goodyear-develops-bespoke-eagle-360-spherical-concept-tire-for-citroen.html
10:12 PM Tom_L: interfacing to the stm32
10:12 PM t4nk_freenode: as for getting somewhere with linuxcnc and stm32... I ll need to get up to speed about linuxcnc
10:15 PM t4nk_freenode: well, I still haven't spent any time with it, but this remora component is supposed to be working for LPC17xx already
10:16 PM t4nk_freenode: and I'm not really afraid of that... except for the fact that I'll need to know what I'm doing in the first place
10:17 PM t4nk_freenode: so far I just fired up 'linuxcnc' a few times and that was it. well.. I looked at some Axis screen
10:18 PM t4nk_freenode: and that wasn't very enlightening

11:21 PM t4nk_freenode: but tonight I'llbe dreaming of a nice dustshoe.
11:21 PM t4nk_freenode: g'night
