01:26 AM unterhaus: after all that, I found the belt to my lathe
01:32 AM unterhaus: really want to get rid of those map cases, they take up lots of space
01:32 AM XXCoder: yay
01:32 AM XXCoder: i want to try wood lathe
01:32 AM XXCoder: but i has no idea how to set it lol
01:32 AM XXCoder: i dont really want to buy em and find out i dont like it lol
01:40 AM gloops: pole lathe is easy enough to make, better with a motor though
01:41 AM XXCoder: honestly my plan in long term is make long 4th axis for cnc router (big version)
01:41 AM XXCoder: that cnc router also would have a drop down table table like that awesome one
01:41 AM gloops: they were used for turning green wood - cuts very easy
01:41 AM XXCoder: for end of part milling
01:42 AM gloops: oh yeah i did that lol
01:42 AM XXCoder: drop down table?
01:42 AM gloops: like a vertical machining surface?
01:43 AM XXCoder: well sort of
01:43 AM XXCoder: its still cnc router and short height
01:43 AM XXCoder: its just so stock thats much longer than that can be milled on end with that feature
01:46 AM gloops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL18xJf0_Do
01:46 AM XXCoder: thats similiar idea yeah
01:46 AM gloops: that was first attempt, worked so well i moved it to the end of the machine so its a permanent feature
01:47 AM gloops: dovetails, box joints, tenons - perfect
01:47 AM XXCoder: too much shaking. made me dizzy bleh
01:48 AM XXCoder: i hate how my brain works
01:48 AM gloops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J82ggHEGOt4
01:48 AM gloops: yeah ought to use tripod or something
01:49 AM gloops: my stuff isnt glamorous enough for videos though i dont make many
01:50 AM gloops: i was going to add 4th axis for rotary to that table, but decided i wanted an independent rotary router, so it wouldnt stop the 3 axis from working
01:50 AM gloops: and its still waiting to be mad
01:50 AM gloops: made
01:52 AM XXCoder: cool. whats you make usually?
01:53 AM gloops: other option for working on ends is pantorouter, some good examples of those made from plywood on youtube
01:54 AM gloops: well in 2 years since the router was running i worked it flat out for about 7 months making small wooden signs, but with other work, lockdowns, back injury, wife one thing or another i havent got it up and running atm lol
01:56 AM XXCoder: im also trying to figure things out
01:56 AM XXCoder: laid off few months ago
01:56 AM XXCoder: nonstop dizzyness for 10 weeks now, back hurts more than ever lol
01:56 AM XXCoder: so much fun
01:58 AM gloops: yeah, begins to play on the mind after a while
02:00 AM gloops: https://ibb.co/C25ycch
02:00 AM roycroft: i'm fortunate that i'm still working, but i injured my knee a few weeks ago and that's making pretty much everything more difficult than it should be
02:00 AM gloops: sold loads of those on ebay
02:00 AM roycroft: and now we're on lockdown again for at least a couple weeks
02:01 AM XXCoder: thats cool signs
02:01 AM XXCoder: i did wonder about those, though i also wanted my own artwork somewhat related to my culture
02:01 AM gloops: https://ibb.co/8NfMYpy
02:02 AM gloops: its too easy to make these XXCoder lol, easy on your Xcarve
02:02 AM XXCoder: i dont have one xcarve
02:02 AM XXCoder: i do have a cnc router but no cam yet
02:02 AM XXCoder: estl isnt too bad but theyre adding so much crap to it
02:04 AM gloops: started doing painted ones https://ibb.co/B2WtSqr
02:05 AM XXCoder: that does look nice
02:06 AM gloops: https://ibb.co/9t9xtM6
02:06 AM gloops: got thousands of pics and folders of gcode lol, some the house names you get are bizarre
02:10 AM XXCoder: interesting
02:15 AM gloops: https://ibb.co/cvbpdKN
02:18 AM XXCoder: lol could be almost codeword
02:19 AM gloops: https://ibb.co/vdr3jJJ
02:19 AM gloops: had to wonder about some lol
02:19 AM XXCoder: yeah thats slightly worse than last one
02:21 AM gloops: i wanted to make much more elaborate stuff but finally accepted it was probably better to smart small and very simple, can make a wage at it with those
02:22 AM XXCoder: competition is really that low?
02:22 AM gloops: theres a lot at it on ebay but quality is pretty poor on most of them
02:22 AM XXCoder: interesting
02:22 AM gloops: only takes a few weeks once you start putting adds on youll be busy
02:23 AM gloops: getting *good* photos is important
02:24 AM gloops: i found pretty quick, finishing is the enemy, you have to work a system out that totally minimises finishing, or you end up sanding and painting all day
02:25 AM XXCoder: yeah higher quality at start, the easier finish
02:30 AM XXCoder: anyway yeah dunno if i want to do sign biz lol
02:33 AM gloops: lol, same probably applies to anything, pick your product, perfect the system, get the ads out
02:34 AM gloops: might not be so much demand for signs where you live anyway, dunno, some places in usa seem to have loads of signs, others dont, suppose it depends how the post works there, as to howfar you can practically send
02:37 AM gloops: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Personalised-Oak-House-Signs-Carved-Custom-engraved-outdoor-wooden-name-plaque/163658228045?
02:37 AM gloops: thats one on ebay now here, look at the E in cottage and the E in View
02:37 AM XXCoder: depth issues
02:38 AM gloops: carved shallower on one corner, bord might be bowed or planed uneven
02:38 AM gloops: and thats his ad photo
02:45 AM XXCoder: yeah
02:49 AM gloops: thing with small routers at home, youre basically looking for the scraps the big guys dont want to mess about with
02:49 AM gloops: or make something intricate that again doesnt suit big fast industrial machines
02:50 AM XXCoder: yeah i think im focusing a bit on my culture artwork. nothing fancy though
02:50 AM gloops: what culture is it?
02:50 AM XXCoder: deaf
02:51 AM gloops: oh right yeah, well thats probably a niche many wont explore, and youve got the specialist knowledge
02:51 AM XXCoder: yeah
02:51 AM XXCoder: theres bunch of bullshit people reading asl in book and "teaching" on youtube
02:52 AM XXCoder: stupid
02:53 AM gloops: if they think theres money in it theyll be there lol
02:53 AM XXCoder: yeah
04:44 AM JT-Cave: morning
04:44 AM XXCoder: heyyyy
04:49 AM * Loetmichel should consider to take less coffeein... just made a bug of coffee by pressing the "espresso button" on the machine 5 times... that cant be healthy :)
05:47 AM JT-Cave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwdHLO1n1Uk
05:47 AM XXCoder: did you get it working well?
05:48 AM XXCoder: its unwatchable for me unfortunately. too much handheld type video
05:48 AM JT-Cave: that was a test of the pwm
05:50 AM XXCoder: successful? i see light lighting up
05:50 AM XXCoder: paused and clicked though timeline heh
05:50 AM Tom_L: morning
05:51 AM XXCoder: yo
05:51 AM Tom_L: 38F hi 68
05:52 AM XXCoder: man your area vary a lot
05:52 AM XXCoder: no ocean right?
05:52 AM Tom_L: not in the dead center of the US no
05:52 AM XXCoder: lol
05:52 AM JT-Cave: same here 36°F to 64°F
05:53 AM XXCoder: 45 to 51f today
05:55 AM JT-Cave: yea I'm not quite in the middle 1k to the east and 1.7k to the west coast and only 500 miles to the gulf coast
05:55 AM XXCoder: me, my old home if i walked west for a hour, i'd have drowned in inlet sea lol
05:55 AM XXCoder: now its couple hours of walking to do same
05:57 AM JT-Cave: I used to live a couple of blocks from the gulf when I lived in Pascagoula MS
05:58 AM XXCoder: nice
06:20 AM JT-Cave: hmm Dewalt has blue tooth battery pack
06:53 AM Deejay: hi
07:07 AM gloops: downloaded 'Electronics for Dummies' 7 books...think i need to send for the paper version ill never read this on a screen
07:12 AM Centurion-Dan2 is now known as Centurion_Dan
07:37 AM jymmmm: morning
07:50 AM skunkworks: andypugh: do you know https://www.youtube.com/c/funksterdotorg/videos
07:51 AM skunkworks: his content an production is way better than mine.. :)
08:23 AM gregcnc: did Elon get to be at his rocket launch last night? or did he work from home?
08:24 AM gloops: he had covid twice yesterday
08:24 AM gloops: and twice he didnt have it
08:24 AM gregcnc: yes and was negative twice as well, so which results did they go by?
08:24 AM gregcnc: just curious
08:26 AM gloops: would think youd probably go by the positive to be safe
08:27 AM gregcnc: it's just curious that the 1 in a million stories of some getting it twice are headline "news" but his test results are not
08:28 AM gloops: think more and more being re-infected, immunity doesnt last long, and new variations appearing
08:30 AM gregcnc: so that kind of deburring tools for a part with inside and outside ~5mm radii
08:31 AM gregcnc: the edge is a 90° corner and i have some random rotary burrs I use in a dremel
08:31 AM gregcnc: is the dremel too fast or my burrs bite too much? tough to get consistent results that are nice and smooth
08:35 AM gloops: wouldnt really know, experiment, https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/516ggnNeY-L._SX342_.jpg
08:35 AM gloops: that kind of thing, or a hand reamer maybe
08:36 AM gregcnc: right that's the kind of thing i'm using
08:37 AM gloops: maybe in a drill press if you dont want to wander with hand held
08:38 AM jymmmm: gregcnc: maybe the angle is too deep?
08:39 AM gregcnc: dunno do they come in different flavors?
08:39 AM jymmmm: gregcnc: I was thinking a 90 or 120 degree stone
08:40 AM gregcnc: part is aluminum
08:40 AM jymmmm: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Stone-Rotary-Grinding-Shank/dp/B01LDXW9ZQ
08:41 AM jymmmm: gregcnc: 1/8" shank https://www.amazon.com/Abrasive-Grinding-Polishing-Accessories-Attachment/dp/B07567NWV6
08:42 AM gregcnc: i have crap like that. the thing that seemed to work best was a cratex cylinder, but they wore very quickly
08:45 AM jymmmm: just an idea
08:50 AM jymmmm: Tom_L: FYI... The "wings" that are produced from that hydraulic crimper won't work on SB50 connectors
08:56 AM Tom_L: jymmmm, was i curious about those?
08:57 AM jymmmm: Tom_L: SB50 connectors are the kind that are used on forklift batteries, 300A
08:58 AM Tom_L: gregcnc, i would think the burr tool would chatter
08:59 AM jymmmm: Tom_L: If gonna spend $70 for a hex crimper, kinda expect a hex, not wings =)
09:00 AM Tom_L: gregcnc, this won't fit the bill? https://www.grainger.com/product/SHAVIV-Deburring-Tool-Set-45NX41
09:02 AM Tom_L: at what point do you just toss it in a vibra tumbler?
09:03 AM jymmmm: gregcnc: https://www.harborfreight.com/countersink-and-deburring-tool-set-3-pc-61629.html
09:03 AM Tom_L: ok for holes but not open curves
09:04 AM Tom_L: https://cogsdill.com/products/deburring-tools/
09:04 AM Tom_L: interesting
09:04 AM gregcnc: wht makes it hard is the small radius features
09:04 AM Tom_L: i've never seen one of those
09:04 AM Tom_L: but it's not for your application
09:05 AM Tom_L: gregcnc, right
09:05 AM gregcnc: hopefully next time I make these i can deburr right in the lathe
09:06 AM Tom_L: check their "ellipti-burr"
09:07 AM Tom_L: still more for holes than edges
09:08 AM gregcnc: round diamond needle file seems effective
09:08 AM Tom_L: tumbler isn't an option?
09:09 AM jymmmm: CNC File FTW
09:09 AM gregcnc: not for just one edge of the part
09:09 AM Tom_L: ok
09:11 AM Tom_L: quicker done on the cnc if possible
09:11 AM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/Mill_Steel/Assembly/Final/Vise_parts/Speedhandle2.jpg
09:11 AM gregcnc: next time I run these it will be done in the lathe, i have another live tool now
09:11 AM Tom_L: exagerated more than you want but you get the idea
09:12 AM Tom_L: is there an edge callout?
09:13 AM gregcnc: well yeah, but this is a lathe part and not in a subs spindle, so lining up the second to chamfer the back of this flange isn't trivial
09:13 AM Tom_L: mine always ends up deeper because i keep forgetting the chamfer doesn't go to an exact point when i program it
09:16 AM Tom_L: no access to burr it with a hook tool from the front?
09:17 AM skunkworks: Tom_L: you were wondering if I was around?
09:17 AM gregcnc: i didn't have the live tools at the time
09:17 AM Tom_L: well damn, now i see you are :)
09:17 AM Tom_L: skunkworks, i found what i was after
09:18 AM skunkworks: ah - great! I love it when things get figured out because I am slow to respond.. :)
09:19 AM Tom_L: was showing somebody your tapping video
09:19 AM Tom_L: the 1" tap
09:31 AM skunkworks: dad wants to do a 2" rigid tapping video.. :)
09:31 AM skunkworks: Just because
09:32 AM Tom_L: i'd like to see that
09:36 AM stavm87: Hi all, grateful for some help
09:37 AM stavm87: I'm a noob and have a CNC-Step HighZ S-720-T
09:37 AM * Tom_L gives stavm87 a spoonful of help
09:37 AM stavm87: Looking for some assistance to set it up for LinuxCNC
09:38 AM stavm87: Zero3 Controller
09:40 AM Tom_L: looks self contained
09:42 AM Tom_L: looks like if possible it would require 2 parallel ports
09:43 AM stavm87: When you say self contained you mean?
09:44 AM Tom_L: https://www.cnc-step.com/wp-content/uploads/2015-03-14-Operating-Instructions-Zero-3-35A_EN.pdf
09:44 AM Tom_L: have you read that?
09:46 AM stavm87: Yes, I have this. If I understand it correctly, I'll need to run Stepconf, use the O
09:46 AM stavm87: "Other" driver type and set the pins to what this user manual suggests
09:46 AM Tom_L: sounds like you're off to a start then
09:46 AM stavm87: ok thanks, i'll persevere
09:47 AM Tom_L: assign your parallel port pins to the signals required
09:47 AM stavm87: ok thanks
09:48 AM Tom_L: X1 X2 may be for a 2 stepper gantry setup, i dunno
09:48 AM stavm87: thanks, does cycle refer to step?
09:49 AM Tom_L: got me
09:49 AM Tom_L: probably
09:49 AM stavm87: ok
12:31 PM veegee: Hmmmm how do I transport my forklift now?
12:32 PM veegee: I'm trying to find a place that will let me rent a tilt bed trailer
12:32 PM veegee: Could also just outright buy a tilt bed trailer, not that expensive, but don't have space to store such a thing
12:34 PM veegee: It's located 120km away. Hiring someone to transport it would be really expensive :(
12:35 PM roycroft: buy the trailer, move the fork lift, then sell the trailer
12:35 PM roycroft: add some bling to the trailer to add value, and you'll be able to profit from the sale
12:48 PM serp: bedazzle it
01:07 PM gregcnc: 30" weelz
01:08 PM gregcnc: Try the places that rent scissor lifts
02:03 PM gloops: always someone knocking around with a recovery truck or flatbed looking for jobs
02:18 PM snakedGT is now known as snaked
02:50 PM jymmmm: Loetmichel: you alive?
02:58 PM t4nk_freenode: that's a damned tough question, jymmmm, how could he reply if he were'nt hehe
02:59 PM t4nk_freenode: *weren't, let's stay civil here.
03:01 PM jymmmm: zombie, living dead, etc
03:07 PM JT-Shop: damn I'll be glad to be done with this fence and gates
05:05 PM s6d7XSaB_ is now known as {HD}
05:59 PM Centurion-Dan2 is now known as Centurion_Dan
06:27 PM JT-Cave: damn I'm in python 3 import hell now, can't freaking import from a file in the same directory\
06:28 PM Tom_L: odd
06:28 PM Tom_L: caps not biting are they?
06:30 PM XXCoder: :(
06:39 PM Centurion-Dan2 is now known as Centurion_Dan
06:49 PM TekniQue: it seems Linuxcnc switched to mesa for the build system
06:50 PM TekniQue: but no document found anywhere mentions that fact
06:50 PM TekniQue: or how to fucking build it now
06:50 PM Tom_L: what are you talking about?
06:50 PM XXCoder: yeah unsure also as only MESA i know is hardware to control cnc system
06:51 PM Tom_L: mesa is popular because it it good but i know of no build system it has for linuxcnc
06:52 PM TekniQue: meson
06:52 PM TekniQue: not mesa
06:52 PM TekniQue: all the documentation says run autogen.sh
06:52 PM TekniQue: but there's no autogen.sh
06:52 PM Tom_L: still aren't clear where this is going
06:52 PM TekniQue: but there is a meson file
06:52 PM Tom_L: what is meson?
06:52 PM Tom_L: never heard of it
06:53 PM TekniQue: it's a piece of Python AIDS
06:53 PM Tom_L: still not helpful
06:53 PM TekniQue: that is replacing gnu Make and associated tools
06:53 PM Tom_L: the last 2.8 release still uses make afik and i have built it
06:54 PM Tom_L: you're not using some polluted branch are you?
06:54 PM TekniQue: no I'm using master straight from github
06:54 PM TekniQue: can't find any place to download a 2.8 release
06:54 PM TekniQue: the download page is just useless ISOs
06:55 PM Tom_L: yes for good reason
06:55 PM Tom_L: some graphic libs were left out of buster so they were included in the iso build
06:55 PM Tom_L: stretch had them but buster doesn't
06:56 PM Tom_L: so, no they are not useless
06:56 PM Tom_L: feel free to build it from source
06:56 PM TekniQue: well, this Debian image won't run on my Intel NUC
06:56 PM TekniQue: so I had to install something that works
06:56 PM TekniQue: won't run Xorg
07:04 PM TekniQue: well I can see why the ISOs are preferred, because the build system is so broken
07:05 PM Tom_L: https://gnipsel.com/linuxcnc/uspace/debian10-emc.html
07:06 PM TekniQue: but I wish there were packages for something that actually works like Ubuntu, Debian must be shipping a 15 year old version of Xorg that isn't compatible with computers manufactured in the past 5 years, and building Xorg does not sound less painful than building linuxcnc
07:06 PM Tom_L: TekniQue, Because gscreen has never been updated and still depends on python-gtsourceview you need to add it manually… what a pia but whatever
07:06 PM Tom_L: that was what i was referring to
07:06 PM Tom_L: from JT's page
07:08 PM unterhaus: i'm looking at the git repository and there is an autogen.sh in src
07:10 PM TekniQue: ah, I was looking for it in the root directory
07:10 PM TekniQue: where everyone else always puts it
07:10 PM unterhaus: the build instructions on linuxcnc.org told me where to look, been 10 years since I built it
07:14 PM TekniQue: yeah I was looking at the instructions but I missed the /src part
07:14 PM TekniQue: but I saw a meson.build file in the root and assumed all the makefile stuff had been removed
07:14 PM TekniQue: as is pretty popular today
07:44 PM TekniQue: configure: error: boost::python is required to build LinuxCNC
07:45 PM TekniQue: python dependencies are the worst
07:45 PM Tom_L: did you see jt's list?
07:45 PM Tom_L: the gnipsel.com post above
07:45 PM TekniQue: yes
07:46 PM TekniQue: ran all of that
07:46 PM TekniQue: but python is being python
07:46 PM TekniQue: libboost-python-dev is installed
07:46 PM TekniQue: but linuxcnc doesn't find it
07:47 PM TekniQue: now if I change /usr/bin/python to link to python2.7 instead of python3.8 I get a different problem
07:47 PM roycroft: python is as bad as php in that respect
07:47 PM roycroft: a pox on all scripting languages!
07:49 PM TekniQue: Python is only good for applications that need to be run once and never again
07:49 PM TekniQue: it's impossible to maintain python code
07:49 PM TekniQue: as seen by all the garbage that still relies on python 2
07:50 PM TekniQue: I mean it's bad enough that the interpreter breaks old applications like that
07:50 PM roycroft: as loathesome and utterly horrible as perl is, it has one thing going for it - it's been around for so bloody long now that it's not a moving target any more
07:50 PM roycroft: i'm not defending perl
07:50 PM TekniQue: but because python is inherently unmaintainable it becomes a nightmare
07:50 PM roycroft: and i won't use it
07:51 PM roycroft: but perl code ages better than most other scripting languages these days, that's all i'm saying
07:51 PM roycroft: perl is still write-only, and utterly unmaintainable
07:51 PM TekniQue: yes
07:51 PM roycroft: it just doesn't break any more once it works
07:53 PM roycroft: the rule for writing perl is this: there are many ways to perform any task in perl, and every perl script must use as many of those techniques as possible
07:53 PM TekniQue: the Perl folks at least had the good sense to oust the creation of perl 6
07:53 PM TekniQue: and perl 6 became called something else
07:54 PM TekniQue: so it's still perl 5
07:54 PM TekniQue: as it was 25 years ago
07:54 PM TekniQue: and that's why that old code still works
08:01 PM TekniQue: checking for /usr/include/python3.8/Python.h... no
08:01 PM TekniQue: configure: error: Required header Python.h missing. Install it, or specify --disable-python to skip the parts of LinuxCNC that depend on Python
08:01 PM TekniQue: with Python the fun never ends
08:02 PM TekniQue: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3615 Jul 28 12:59 /usr/include/python3.8/Python.h
08:02 PM TekniQue: the file exists but configure won't accept it
08:17 PM TekniQue: well fingers crossed, installed python-tk 2.7
08:18 PM TekniQue: and made python2.7 the symlink target for /usr/bin/python
08:18 PM TekniQue: let's see if it builds
08:19 PM TekniQue: ImportError: No module named yapps
08:20 PM TekniQue: yet another python problem
08:21 PM TekniQue: success, it built
08:29 PM TekniQue: and the program runs but I seem to be missing a font, the DRO is all screwed up
09:29 PM skunkworks: http://electronicsam.com/images/greenmachine/IMG_20201116_211816.jpg
09:30 PM Tom_L: in the garage?
09:32 PM Tom_L: skunkworks, you got room for this now: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/cad-station.jpg
09:36 PM skunkworks: Heh - no - basement. Some idiot used fiberglass insulation and I have not gotten around to changing it.
09:36 PM skunkworks: So - it is what it is
09:37 PM skunkworks: 20 year plan
09:37 PM skunkworks: my tinker corner when it is too cold in the garage and can't make it to the shop
09:38 PM Tom_L: run cat 6 out to the garage
09:38 PM Tom_L: or in your case fiber :)
09:38 PM Tom_L: since you got the new splicer
09:39 PM skunkworks: Heh - cat 6 already run.. but yes - fiber would be nice.
09:40 PM XXCoder: cat number 6 ran eh. send out animal capture ;)
09:40 PM Tom_L: yeah cat 5 is old
09:41 PM XXCoder: how much money to run power and water to a shop? was wondering
09:44 PM skunkworks: ? You have a shop without power?
09:44 PM skunkworks: how does that work?
09:44 PM XXCoder: nah no shop yet
09:44 PM XXCoder: it need to exist first ;)
09:45 PM XXCoder: just was wondering on how much to run those 2 utilities in
09:45 PM skunkworks: When I built the garage - I ran the service to the garage first - the back fed the house..
09:45 PM XXCoder: your house had no power before garage was built?
09:45 PM skunkworks: *switched the service to the garage..
09:45 PM XXCoder: oh
09:46 PM skunkworks: (house is old with 100a service)
09:46 PM skunkworks: garage has a 200a service with a 100a breaker feeding the house.
09:47 PM XXCoder: think house is 200a
09:47 PM XXCoder: theres certainly many 10a and more breakers
09:47 PM XXCoder: or maybe expection is that most would stay under limit dunno
09:49 PM Tom_L: didn't cost me much at all
09:49 PM Tom_L: i had the conduits in when i did the garage
09:50 PM XXCoder: "not much" depends on person :)
09:50 PM Tom_L: run the garage off a breaker from the house
09:50 PM XXCoder: is 10 thousand dollars?
09:50 PM Tom_L: and a roll of black pipe got water out there
09:51 PM Tom_L: a pannel for the garage and some flex conduit. i had the wire
09:51 PM Tom_L: put a floor drain in when i poured the floor too
09:51 PM Tom_L: right now, the water is capped off since i don't use it much there
09:56 PM XXCoder: cool :)
09:56 PM XXCoder: so, how much was it?
09:57 PM Tom_L: no idea that was years ago
09:58 PM XXCoder: drat lol wanted to have some basis pricing etc
10:00 PM roycroft: i'm watching "the queen's gambit" on netflix
10:00 PM Tom_L: yours would be different anyway
10:00 PM roycroft: while i'm not one to binge watch, this show is tempting
10:00 PM Tom_L: i had stuff in place before i ran it
10:00 PM roycroft: it's every bit as good as folks say it is
10:01 PM XXCoder: yeah. i want power connection to run cnc router, as well as various wood tools
10:01 PM Tom_L: what do you need water for?
10:02 PM XXCoder: cleaning stuff as well as other stuff
10:02 PM roycroft: like staying alive?
10:02 PM XXCoder: could use water for coolant if needed, if not running wood
11:03 PM roycroft: yay!
11:04 PM roycroft: john oliver just blowed up 2020, and he blowed it up *real* good!
11:04 PM XXCoder: ?
11:04 PM roycroft: he did a repeat of his 2016 final show, but better
11:07 PM * roycroft always appreciates a well-executed explosion
11:07 PM XXCoder: yeah i have no idea what youre talking about :)
11:08 PM roycroft: you don't ever watch 'last week tonight'?
11:08 PM XXCoder: nah
