12:53 AM Deejay: hi
05:23 AM JT-Cave: morning
05:23 AM XXCoder: yo
05:25 AM JT-Cave: need to find some breadboards for just a single dip
06:11 AM JT-Cave: XXCoder, making a sunrise/sunset light from a DotStar string for the chickens
06:12 AM XXCoder: led strings eh
06:12 AM JT-Cave: yea, addressable with SPI
06:12 AM XXCoder: will it be on outer cover roof?
06:12 AM JT-Cave: inside
06:12 AM XXCoder: so inside coop itself?
06:13 AM XXCoder: when i said outer I meant underside of it heh
06:13 AM JT-Cave: yea inside the coop on top of a board I think
06:13 AM XXCoder: if I remember right you have coop and a fenced in roof
06:13 AM XXCoder: cool
06:14 AM JT-Cave: actually I have two coops and each has a covered run that is enclosed in cage wire and the hens also have a 5' chain link fence yard to play in... still working on the yard for the new ones
06:15 AM XXCoder: nice :)
06:15 AM XXCoder: been selling eggs or eating em all?
06:15 AM JT-Cave: gotta clear some trees out and add some fill dirt first then I can fence it in
06:18 AM XXCoder: awesome :)
06:28 AM _unreal_: oh man Iwoke up having to pee bad
06:33 AM JT-Cave: https://ibb.co/CJR4MCd
06:33 AM JT-Cave: working on the python code to fade from dark to day and back
06:33 AM XXCoder: strightforward gui
06:33 AM JT-Cave: coordinated with dawn to sunrise and sunset to dusk
06:34 AM JT-Cave: yeah that's just a test gui while I sort out the code
06:34 AM JT-Cave: the percentage bar represents the light level
06:36 AM XXCoder: yeah thats what I figured
06:37 AM JT-Cave: time to clean chicken poop lol
06:38 AM XXCoder: fu
06:38 AM XXCoder: you use it in compost?
07:14 AM Tom_L: hi
07:14 AM XXCoder: yo
07:21 AM Tom_L: 67F / 92 Hi
07:21 AM XXCoder: your low is one lower than my high
08:04 AM JT-Cave: hmm the video download thingy on firefox no longer works
08:13 AM JT-Cave: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081VDSSMM when I got these it didn't look like the rows were connected but viewed at just the right angle with the candling light I can see the traces
09:10 AM jymmmm: morning
09:14 AM Tom_L: hi
09:22 AM jymmmm: Tom_L: how's it goin?
09:30 AM _unreal_: well back to milling my part
09:31 AM _unreal_: I cant wait to get this new STOP setup and working :)
09:32 AM _unreal_: will be nice to have my drill press be able to LOCK its head at a set depth.
09:38 AM _unreal_: god thats weird, ths time the spindle isnt making much heat. last night it was stupid hot. had a fan on it. its clearly the bearing but just weird
09:52 AM _unreal_: and the spindle is running stone cold again
09:52 AM _unreal_: WTF
09:53 AM SpeedEvil: It's melted into a shiny cast steel surface
09:59 AM gloops: lol
10:01 AM _unreal_: sucks I dont have the ablity to have good chip removale
10:01 AM _unreal_: removal
10:02 AM _unreal_: I have to pause and clean after each pass
10:03 AM _unreal_: 1/8th bit down 14mm in an aluminum plate :S
10:03 AM _unreal_: being a bedroom machine cant have a nice forced air chip removal :( and vacuum would be useless
10:03 AM _unreal_: sigh
10:03 AM gloops: fridge compressors are quiet, not very sucky though
10:05 AM _unreal_: not much for air volume ether.
10:05 AM _unreal_: heh
10:05 AM _unreal_: and they tend to put a lot of OIL mist out unless you have filters etc...
10:05 AM _unreal_: this is a bedroom machine
10:07 AM gloops: well fish tank pumps, fridge pump that kind of thing are quiet enough, not going to blast many chips out though, i suppose light air would help stuff move and cool
10:08 AM _unreal_: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mrS_isKU1jIbi-Nj8ODERujgE2mxSbNa/view?usp=sharing
10:08 AM _unreal_: that is the part I'm making
10:08 AM _unreal_: heat isnt my issue chip build up inside a 1/8th bit thats over .5" depth
10:09 AM _unreal_: its not throwing the chips out
10:09 AM _unreal_: even the spiral upcut is still filling the channel
10:09 AM _unreal_: so I'm just cleaning after every pass. SUCKS but I dont have much for choices
10:10 AM skunkworks: why not a vacumm
10:10 AM skunkworks: we use a vacuum all the time to suck up chips
10:11 AM skunkworks: wet chips.
10:11 AM gloops: i use vac but i only cut wood not metal
10:13 AM _unreal_: cleaned and ready for the next past
10:13 AM _unreal_: I have a VAC but its not picking them up
10:20 AM roycroft: i'd get a noga mist coolant system and dial the pressure up a bit to clear the chips
10:21 AM _unreal_: BED room machine
10:22 AM _unreal_: its only aluminum that is the problem
10:22 AM _unreal_: any other materials I miss clears nicely
10:22 AM _unreal_: with the vacuum
10:31 AM roycroft: aluminium is kind of sticky
10:31 AM roycroft: gummy
10:36 AM JT-Shop: some are some are not depends on the grade
10:37 AM skunkworks: if the chips are melting together -that is another problem.. ;)
10:41 AM skunkworks: I have had this good luck charm for 'gasp' 30 years'ish
10:41 AM skunkworks: http://electronicsam.com/images/greenmachine/IMG_20200822_103930.jpg
10:42 AM skunkworks: got x and z reversed..
10:42 AM JT-Shop: alum chips sticking slow the surface speed down and take bigger chip load or you can't get the heat out of the metal
10:42 AM JT-Shop: what was it supposed to be?
10:43 AM JT-Shop: those keys look 30 years old...
10:46 AM skunkworks: heh
10:47 AM skunkworks: I think it was supposed to hold some sensors (it was a customer part when we used to do work for people)
10:58 AM Tom_L: that sort of work....
10:58 AM Tom_L: :)
10:58 AM roycroft: do you work for robots now?
10:59 AM roycroft: i should head out to the shop
10:59 AM skunkworks: alians..
10:59 AM roycroft: today i should be able to do the first dry assembly of my bench base
11:00 AM roycroft: and mark out and measure for the shelf slats the fit on the lower stretchers
11:00 AM roycroft: once i get them fitted i can do the final assembly of the base, which will be a huge milestone in the project
11:01 AM roycroft: but then the fiddliest parts of the project need to be done
11:01 AM skunkworks: my new work space in the home garage...
11:01 AM skunkworks: http://electronicsam.com/images/greenmachine/IMG_20200812_201153.jpg
11:02 AM skunkworks: http://electronicsam.com/images/greenmachine/IMG_20200730_165824.jpg
11:04 AM Tom_L: that looks too nice to use
11:06 AM skunkworks: it is covered in tools currently....
11:06 AM skunkworks: trying to organize
11:06 AM Tom_L: organization is the workbench cluttered with tools and material on top of more
11:08 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
11:12 AM cradek: nicer than my kitchen! I like the perfect height of the window.
11:12 AM skunkworks: yah - I don't think I planned that..
11:12 AM cradek: putting lights under the cabinets?
11:12 AM skunkworks: yes
11:12 AM Tom_L: may wanna put up a 6" or so plexi guard along the back of the bench there
11:12 AM cradek: at our age we need alllll the light
11:12 AM Tom_L: i thought it was just me
11:15 AM skunkworks: The window needs to be replaced. The outside pane got mower rocked.
11:16 AM JohnS_AZ: Nice space skunkworks .. Having a little garage envy here. :-)
11:17 AM cradek: I suppose you can't just replace the glass in newer windows anymore can you? My house is very old.
11:20 AM skunkworks: I don't know. it is the fixed frame in the vinyl window..
11:20 AM skunkworks: probably cheaper to replace the whole thing.
11:20 AM skunkworks: other than labor
11:26 AM skunkworks: only had the cabnets for about 5 years..
11:27 AM _unreal_: just amazing PVC foam board its like it does not even exist now on my cnc
11:27 AM _unreal_: what a difference this upgrade has made
11:31 AM SpeedEvil: You can buy replacement sealed units often inexpensively.
11:31 AM _unreal_: :) I decided to be smart and use the island feature in the cam software so I didnt waste time milling EVERYTHING :)
11:33 AM _unreal_: making a temp holder so I can FLIP my aluminum part I just made so I can make the pocket on the other side. then I just discovered I have to grind off some materials because there is a spot that contacts :S
11:33 AM _unreal_: when the z on my drillpress goes all the way up
11:36 AM Tom_L: funny how all this crap suddenly gets in the way
11:38 AM * JT-Cave thinks a nap is in order
11:38 AM _unreal_: ?
11:46 AM _unreal_: just weird the spindle is not making heat again?
11:57 AM _unreal_: and back to milling aluminum
11:57 AM _unreal_: sigh
11:58 AM _unreal_: again ? no heat on the spindle
11:58 AM _unreal_: and its under load milling aluminum.....
12:19 PM _unreal_: omg make it go faster
12:19 PM _unreal_: SOOOOOO slow
12:43 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/Brass_cup/Brass_Cup_base1.jpg
12:44 PM skunkworks: neat!
12:47 PM Tom_L: halfway there
12:47 PM skunkworks: what is that for?
12:48 PM Tom_L: just an exercise for making custom threads
12:49 PM Tom_L: the mating part is next
12:53 PM _unreal_: nice
12:54 PM _unreal_: I have an hour left of milling the reverse side of this part for my drillpress
12:54 PM _unreal_: cant wait for it to be done
12:55 PM _unreal_: blaaaa freaking rain again
01:00 PM SpeedEvil is now known as Guest22568
01:04 PM _unreal_: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/717411349541683212/746791673048334426/1598119368881773543472663195263.jpg
01:04 PM _unreal_: current progress
01:07 PM * JT-Cave waits for the bleeding to stop...
01:10 PM Tom_L: good thing it replenishes itself or we'd both be dead
01:12 PM JT-Cave: my stick is alway low so it's an issue for me to stop the loss asap
01:14 PM JT-Cave: dipstick
01:15 PM JavaBean: JT-Cave: https://www.amazon.com/Medique-Products-22617-Clotting-3-Ounce/dp/B003HLLNAU/ i wonder if it works well
01:17 PM JT-Cave: https://www.amazon.com/Biolife-Woundseal-Powder/dp/B010OUZ3FM I use this product
01:20 PM JavaBean: any good?? doesn't seem to have anything to prevent an infection
01:20 PM _unreal_: arg...
01:20 PM _unreal_: 50min left
01:22 PM JT-Cave: JavaBean, it works for me...
01:22 PM JavaBean: most of the "surfaces"/"edges" that cause me injury are not very clean... roofing tar in a wound stings by the way
01:23 PM JT-Cave: I'm anemic, on blood thinners and I assume thin skin with good blood flow so any tiny nick and it looks like the Juila Childs skit on SNL
01:23 PM Tom_L: just use flour
01:24 PM Tom_L: after cleaning it good in gasoline
01:24 PM CaptHindsight: meat glue
01:24 PM JT-Cave: I'll try and stay away from roofing tar
01:25 PM JavaBean: yeah, superglue does work... but again, non-clean "surface"/"edge"
01:25 PM CaptHindsight: pressure bandage and vise grips
01:25 PM Tom_L: corona will get you before that does
01:26 PM CaptHindsight: irrigate wound before sealing
01:27 PM JavaBean: oh, and pva (white elmers school glue) works decent on scrapes... just don't remove it... ever
01:27 PM * JT-Cave stopped drinking corona...
01:28 PM CaptHindsight: i stopped drinking Ebola beer years before
01:29 PM JavaBean: just don't start drinking Black Death
01:30 PM CaptHindsight: https://untappd.com/b/viking-brewery-black-death-beer/84216
01:30 PM CaptHindsight: Porter - Baltic
01:31 PM CaptHindsight: plague brewing
01:31 PM CaptHindsight: https://blackplaguebrewing.com/
01:36 PM _unreal_: welll all of that was a total waste
01:37 PM _unreal_: just discovered I destroyed my part.. I made 3 alterations to the CAM and NON of them saved?
01:37 PM _unreal_: I dont get it
01:37 PM _unreal_: rebooting everything but something is royaly fucked up
01:37 PM _unreal_: becuase something
01:38 PM _unreal_: !@! and there is the problem? WTF??? I've lost network write access
01:38 PM _unreal_: HOWOOOOOOOO in the fuck
01:50 PM hazzy-m: CaptHindsight: Ebola Extra is my favorite
01:51 PM hazzy-m: used to be Corona, but have to change with the times
02:16 PM BitEvil is now known as SpeedEvil
02:51 PM CaptHindsight: andypugh: is it time for a trimmed down LCNC live + install ISO?
02:52 PM CaptHindsight: years ago we trimmed Debian down to CD size for use with hardware utilities
02:52 PM andypugh: What would you trim?
02:53 PM CaptHindsight: maybe the current debian already is but just LCNC a browser and a working desktop
02:53 PM andypugh: I think we would need to remove the desktop to fit on a CD.
02:53 PM CaptHindsight: and a pdf viewer
02:54 PM CaptHindsight: maybe focus on a simple desktop like LXQT
02:55 PM CaptHindsight: the Live install is nice for checking latency
02:55 PM CaptHindsight: but maybe that could be simplified so that it doesn't have to be a whole desktop just to run latency tests
02:56 PM CaptHindsight: do people use the Live version for anything besides the latency test?
02:57 PM CaptHindsight: i niticed that of ask about debian questions in #debian and you mention the LCNC ISO they get upset and ask that you ask elsewhere
02:57 PM CaptHindsight: I noticed that if you ask....
02:58 PM CaptHindsight: maybe building the LCNC was easier 10 years ago, so they went they way they did
03:26 PM Deejay: gn8
03:51 PM miss0r2: CaptHindsight: Evening. I just finished testfitting the first floor segment (The largest one, that will not be easily removeable) https://imgur.com/a/C0zdO65
03:52 PM miss0r2: In the photo you can see a part of the floor that still needs to be covered; that will consist of two separate pieces that will each be removeable (Gearbox access & fuel pump access respectively)
03:52 PM miss0r2: (ofcourse I will add alu angles to all the mating surfaces of the floor to make it look nice and last forever :D )
04:09 PM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
05:27 PM s6d7XSaB_ is now known as {HD}
05:35 PM infornography: any of you peeps ever use the round inserts on endmill? something like a RPMT08
05:41 PM infornography: Also non-peeps
05:42 PM veegee: I want to slim down the diameter of a screwdriver bit made of hardened tool steel (I think) in my lathe
05:42 PM veegee: just going to stick it in the chuck and hold some sandpaper to it, but I'm worried about the dust getting on the slide ways
05:43 PM veegee: is there a better way to do this? Should I just use a regular tungsten carbide cutter instead and do it normally?
05:52 PM W1N9Zr0: why not take it to the bench grinder by hand instead of bothering with the lathe?
05:52 PM andypugh: veegee: You could cover the ways with a cloth. But just machining it seems more logical once it is in the lathe.
05:56 PM roycroft: *whew* my schedule for the weekend may be a bit overly ambitious
05:56 PM roycroft: this ash is extremely hard, and i'm spending a lot of time sharpening my tools
05:57 PM roycroft: but i am making slow but steady progress
05:59 PM _unreal_: at lest your get getting somewhere, I'm starting over on the #$@!#$ part i made because I fucked up and milled half of it away
06:00 PM roycroft: the real problem is that i need the bench i'm building to build the bench i'm building
06:00 PM roycroft: my current bench moves all over the place whenever i work on it
06:00 PM _unreal_: I made the correction but looks like my router was the cause of the fault. stopped local network traffic NOT internet though??? so when I was saving files VIA network they didnt update
06:01 PM XXCoder: sounds very unsafe
06:01 PM XXCoder: cant you temp brace it
06:01 PM XXCoder: use 2x4 cross mebers and such
06:01 PM roycroft: it needs mass
06:01 PM XXCoder: its not like you plan to keep it after
06:02 PM roycroft: actually i'm planning on selling it after
06:02 PM roycroft: so i don't want to mangle it too much
06:02 PM roycroft: it's not unsafe
06:02 PM XXCoder: hmm do it has shelf on under it?
06:02 PM roycroft: it's just wasteful of energy
06:02 PM XXCoder: if so, can you just place some heavy metal
06:02 PM roycroft: yes, but i don't want to load too much weight on it
06:02 PM XXCoder: hmm
06:02 PM roycroft: in case it breaks
06:02 PM XXCoder: on top, if it has room
06:02 PM roycroft: that's where i am working :)
06:03 PM roycroft: i'm about 1/3 done with the heavy hand tooling on the base pieces
06:03 PM roycroft: i'll get through it
06:03 PM XXCoder: sorry out of ideas heh
06:03 PM roycroft: i was hoping to do a full dry assembly of the base tomorrow, but i'm not sure i'll get quite that far at this point
06:03 PM roycroft: thanks :)
06:04 PM roycroft: my plan is to continue working and occsionally complain about it briefly
06:04 PM roycroft: that strategy has worked so far
06:04 PM XXCoder: yep nice recharge excuse: complaining ;)
06:06 PM roycroft: i'm taking a mojito break
06:37 PM veegee: andypugh so tungsten carbide insert cutter?
06:38 PM veegee: I don't think HSS would be good against hardened tool steel
06:38 PM andypugh: That’s what I would use.
06:38 PM Tom_L: if it's hardened i would
06:38 PM andypugh: Well, actually, I would use my tool and cutter grinder, but if I didn’t have that I would use a carbide insert
06:38 PM veegee: I need to slim down some regular cheap wrenches as well. I'm thinking I'll just stick it in the vertical mill and see how that goes
06:39 PM veegee: If not, bench grinder never fails
06:42 PM Rab: veegee, no toolpost grinder?
06:42 PM veegee: Rab I should get one
06:43 PM veegee: Unrelated, I love the ingersoll rand ARO filter/regulator/lubricator stuff. It's "modular" and you can interconnect them with either pipe nipples or a clamp
06:43 PM veegee: The clamp looks like this: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41YqmwKskSL._AC_.jpg
06:43 PM veegee: The clamp however costs $40 CAD whereas the whole F/R/L including the clamp is only $100. But I have more individual units I want to clamp together
06:44 PM veegee: Looks simple enough to machine
06:44 PM veegee: It's just two pieces of metal with a tapered slot which squeezes tapered "dovetail" rails on the unit to clamp two units together as you tighten the screws. Why such a ridiculous price for such a cheap and simple part?
06:45 PM Tom_L: cause most are too lazy to make one
06:45 PM veegee: If it were $10 yeah I'd buy it, but for $40, I can get so much metal and just do it in like 2 operations on a mill
06:46 PM veegee: Just need a V endmill with the right angle and it's literally one cut
06:46 PM veegee: then 2 holes and thread tap and you're donde
06:46 PM veegee: done*
06:47 PM veegee: Well you need the O ring too but you get a pack of 100 for a few dollars
06:47 PM veegee: https://www.grainger.ca/en/product/CLAMP-SPACER%2CFOR-ARO-2000-SERIES/p/ARO104396 wtf $37 CAD just why....
06:51 PM veegee: It's weird because the rest of their stuff is very reasonably priced. The FRL module itself is excellent quality and parts for repair/rebuild are also very reasonably priced. This is just the most stupidly priced part in their entire catalog
07:37 PM andypugh: My linux-fu is weak.
07:37 PM _unreal_: boy this new spindle does not disapoint when it comes to power
07:37 PM andypugh: How can I download all the files in (for example) http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/dists/buster/
07:37 PM _unreal_: 200 vs 300watts but BOY it does NOT disappoint
07:38 PM _unreal_: ahh its something like wget -a -r and HTML link
07:38 PM andypugh: (note that I want the files, sich as gz and deb, not the html and little gifs of folders
07:38 PM _unreal_: your looking for ALL files and recursive
07:39 PM andypugh: No, that just gets me html
07:41 PM andypugh: ‘buildbot.linuxcnc.org/icons/blank.gif’ saved [148/148] (etc)
07:43 PM _unreal_: try
07:43 PM _unreal_: wget --recursive -no-parent http.....
07:45 PM _unreal_: wget --recursive --no-parent http.....
07:46 PM _unreal_: dman
07:46 PM _unreal_: damn
07:47 PM andypugh: I have tried that, same result.
07:49 PM XXCoder: andypugh: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/23446635/how-to-download-http-directory-with-all-files-and-sub-directories-as-they-appear
07:49 PM XXCoder: one guy adds -w so it dont spam download at once
07:50 PM andypugh: That looks like the right question, thanks
07:50 PM jymmmm: are you taking about wget?
07:50 PM XXCoder: it is
07:50 PM andypugh: I don’t mind spaming, this is our server
07:50 PM jymmmm: andypugh: are you trying to archive?
07:51 PM XXCoder: also, youre welcome
07:51 PM andypugh: No, I am trying to move a set of repository files from one server to another
07:52 PM jymmmm: andypugh: via http or ssh?
07:53 PM jymmmm: ...or sftp
07:53 PM andypugh: by http
07:53 PM jymmmm: using wget?
07:54 PM andypugh: Well, yes, except that wget doesn’t seem to work
07:54 PM jymmmm: what version?
07:55 PM XXCoder: some servers block massive download requests I think
07:56 PM _unreal_: ya I'm geting robot.txt
07:56 PM _unreal_: every combo I've tried
07:56 PM jymmmm: andypugh: If you got it, cool, not trying to barge in, just offering to help
07:56 PM _unreal_: the only thing that got me more then index and robot was -m
07:56 PM andypugh: XXCoder: it was the right question, but not apparently, the right answer
07:56 PM andypugh: 2020-08-23 01:55:43 (531 MB/s) - ‘dists/buster/index.html.tmp’ saved [3064/3064]
07:56 PM andypugh: 2020-08-23 01:55:43 (90.1 MB/s) - ‘robots.txt’ saved [897/897]
07:57 PM andypugh: (ie, I only get two little files)
07:57 PM _unreal_: but even that was the icons folder LOL
07:57 PM _unreal_: HTML shit
07:57 PM XXCoder: hmmm
07:57 PM jymmmm: andypugh: whats the string you are using?
07:57 PM jymmmm: and is this http or https?
07:57 PM XXCoder: sorry too dizzy to troubleshoot heh
07:58 PM andypugh: jymmmm: wget -r -np -nH -R index.html robots=off http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/dists/buster/
07:59 PM jymmmm: andypugh: gimme a coule of minutes
08:01 PM andypugh: One of the incantations created a file called “-r” which is fun to delete
08:01 PM andypugh: ls
08:03 PM _unreal_: GOT IT
08:03 PM _unreal_: wget --no-clobber --convert-links --random-wait -r -p --level 1 -E -e robots=off -U mozilla http:

08:05 PM XXCoder: nice!
08:05 PM Tom_L: i need an undercut at the bottom of the thread but my cutter wouldn't fit. i'll do it another way tomorrow
08:05 PM XXCoder: whats your plans for external finish?
08:05 PM _unreal_: andypugh, that command works
08:06 PM _unreal_: got everything
08:06 PM Tom_L: XXCoder, turn it down bright n shiney?
08:06 PM jymmmm: andypugh: _unreal_ command worked for me too... wget --no-clobber --convert-links --random-wait -r -p --level 1 -E -e robots=off -U mozilla http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/dists/buster/
08:06 PM XXCoder: nice
08:06 PM andypugh: what does random-wait do?
08:07 PM XXCoder: i suspect wait random times between files
08:07 PM _unreal_: ya needed to add a few mroe switches
08:07 PM jymmmm: --random-wait wait from 0.5*WAIT...1.5*WAIT secs between retrievals
08:08 PM jymmmm: andypugh: wget --help
08:09 PM _unreal_: I'm not sure how to stop from aquiring the HTLM files as well? thats throwing me. it has to do with the server side robots bs
08:15 PM andypugh: -R”*.html”
08:16 PM XXCoder: worked?
08:18 PM andypugh: Seems to be working
08:18 PM XXCoder: nice
08:18 PM andypugh: Lots of big files
08:19 PM Tom_L: you wanted less ssd space right?
08:20 PM andypugh: It’s annoying that -R downloads the files then deletes them, rather than skipping them
08:21 PM XXCoder: strange. it'd be so easy to string compare before download
08:55 PM CaptHindsight: for those Roman history fans https://imgur.com/gallery/esQ9Azg
09:24 PM roycroft: it probably has to parse links in the html files to know what else to download
09:48 PM CaptHindsight: maybe the LCNC installer can automagically install hexchat and take you right to #linuxcnc when you press a Help button
09:52 PM CaptHindsight: ah never mind freenode makes you log in before you can access a channel
09:56 PM Tom_L: login as chips
09:57 PM Tom_L: preregister it
09:57 PM skunkworks: should just give them a few numbers to call..
10:00 PM CaptHindsight: anything worth watching tonight?
10:01 PM Tom_L: skunkworks, did you see the final?
10:03 PM Tom_L: capn, haven't had it on all night
