12:00 AM roycroft: i use a diamond plate to flatten my waterstones
12:05 AM roycroft: it would work fine for oilstones too
12:05 AM roycroft: https://www.woodcraft.com/products/dmt-dia-flat-lapping-plate
12:05 AM roycroft: that is what i have
12:05 AM roycroft: and it works brilliantly, and will last for years
12:05 AM roycroft: or just buy three of the norton stones and lap them against each other
12:24 AM -!- #linuxcnc mode set to +v by ChanServ
01:05 AM ve7it: _unreal_, hey... dont know about the auto tune.... the pid values are usually pretty easy to figure out

03:10 AM Loetmichel: Sooo, PLA hotbox for the 2/4 3d-printers done... now i just have to buy a incandescent lamp or two and a thermostat and some suggestion how hot to make it inside there... -> http://www.cyrom.org/palbum/main.php?g2_itemId=17663&g2_imageViewsIndex=1

04:52 AM jthornton: morning
04:53 AM XXCoder: yo
04:56 AM jthornton: hmm I ate a Marco's medium pizza yesterday after leaving the cardiologist in Cape Girardeau yesterday for a total of 2770 calories for the day and lost 0.4 pounds... that doesn't make sense
04:56 AM XXCoder: under 5 pounds dont matter
04:56 AM XXCoder: your weight varies too much for that to matter, across day
04:57 AM XXCoder: always weight yourself right after you wake up, thats better reference weight than random time of day
04:57 AM jthornton: right, that's when I weigh after I void in the morning before drinking any coffee
04:58 AM XXCoder: thats good
05:02 AM Tom_L: morning

07:56 AM beachbumpete1: hello
08:11 AM Loetmichel: MAAAN do i hate to have the "part-time admin" hat... this company network is a nightmare... took me a good day to find that the /&$%/&& router had "any ip/any network" as a fallback for portforward-orgingins when the Internet IP changes. makes for "Funny" problems with circling packets and denied services. (not like i have better things to do... plenty of them... :-( )
09:04 AM perry_j1987: nothin like relaxing a bit with some kicad work
09:37 AM jthornton: crap the JET jointer I was going to buy tomorrow just got sold...

11:36 AM pingufan: Good evening. I spent some hours with trying to get a CANON MX925 scanning over WiFi. No success. An older laptop, running some sort of Ubuntu, works fine, but it was not configured by me and so I don't know what has to be done. I installed the original CANON driver (rpm 64 bit) on Leap 15.1, but it only searchews on USB.
11:36 AM pingufan: Any idea what has to be done in addition?
01:36 PM unterhaus: each stmbl needs its own SPI port, correct?
01:46 PM pcw_mesa: If you mean sserial port, Yes
01:52 PM unterhaus: so if I were to get a 7c81, how would I interface 4 stmbls? 25 pin daughter card?
01:56 PM pcw_mesa: Either daughtercard (7I74, 7I85,7I85S) or use another FPGA card (say 7I94)
02:02 PM unterhaus: is there a 25 pin to 50 pin conversion board?
02:10 PM Tom_L: unterhaus, probably not since the 25pin has fewer io
02:11 PM unterhaus: there is only 72 i/o on 3x50 pin connectors
02:12 PM Tom_L: there are 17? on a db25
02:29 PM pcw_mesa: yes DB25 parallel port pinout is 17 signals 8 grounds, our 50 pin FPGA cards have 24 signals per connector
02:30 PM pcw_mesa: there is a cable adapter but you of course lose the last 7 pins on the 50 pin side
02:33 PM unterhaus: I might just get a 6i24 if my $10 dell can run a 1khz servo thread without hiccuping
02:44 PM pcw_mesa: I would think almost anything can run a 1 KHz servo thread on PCI/PCIE
02:48 PM pcw_mesa: 50 pin because you have a 50 pin daughtercard for the STMBL already?
03:42 PM Deejay: gn8
03:55 PM unterhaus: yes, I have 50 pin mesa daughtercards
06:18 PM andypugh: XXCoder: A video for you (captions only, I couldn’t be bothered over-dubbing my voice) https://youtu.be/JO8lLaV6pbw

10:26 PM _unreal_: ve7it, I figured I'd point it out a least
10:32 PM _unreal_: ve7it, I gave up and just ordered caps, 27,000uf 75V cheapest I could find. :S 40 each.
10:33 PM ve7it: hmmmm
10:33 PM _unreal_: the same caps from digikey where $20 more EACH

11:58 PM CaptHindsight: Tom_L: where do you think capacitors comes from? It's giving birth
11:59 PM Tom_L: damn! you're right!!
11:59 PM CaptHindsight: did you see the pic of the UPS with the brick inside?
