08:55 PM _unreal_: ve7it, just got back
09:18 PM _unreal_: ve7it, you live?
09:19 PM Tom_itx: memorex
09:21 PM Tom_itx is now known as Tom_L
09:37 PM _unreal_: quite in here
09:55 PM XXCoder: youre quite in it yeah
09:55 PM XXCoder: ;)
10:05 PM _unreal_: hum
10:06 PM XXCoder: quiet tho
10:06 PM _unreal_: trying to figure out how to identify what wires are what on this BLDC as far as what one's are the HALL sensors
10:06 PM _unreal_: +v -v pickups?
10:06 PM _unreal_: and wha wires are what in order?
11:05 PM ve7it: _unreal_, I suspect the wire colors could match the other motors you have... open a db25 on one of them and figure the connections out
11:08 PM ve7it: andypugh robot porn.... cant stop watching
11:09 PM _unreal_: heh
11:09 PM _unreal_: I've opened some but I'm not sure
11:09 PM _unreal_: the quad encover thats easy
11:09 PM _unreal_: encoder
11:09 PM _unreal_: the motor power thats easy ish but I dont know what what is U V W
11:09 PM _unreal_: exactly and same with th encoders
11:09 PM _unreal_: midnight here I'm about to crash
11:11 PM ve7it: uvw should be heavy wires... doesnt matter what is what for those 3... probably very low resistance between the wires... 10 ohms or less?
11:12 PM XXCoder: ve7it: careful or you will get blind or grow wires out of palms ;)
11:12 PM ve7it: where was she when I was all alone in my youth?
11:13 PM ve7it: I am all for promoting international relations
11:17 PM _unreal_: I have one of the "higher" quality encoder based motors appart
11:17 PM _unreal_: saddly the wire color scheme is NOT standard
11:17 PM _unreal_: between the different bldcs I have
11:21 PM _unreal_: well I do know what wire is +v on this motor for the hall's
11:25 PM _unreal_: ya its after midnight I'm head bobbing especially after 6 hours of driving today
11:25 PM _unreal_: 1hr+ to work and from work. and the 3hour drive for my child
11:25 PM _unreal_: BLAAA
11:26 PM _unreal_: tomorrow I'm going to probe the hall encoders see if I can figure out HOW to identify +v on them
11:26 PM _unreal_: +v and ground
11:26 PM ve7it: gnite ... dream of servos dancing on the bench
11:26 PM _unreal_: heh
11:26 PM _unreal_: I have a decent dmm
11:26 PM _unreal_: with scope features
11:27 PM _unreal_: I just need to do a test bench setup
11:27 PM ve7it: yup... then you can power them up and turn the motor you should see hall signals 120 degrees apart
11:27 PM _unreal_: ya
11:27 PM _unreal_: motor wires are easy to find
11:27 PM _unreal_: its just figuring out what winding pair matches what hall
11:29 PM _unreal_: I could just use LED's for identifying hall's?
11:29 PM _unreal_: I wish I could see the letters on the hall sensors but I REALLLY cant make them out
11:29 PM _unreal_: I do know whats +v -v and sig on the motor I have apart
11:32 PM _unreal_: ve7it, what is your idea/plan on driving the signal pin on the motor controller I have?
11:56 PM ve7it: probably pwm... see if that works
